Skeet Patch 2.1

In preparation for something a bit bigger, we have just released patch 2.1 offering several minor improvements and quality of life changes. Items in this update include:


  • Improved particle effect from the muzzle when a shot is fired
  • Improved haptic feedback
  • Added haptic feedback when the gun is pointed at interactable UI elements
  • Added animation to interactable UI elements when the gun is pointed at them
  • Improved headset-type detection. This should fix any issue where oculus users were placed in SteamVR mode which resulted in spawning under the world.
  • Adjusted menu scale and position to be closer to the player

Skeet - Patch 2.0

Skeet patch 2.0 brings many new features to Vive and now also Oculus Rift!

-Support for Oculus Rift with Touch controls. Seeking Oculus Store integration shortly!
-Three new modes! Bounce, Targetwall, Animal Gallery modes added.
-A new gun! Tommygun allows for 30 rounds of automatic fire, but requires higher accuracy.
-Global and Friend leaderboards for each mode.
-Teleportation. You can now explore the area directly around you. This should make it easier for those who had difficulty reaching the gun table.
-New UI to support the new modes, including the leaderboards and our new logo.
-Trading Cards, Badges, and Emoticons!

Additionally, this update features the Thank You DLC. We frequently recieve feedback that some fans would be willing to pay for the Skeet experience. We greatly appreciate this, and while we want to ensure Skeet's content will be free for VR gamers to enjoy, we wanted to include a special way to help support Flatbox.

To this end, we are introducing the Thank You DLC. We want to be clear: this DLC features minimal content, and is a way to help support us as developers. Included in the Thank You DLC is a statue which sits besides the gun table, and an icon which will display next to your name on the leaderboards.

You can purchase the Thank You DLC at one of three teirs, which sets the quality of your statue and icon: Bronze ($5), Silver ($10), and Gold ($15). If you purchase multiple teirs of the DLC, you will unlock each of the statues, and your highest quality Leaderboard icon will be shown.

We truly appreciate any support our fans can offer, as we work on our next great VR title.

Major Update Live!

Skeet: VR Target Shooting 1.0 Uploaded



  • Achievements are live! There are 11 achievements to be found.

  • Rotated gun down for a more relaxed aiming. Please let us know how this feels! This is more comfortable, but less realistic hand positioning. We think this is overall best for wrist comfort.

  • Overhauled UI. Should be clearer how to access the other game modes.

  • Spawned ammo stays in hand until released. Velocity is applied to the shells, letting you slide in or toss ammo in addition to dropping.

  • Barrel physics and interactions with shells improved.

  • Controls display preferences saved between scenes/sessions.

  • Triggers move when shooting.

  • Pump Action shell eject animated.

  • Shells eject with slightly more force.

  • Side-by-Side shotgun barrel should no longer become unaligned.

  • Quickdraw signs pull up on game start.

  • Trap Mode clay pigeons should no longer shoot at the same point
    repeatedly.

  • UFOs and Pigs come from two different directions.

  • Skeet targets and fragments no longer interact.

  • Pigs in Trap mode now move up and down as they fly.

  • Dishes consistently fly to the correct height.

  • UFO laser width decreased.

Welcome to Skeet: VR Target Shooting. We want to thank you for taking the time to check out our game, the first release from Flatbox Studios. Currently we're gearing up for release, and interested in any feedback you may have. We are honored to be a part of the first wave of VR games available to the public, and excited to see reactions to the experience room-scale VR brings. We've worked tirelessly since receiving our own Vive to create Skeet.
