Patch 1.2 Update



Major Changes

  • New Monsters

    Wandering Mummies and Werewolves guarding treasure now frequent the crypt. Beware!

  • New Loot

    Chests of crowns, Golden Skeletons, and rare Artifacts might be enough to sate your precocious nature.

  • New UI

    A new Main Menu, Settings and Game over screen, and spooky new Fonts make the game that much better to look at.

  • Music

    With a soundtrack this hardcore, you can't go wrong.

  • Automatic Turning

    No more lame turn timing, just play!

  • Lifetime Crown Count

    Now that the game keeps track of every ounce of gold you acquire, you can earn those pesky achievements much faster, and at your own pace.



Minor Changes

  • Red skeletons now deal 5 damage, down from 10.
  • Removed Simplified Chinese and Russian languages until I can find a thematic font that supports them. French, Portuguese, Spanish and English (default) languages remain available.
  • Adjusted the spawn rate and spacing of Red Skeletons, Crowns, and Coffins to increase the difficulty and fun.
  • Patch 1.2 changes have increased the disk size requirements for the game to ~2.2 GB, up from 1.2GB.
  • Added more achievements to the game, 2 more for crown collection, and 6 new achievements for Artifact collection.

It's been a long time coming, with broken hearts and good times experienced as it developed. Hopefully the game can now be enjoyed to a higher degree than before by all fellow Skeletons.

Patch 1.1 Update

It's been a long time coming, but it's here! Hats, Leaderboards, and Fixes!

Patch 1.1 Update Notes



Major Changes

  • Added a series of hats to the game. Earning achievements will now unlock hats!

    Press 1 through 0 on your keyboard to access them, after you earn them.

  • Added Leaderboards, starting with the world leader of crowns collected in a single session!

    Leaderboards are only updated with your score when you die!

  • Added a visual FPS Tracker (Press F1 to toggle)

  • Fixed the world-drop bug. You should now no longer have a small chance to fly off the map when colliding with an enemy skeleton.

  • Fixed the main no-turn scenario with 2 changes: adjusting the Kill Zone to better detect if the user missed the timing on the turn, and enlarging the Turn Zone, making the window of timing easier.

    These changes should solve the scenario of smacking into a wall and not turning, leaving the character running, but in a broken state.

    Remember to tap left or right to time the turn, right before the Knight.



Minor Changes

  • Adjusted the moonlight for a more eerie feel to the crypt
  • Adjusted the camera view for better placement. You should now see more of the oncoming track and obstacles.
  • Added a light ambient soundtrack for those who do not want to "blast tunes" while they crown hunt.
  • Added a pillar near the turns for visual flavor.
  • Increased the size of the crowns, and speed at which they rotate, for easier visual detection
  • Adjusted the downward stair actors so that they now show the top step of the stairs.
  • Adjusted blocking volume for smoother turns.
  • Slightly lowered the weight of the coffin obstacles. More fun to kick, ram etc.
  • Increased the rate at which tiles despawn by 2 seconds; this will slightly reduce the number of actors that need to be rendered.
  • Reduced the number of total spawned tiles by 1. This will reduce the number of actors that need to be rendered.
  • Slightly increased acceleration up to max speed.


These patch changes have increased the disk size requirements for the game by ~70MB.
