Just fixed a big game breaking bug (that i could have sworn i fixed in a previous build... I guess I forgot to save after compiling... blah)... Anyway, if anyone's game ever freaked out after the Ferry witch boss battle, that's all cleared up. Also, reincluded Joy to Key in the folder... Somehow that went missing as well.
There's also a super secret God mode, if you can figure it out....
Thanks to Dr. Von MonkeyStein for finding that Bug during his let's play series.
New version update !
Just made a few tweaks and updates. There is now a Quick Save feature, which allows you to save your progress, although you when resuming play, you will automatically be warped back to the last Save-O-Potty that you used, But you'll keep all the items, kills, etc.
Also fixed that obnoxious pause menu thing, where if you click outside of the game window to adjust volume, or whatever else, it would unpause... Well, that's fixed now.
Of course, which each new bug fix, there's always the possibility of unintended side effects... so, if you see something funky... Please lemme know.
Controller support...
Because steam is a pain in the ass, I've included JoyToKey in the file folder, complete with an XBOX controller config... So, if you need quick and easy gamepad support... Just go to - C:/program filesx86/Steam/SteamApps/common/SilverIsland... Run joy to key and voila... Instant game pad support.
Silver Island Released !
After an absurd amount of time spent developing, promoting and trying to get green lit, this tale of Zombies, Kittens, and dumpster diving through the hood, it has finally happened. Silver Island is here, on Steam...
I'm relatively new to Steam, myself, so I'm still figuring out how things work around here. Just today, I spent at least three hours trying to figure out how to configure my Xbox controller in my settings to play the damn game without it shutting off... Turns out, either the Steam Client has bugs, or I'm retarded... Which isn't something you'd wanna hear from the developer of this game, so I'm gonna go back and say that it is likely the Steam client...
That said, Controller support does in fact seem to work, you just have to jump through some hoops... At some point, I'm going to attempt to upload some config files, and possibly do a build of the game that will be able to interact with the Xbox controller without any extra BS...
Moving forward, it's been a long and crazy task, and to be honest, I didn't think we'd end up getting green lit, so to everybody out there that supported this game along the way, I send a big thanks, tip the hat, drink a beer, and give the spiritual high five.
I was just beginning to work on a new project when this thing finally got the go ahead from the Steam community, so right now, my primary focus will be on updates, some major, some minor... I don't think I'm going to bother mucking about with DLC... I'd rather just make any changes in the updates... I see no reason to charge for extras. As it stands, The game/Plot, etc is all done. At the very most, I'll probably add some extra areas, easter eggs, and eventually a graphical update.
A graphical overhaul is in the works, however, that will be released as an optional update- But that's all stuff in the future...
Anyway, any questions, comments, etc, feel free to post whatever you'd like in the forums. Post whatever you want, I don't care, just don't violate any of Steams TOS, whatever they may be. Thanks all, be well.
