Once again we would like to give a big thank you to everyone who's shown interest in and given their critiques and feedback for Shutter. Your interest and ideas are really helping us to make a much larger and more ambitious title than the first.
As we're starting to receive more interest and inquiries for the sequel, we wanted to share some screenshots and information with the community to help provide an idea as to how much larger the sequel is actually going to be.
Some things to point out:
- In total, we're looking at about 20+ unique environments to be found, each one of them is close to or larger than the entire original Shutter in size
- A new RC vehicle is going to be used, complete with new abilities and upgrade-able features.
- Game will have more "Survival Horror" elements incorporated as well, and enemy encounters are going to be much more random to keep the player guessing
- Secret areas and stories will also be possible for the player to find.
Some things to note about the screenshots. As we haven't finished the design for the new RC, you'll notice the original RC being used in some of the shots, this is just something we're using to test the level design as we go, and the original RC won't be used in the final game. This is also a pre-alpha pass on the graphics, we plan on incorporating much more detail and interactive objects before final release.
If images appear dark on some monitors you may have to adjust your brightness. It's a fairly atmospheric game (i.e flashlight heavy)
Thank you so much again for your support. And we hope you'll check out the sequel when it's available.

Price Drop
We have decided to drop the price of Shutter to $1.99 (USD/CDN) in an effort to gain more exposure as we draw close to revealing the sequel.
We truly appreciate all the support from the community, and it has given us the opportunity to create more ambitious games and learn from our mistakes. We have listened to all your feedback, and we have designed Shutter 2 from the ground up with these considerations in mind.
