Alpha 0.8.9
This is a very small update, and it’s released mostly to fix a water gun operation issue. In the previous version it was impossible to aim accurately if you attempted to shoot and run at the same time. Now aiming remains stable while standing, walking, and running.
☆ GUI and gameplay changes
The skills mechanic is redesigned. Now all skills are assigned to your character (in the past it was planned to assign them to girlfriend).
There is a new status window for your character, appearing if you click on the status button in the in-game smartphone, showing your current skills and achievements.
There are three skills and two stats in your status window (more skills will be added in future updates).
cooking skill is increased every time you cook any 100% food.
music skill is increased by completing piano challenges.
sports skill is increased by playing hide-and-seek and the water gun VR game.
All skills can also go down if you fail the respective activities. Right now skills don’t have any effect – it’s mostly a preparation step towards the final version of the game, where you’ll have to work on specific skills to increase compatibility with your girlfriend.
Girlfriend’s status window is moved from toolbar panel to the in-game smartphone, too, since it’s used during gameplay only occasionally, and there is no need to show it on screen all the time.

A special water gun VR mini-game will be available throughout October 2018.
Water gun shooting mini-game was one of most distinct features of ai sp@ce - the discontinued MMO that always was the main source of inspiration for Shoujo City. This year marks ten years since official launch of ai sp@ce (October 15, 2008), so I wanted to make some special in-game event to celebrate this date.
To start the mini-game, you'll have to buy a water gun, VR glasses and a ticket (sold in a stall near the convenience store). Two spots for the game are located on the school sports field and in the shrine. To fill your water gun with water you can use temizuya in the shrine, or one of hand washing basins in the school.
The goal of the game is to destroy all portals, while also eliminating cat soldiers spawning from them. After all portals are destroyed, you can collect prize boxes that will give you a random prize:

Graphics update (0.8.7)
☆ Graphics updates
All background buildings in apartment, school, and Summer Town maps were redone with higher quality, better textures, and more detailed 3D models. New street signs and rooftop air conditioners.
This is the third part of graphics updates (previous ones: 0.8.3 - new main buildings, 0.8.5 - new plants) done to get rid of all low-quality assets from early development stages of the game and bring all models and textures to consistent style and quality level.

Ferris Wheel (0.8.6)
☆ Ferris wheel
The Ferris wheel is opened in the Summer Town map and can be used as a dating spot. Ride can be finished by either waiting for the wheel to make a full spin and walking out when doors open, or by clicking on “phone” button and ending it any time.
There is also a new takoyaki stall in the Summer Town. Takoyaki and several other grilled snacks now can be bought in this stall instead of taiyaki shop.

Two Yandere Simulator t-shirts with character artwork were removed for now (they will be redone with better artwork later).

Graphics update (0.8.3)
☆ Graphics updates
This update is dedicated mostly to graphics improvements. Many low quality and blurry textures from early development stages of the game (mostly from "school" and "apartment" maps) are replaced with new high resolution textures.
Main school building, gym, all auxiliary school buildings, all shops across the school, cafe, and apartment building are recreated from a scratch with much better quality (both 3D models and textures).
Many other interior and exterior items were also completely redone with better quality, including: porches, stairs, pavements, school gates, kitchens, metro station, hand washing basins, air conditioners, various railings and poles, and numerous smaller items and decorations.

All maps have small bamboo trees with Tanabata paper decorations (Tanabata is a traditional summer festival celebrated in Japan on July 7).

The “rack b” (with computer) now has two additional slots for window and balcony door curtains. New curtains can be bought in the convenience store (2 different designs thus far). After placing them on windows you can open and close curtains by using “action” button.
Computer in apartment room now can be used to read update log for the newest version of the game. Also, you can buy a new computer in the convenience store (3 different computers are available).

The roller coaster ride in the Summer Town park is finished and now can be used as a dating activity. One ride will give you +3 relationship points (only once per day). If you date a pillow, you'll have to place her in the coaster cart to start a ride.
Some areas of the park were redesigned, more attractions and buildings will be added in future updates. There is also a new ferris wheel (under construction).
