V1.0 release! Sink Again is out of early access

WE DID IT



A few minutes ago I published Sink Again v1.0. And now the game is no longer in Early Access.

From the start of early access the game have got many improvements:

  • All critical bugs have been fixed.
  • New mechanics have been added and old ones have been fixed and modified.
  • The amount of content in the game has almost doubled.
  • Prices, characteristics of pirates and items and everything else were rebalanced.


UPDATE V1.0



The difference between v0.90 and v1.00:

  • Added Steam Achievements
  • Lockpicking is now a mini-game
  • Now you can capture the ship that you successfully boarded
  • Now you can flee from the battle if everything went wrong
  • The world has almost doubled in area. There are many more islands for research
  • The use of drinks is no longer active action and drink's effect last much longer. Voodoo magic also lasts longer.


And many other little things.

It is highly recommended to reset game progress for scenarios in the main menu. Since there is a possibility that old save files can lead to unexpected results.

LANGUAGES



Brazilian-Portuguese language has been added to the game. For this, many thanks to Thiago "Thitz" Mania , who took over the Brazilian-Portuguese localization.

Also soon French and Italian localization may appear in the game. Negotiations are already underway.

NEW MISSION PACK!

NEW MISSION PACK



In a few minutes, I will publish a new build that almost doubles the number of missions in the game. New missions turned out to be longer, more original, with new game content.

Those players who purchased the game at the start of Early Access know that since the very first build, new characters, inventory items, traits and even animals have been added to the game. You may not see some of this content when you start the game after the game update, since this content has now become a reward for completing new missions. This will not come as a surprise to those who follow the news, as it was planned from the very beginning. New content came out ahead of time to make it easier for you to wait for the full release of the game.

I hope you all enjoy the new missions.

FIXING BUGS


As with any other update, this one fixes many bugs:


  • Fixed a bug with infinite experience in the mission with the fountain of youth
  • Dismissal of pirates
  • When a pirate dies, his items are now transferred to the ship's inventory
  • Fixed speed panel at sea
  • Fixed a bug with the captain's bonus that stopped working
  • Some typos in localizations
  • Many other little things


Unfortunately, with the addition of new entities to the game, it is not possible to continue the game you started in an earlier version. I apologize for that. But your progress on missions will still remain.

VERSION 1.0 RELEASE


Version 1.0 will be published within 3-4 weeks!
Until that moment, updates will not be released, since I have implemented all the content updates that I planned.

Version 1.0 will include:

  • Steam Achievements
  • Most likely, immediately after the release of version 1.0, the game will be localized in French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese. But so far this is not certain.
  • Reworking and adding new mechanics
  • The global map will become 2 times larger in area
  • Lockpicking will become more interactive
  • Changed balance of prices for goods, characteristics of characters and inventory items
  • Fixed remaining bugs


Perhaps I forgot to list something. If you find a bug in the game or you have suggestions that will not take too long to implement and at the same time improve the gameplay, then leave comments in the appropriate section on Steam.

Recommend the game to your friends or present it to your friends in honor of the winter holidays. So they could also get a charge of hot tropical mood in the cold season.

Ahoy players. There is a new big update.

SAVES CORRUPTION


I've got lot of feedback that after the update players cannot continue last saved scenario. I've tried to solve this and I think this is impossible to avoid it. Since almost every update affect entities which save files contain. I feel sorry about that but this is an early access and I hope you will understand. I will not upload updates as often as before (few times a week). This is why I skipped to upload v0.86. Please set the update of Sink Again only on your demand if you do not want to lose saves when new update released. The scenarios which you completed are will remain completed. Do not worry.

PET-SHOP


Now good news. I added one of the features that I had to reject before but now when the game in early access I added it. It is a pet-shop. From now all the pirates has one more inventory slot and some of the towns had a pet-shop. Check it out in a game.

NEW ROOMS


Since the game has generated world which is good for replayability but harder to get something unique. To make the game less repeatable I add a new visual theme for dungeons which you can also see in a game. Also there are more new rooms.

I hope both new features will make your adventures even more unique.
The next thing which I want to add are new scenarios. As I said many times scenarios are very time consuming content. I still continue to make content which was rejected before. After the missions I will start to implement all other features that I planned (Steam achievements, game mechanics improvement, etc) and in about a 1-2 months I will release version 1.0
