Birthday Celebrations
It is that time of the year again where we celebrate the birthday of our glorious Head Overseer, the one who created Siberian Dawn and caused us all such headaches of a strategic nature over the last 7 years.
But how are we going to celebrate this wonderful occasion you might ask, or not? Well we are going to have the biggest sale of Siberian Dawn ever with a 50% discount on the game and DLC until the 30th May.
We are also going to share some news on what our glorious Head Overseer is working on for the future. The next deck building card game, the Dream project, is going well with the core program completed, and he is now building the first dream so he can see how the mechanics are working together in an actual game. Our Head Overseer has also started to put together the structure for Siberian Dawn Chapter 2, the conclusion of the Siberian Dawn story, as all stories really need to be completed. And he is also continuing to work on his epic 9 novel fantasy series, which has been ongoing for a few years now since the first one was published, but he still enjoys working on it and all the twisted ideas he is adding so one year it might all see the light.

Seasonal Wrapping and Sale
Looking back at 2024 now as it draws to a close we had a lot of new content added to Siberian Dawn with the 6.0 update. We had the Crisis Mode, the third game mode, added for free to the game. We had the Heroes of the Union DLC bringing 8 new heroes to the game along with new abilities. And finally we had the free Winterflood DLC bringing me to the game. So it has been pretty eventful with new content filling in some of the final missing elements.
And finally, as always, feel free to comment about the game and what you think as that is a vital way for me to see how things are going, and helps with what I do next, and I hope you all have a great holiday and the new year brings us all plenty of excitement of the good kind.

The Future
Over these 6 years there has been a lot of content added to Siberian, with numerous missions and several game modes to choose from, giving a player many hours of gameplay within, so what next?
For over a year now I have been working on the next version of the Lore engine, the Deckbuilding engine that runs the game. Taking what I did in Siberian Dawn I have trimmed out the wargame elements that made Siberian Dawn distinct and now created a Deckbuilder that is more streamlined and closer to the other Deckbuilders out there, but still with a number of new features to make it unique.
This new engine is complete and while building it I was also designing the game ideas to use with it, so I now have a couple of unique designs that a ready to be produced. These games have a very different theme and structure to Siberian Dawn, as there really isn’t any point to making another Siberian Dawn, as I have already been there and done that.
I don’t know how long it will be before you see the first of these new game, as I am not rushing to do them, but taking my time and making them the best they can be at launch. But watch this space for any future news.

Today is the start of a 2 week celebration of the birthday of the creator of Siberian Dawn, a time to rejoice in the wonder of our Head Overseer and his work. But as our benevolent Head Overseer is such a generous Overseer he doesn’t expect to receive presents at this time. Oh no, he is giving presents to you all with a new discount sale on Siberian Dawn and a brand new free DLC for all his fellow Overseers. New DLC Present
A character over 10 years in the making finally joins Siberian Dawn today.
Way back at the start of work on Siberian Dawn one of the first paintings of an Overseer was started. That picture has lurked in development, getting the occasional revisit every couple of years, but now it is finally finished and adorns the new card. Winterflood has arrived in Siberian Dawn with the new DLC that is free for every player of Siberian Dawn.

7.0 Update - Heroes of the Union
Heroes Arrive
Today Siberian Dawn gets the major 7.0 update and the Heroes of the Union DLC arrives.

Heroes of the Union adds 8 new Rank 7 Units to the Union Bloc, each with their own distinct abilities and skills to expand the tactics of the game. They can be added in a couple of ways to the game from within the ARK, and all these new cards can be used in all modes except the Training Missions, so can be deployed in Mission, Skirmish, and Crisis modes, giving you an increased range of weapons at your disposal over those offered in the Core game
Heroes of the Union
The 8 new heroes added with this DLC expand and add to the forces you had with the Core game, giving new ways to tackle the missions. With 3 new Core units, 3 new Edge units, and 2 new Mentor types, the range of Union Blocs are covered here and now give a greater selection for you.
In the ARK you will find the new Heroes pod where you can control how you want to add the Heroes to a game with either a random 2 in the Market, an event that costs ARK points, a combination of the two, or adding all 8 to the Market.
Lone Wolf
Hein D and Hein K, two sisters who are introduced as heroes in the DLC, both bring a new ability into the game called Lone Wolf. If a unit with the Lone Wolf X ability is the only one of your units on a Flank and they perform an action then they will have the X value of the Lone Wolf ability added to the action as a bonus.
Guard
The Heroes of the Union DLC also adds the Guard status to the tactics cards, giving you a way to defend a Flank with only 1 unit.
Guard is a new Status card that is added to the tactics market that opens up a whole new set of tactical options for your mission. This new card lets you place a solitary unit on a flank into Guard. This unit will then defend the empty site next to them and any attacks from the hostile units on that flank will be directed towards the guarding unit. You will also gain the 1 Influence point in the End phase for the empty site as if it was occupied. The Act ability for the Guard card is to gain 1 Impact.

In the rest of the update I have added 8 new ARK entries for the new Union cards from the Heroes
of the Union DLC along with the ARK entry for the Investigator from the previous Crisis update. There are also various edits and tweaks to the communication during a mission to improve clarity of communication and remove any mistakes that might have slipped through

A Crisis Arrives With 6.0 Update
Crisis Mode
Crisis Mode, The final game mode for Siberian Dawn, is now finished and headlines this 6.0 update.
This new mode uses the normal Mission structure with the player trying to uncover the leader of the hostile forces responsible for this Crisis affecting our Union, by completing a series of Crisis Points, but with a few changes placed on top to give a new twist to the game.
At the start of each Crisis Point you will be given two choices to pick from, with each Crisis Point having a set of 3 actions that will earn or lose you progress in that Crisis Point. When you have reached the target of 20 points by completing these actions you will then get another Crisis Point.
Each Crisis Point will also have a set of modifications to the ongoing Mission and will also give you points towards resolving the Crisis overall. Once you have reached the target Crisis value you will then get the Final Crisis objective.
2 Crisis Missions have been created, for this update, with one for the Core game and one for Chapter 1 that requires both Mission Pack 1 and 2.
The Investigator Arrives
To help you in the Crisis I have also created the Investigator as a new Union card added to the Starting Deck of the Overseer when playing the Crisis Mode. He gives you various ways to earn progress outside of completing the tasks of the Crisis Point.
Right Click To Resolve Quick
Another big addition now added is the option of using the right mouse button to resolve the action currently shown on the Resolve Button to make the game quicker to play, so you do not have to keep moving to the Resolve Button to complete an action.
Over To You Overseer
And so with this update I have now added all the planned game modes to Siberian Dawn, giving you a range of ways to experience the game.
As it is only me that is working on and checking the game some rogue elements might have slipped past my eyes, so if anything seems wrong or a bug creeps up, let me know and I will look into them.
