Shuyan Saga Update - Full Mandarin V.O. Now Available!
We’re pleased to announce that as of today the game now features full Mandarin-language voice over of all the original English-language dialogue. This is in addition to the simplified and traditional Chinese subtitles that were already present in the game. We’re thrilled by the warm response Shuyan Saga has received from players in China. We really didn’t anticipate this, and we wanted to do something to express our thanks!

To deliver this voice over we worked with an amazing dubbing studio in Beijing, Parfait Culture, and we’re thrilled with the result. Please note that the full original English-language dialogue (starring the amazing Kristin Kreuk as the voice of Shuyan) is still there! This update simply provides the option for Mandarin speakers to enjoy the dialogue in their native language. Or, hey, try both! :-)

We’re humbled by all the support and recognition we’ve received for this game—including now a 2018 Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Original Interactive Production (wow!) We still have a list of things we’re working on to share with all our players, so stay tuned! And thanks again for your support of Shuyan Saga!

首先，是很多玩家期待的中文配音版终于要和大家见面了。我们邀请了北京的专业配音演员，为游戏进行了高质量的中文配音，希望大家能够喜欢。

不仅如此，我们将给予中文玩家价格上的最大优惠！经过仔细研究Steam的定价体系，我们发现尽管我们团队给《书雁传奇》统一定了价位，Steam却针对不同国家的市场调整了价格。例如，目前《书雁传奇》在俄罗斯的定价经过Steam的调整后就低于在中国大陆的定价。我们认为这对于中国大陆的玩家非常不公平。因此，我们决定调整《书雁传奇》在中国大陆的价位，使它成为所有国家中最优惠的。同时，我们也相应调整了香港、澳门和台湾的价位，以酬谢那里朋友们的支持！因为中国功夫是所有华人的骄傲！

You Spoke, We listened!
Today we are pleased to announce a major update to Shuyan Saga! We've been looking through the comments and reviews to see what’s working and what isn't. Although we can't address every comment right away, we can start with some common ones! Today we are happy to announce some additions to the experience players expect from Steam. We've added 9 achievements unlocked through narrative, tournament and temple modes. We've also added Steam Trading cards for you to collect and earn Shuyan Saga swag to show off on your profile.

Some people have said the final boss battle is too easy. We are trying to walk the line between a casual graphic novel and an action game...it's a challenge! After lots of debate we also tweaked the final fight to make it a little harder, to hopefully extend the experience and make your victory all the sweeter. We also noticed that the vast majority of players are playing the entire game on the lowest difficulty level. So please also remember that you can try a higher level of difficulty if you feel like a challenge!

We’re really thankful to those who have supported this game—it means a lot to us! Keep the comments coming. And enjoy the game!

And the voice of Shuyan is...Kristin Kreuk!
A new trailer from Lofty Sky Entertainment announces Kristin Kreuk (“Smallville”, “Beauty and the Beast") as Voice of Shuyan in the upcoming Action Graphic Novel: Shuyan Saga on August 8 for $19.99 USD via Steam.

Kristin Kreuk, back-to-back People’s Choice Award winner in 2014 and 2015 for her role in the hit TV show Beauty and the Beast on the CW also played Lana Lang on Smallville and starred as Chun Li in the film Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li.

"Shuyan's story is about working hard to become the best version of yourself," says Kristin. "She has a good head on her shoulders but at the same time, she isn't perfect. She has a temper, and an ego! I really love that because, of course, no one is perfect. She is always trying to improve herself though, which I think is so important."

Kristin fully embodies Shuyan, says Produce Jason Loftus: “When it was time to finally choose the voice cast I thought there would be a lot of opinions who we really felt reflected the character. It was really unanimous, though. Kristin is not a stranger to the culture and to martial arts. She was just a perfect fit, and a we’re thrilled she was interested."

Shuyan Saga is a graphic novel series where action scenes come alive through 3D combat gameplay. Set in an ancient Chinese martial arts fantasy universe, the player embarks on a life-changing journey as Shuyan — a carefree Princess fed-up with her constricted and pampered life — to become a true disciple of Kung-Fu and stop the evil Guer horde from destroying the Five Kingdoms.

KEY FEATURES

Hand-Drawn Art—Over 1,400 beautifully illustrated panels from one of the top Asian comic artists, Daxiong (he’s drawn Star Wars for Dark Horse and Superman for DC Comics, and more).

Original Story—Set in a fantasy world inspired by ancient China, filled with myth and lore.
