Patch 2.1.1 "Quality of Afterlife"-Update!
Hello Skeleton Crew!
Presenting you our biggest update until now: The Quality of Afterlife Patch, adding a ton of requested features which make the game more accessible and fun to play! Most noteworthy are the new Map you can find ingame at certain places, giving you a nice overview of the Cubold Kingdom and your current position. And If you want to play with a more laid back experience, you can enable the new relax mode.

Pumpkin set will now be available in the secret grave after all three parts have been found at least once
Visual indication of selected weapon in UI
New setting in the Options menu to let the player stand still while aiming with a lance
Keys in the random dungeon are now displayed on the map when they spawn or are left behind
Added a note in the Random Dungeon Hub for beating the submarine
Added a map to the game which can be viewed at various places
New "Relax Mode" option which will make a lot of changes to the game:
Increases invulnerability time after getting hit (3x)
Halves the time of all negative status effects
Makes all weapons deal at least 2 damage
Reduces the speed of traps
Increases Global Life Cube drop modifier from
*0.75** to
*1.5**
Adds a lot of smaller changes to all enemies (e.g. attack speed)
Reduces enemy count in the random dungeon by half
Halves most bosses' HP
Balancing/changes
When touching fire with fire resistance a small damage cooldown is applied so player will not jump around without control
Shipwreck torso will also focus enemies like Dark Skippy
Bombs now do fire damage (so Hell Knight armor reduces the damage and it will make Skippy burn)
When upgrading pumpkin items at the cook other items will be upgraded in the same animation when already done before
Increased placement cost of Fire Gargoyles in the random dungeon (So they will use up more space in the rooms, resulting in less enemies when they get placed)
Reduced enemy spawn count multiplier for Layer 4 (Magma floor) of the random dungeon from 1.5 to 1.25
Reduced enemy spawn count multiplier for Layer 5 (Submarine floor) of the random dungeon from 2.0 to 1.75
Reduced rotation speed of Fire Towers (Refractured Mode and Random Dungeon)
Enemies and traps can't spawn in the exit rooms of the submarine dungeon anymore
Traps won't spawn near submarine dungeon doors anymore
Made rotating arms of Submarine Boss slower in normal mode
Made rotating arms of Submarine Boss really slow in relax mode
Black Hellknight does attack faster in normal mode
Increased HP of the orcs in the Arena boss fight (Refractured Mode)
Increased cooldown of medusa head from 3 to 6
Scarecrow head can now extinguish fire from traps (Like the random dungeon)
Scarecrow head can now extinguish burning enemies and the fire modification for enemies in the random dungeon

Improved Random Submarine Dungeon Performance at deeper levels
Improved performance of the dungeon and Barracks in Refractured Mode

Fixes
Fixed some camera angles at the Mill so the landscape will not clip anymore
Dropping the Sewer Key into the Sewers will now return it to the player
Fixed Bats getting stuck when not landing in the floor
Fixed Player 2 Ghost remaining when deactivating second player
Fixed arena door at the orc arena boss fight so it's not destroyable by bombs anymore
Prevent automatic collection of another Item in range when hooking an item in the random dungeon
Item stands will not flash anymore when hit
Item stands in the secret grave will not explode anymore when hit by a wand
The "Stack 3 Medusas" Achievement will not be triggered by Jellyfish in the Randomized Dungeon anymore
Fixed displaying normal head for a frame when switching between weapons in the equip menu while wearing pumpkin armor
Removed unused colliders in Refractured Mode Torture Chamber
Orcs will not attack anymore while holding bombs, they throw them away first
Bomb heads will now still destroy environment, event when player will die
Removed the possibility to jump from the backyard onto the safehouse rooftop to skip a big part of the game
Improved the Farm fight at the Barracks entrance. Door is closing now behind Skippy, simple wood planks are replaced by massive chains
Keys in the random dungeon are now also displayed when in the same room as a Chest (while using a map to make them visible).
When in two player mode it is not possible anymore to fall trough the dining elevator
Sugar cane and orc club now appear in the secret grave even when not collected after finishing their respective quests. So players cannot skip them entirely
Attack pattern of Refractured Mode boss fight is now more diverse, resulting in less waiting time between phases where the player can fight with Dark Skippy
Fire effects of Ice Dragon attacks are now closer to the ground
Fixed Random Dungeon doors might not open up when enemies escaped the room
Fixed wrong camera settings when beating the game in Refractured Mode
Fixed a lot of colliders in various areas
Fixed a bug which lead to the player teleporting back to the old Save Grave when dying in Refractured Mode without clearing another Save Grave. By this it is possible to get to places normally not possible in this mode.
Health Cubes collected by Player 2 will now visually move to the right Health bar
Fixed visual glitch when Medusas and Jellyfishes are jumping
Fixed a bug causing players to be revived instantly in Co-op Mode when standing in certain places
Health cube are now easier to be collected with tentacle Feet
Fixed frozen head frame when using Medusa and Dark Skippy head effects while getting damaged
Fixed certain drops not dropping while bad luck items (Dark Skippy set) are equipped
Dragon head effect will not malfunction anymore when it is extinguished by the Scarecrow head
Remote Play Together Stream
From this weekend on, friends and family can play local co-op games together with the click of a link - no Steam account required! In celebration of this new capability the team will play the Random Dungeon together!!
Join us on some jolly cooperation this friday when Bjoern and Chris will fail miserably while running around headless in Lobsclaus' Submarine Dungeon!

Wish you a great weekend! Our weekly patch this time is about balancing and more bug fixing! We did some changes to the Torture Chamber (Mostly Refractured Mode) and the riddle with the ghosts in the sewers.

Balancing/changes
Torture Chamber: Slowed down some of the rotating spike towers in Refractured Mode
Torture Chamber: Removed some Medusas
Shockwave Damage (Gargoyles, Dark Skippy, Dark Torso, etc.) is now considered as damage coming from below, so the Ghost slippers will prevent damage from it
Ghosts in the Sewers riddle will not react to the second player anymore so the gameplay is not affected by it.
Balanced the Ghost riddle in the Sewers: Ghosts now move faster, have sounds, and are only catchable by the Bottle Head when truly cornered, to make the gameplay more reasonable for players
All magic staffs now do
*one Base Damage** (Root and Sugar staffs did 0 before)
Statue boss will not remove torso and feet with his stomp attack anymore, but will cut off Skippy's head with the horizontal chop
Decisions can only be accepted by the confirmation key and not with any input keys

Added special savestate border when in Refractured Mode
Rotating spike towers now have another layer on top of them to communicate better that jumping above them is not advised
Added clarification to the bat torso effect (Gaining health by dealing damage to enemies). Spanish translation will follow in a later patch!
Newly unlocked achievements are highlighted with a special icon in the Achievement menu
More feedback on hitting the Statue boss (sound effects, flashing and screen shake)
More sound effects for the Mini Boss Lock cutscene in Refractured Mode
Fixes
Defeated enemy remains that were on fire prior to their death will not burn forever anymore
Lances from enemy skeletons now properly despawn when they die
Fixed missing hand visuals for the batlord Torso
Fixed missing hand visuals for the Biker Torso
Made collisions of separation walls higher (Random Dungeon) so enemies will not land on them anymore
Using the trident on enemies could potentially kill their behaviour, making it unable to kill them. This could potentially make rooms in the Submarine Dungeon unbeatable and has thus been fixed
The blocky shockwave from the Dark Skippy torso now also works on enemy skeletons in Refractured Mode
Fixed Emerald UI in Random Dungeon displaying on top of menu elements in the pause menu
Fixed some visual errors in the Swamp area in Refractured Mode
Fixed shortcut door in Refractured Mode Torture Chamber not opening
Removed particle effect when returning to the Ballroom (after Dark Skippy 2 bossfight).
Fixed more collision errors
Fixed some wrongly displayed texts from Trevora in her club form
Error sound effect is now played when weapon switching is not allowed in equip menu
After dying, Skippy will now restart with the last weapon used

Just a quick hotfix for some serious issues get got:
- Removed metal bars blocking the way to Trevoras Tiara in Refractured Mode - Cubomystical bottle will not get stuck anymore when collecting an item while sucking it in at the same time - added missing colliders in the refractured swamp area

Improved overall performance on scene loading
Improved performance of Farm, Forrest and dungeon Area
Balancing
Path to the Croco Kitchen boss is now blocked by red roots. Can only be visited after obtaining the Axe now.
Increased fly swatter damage when charged from 1 to 4 so it can break tables and other obstacles
Added
Added a hay bale torso to the Painting Savegrave before the dining area in case player got swallowed by the Boss.
Added a pumpkin head to the end of the torture Chamber so players can get back safely when it was destroyed during the boss fight
Fixes
Fixed missing collision on the Farm in Refractured Mode
Player movement is stopped when triggering a cutscene while burning
Rotating books will now auto destroy after 5 seconds in case they get stuck
Lances will not dissappear anymore when thrown right before entering a teleport
Fixed the well quest on the Farm: It will now properly detect the completion of the well without leaving and reentering
Fixed wrong camera speed after the Witch cutscene in the sewers
Fixed some items becoming red after dying (Hats, mostly)
Enemies cannot move ballistas anymore when too far away from them
Displayed arrow trajectories of ballistas are now deactivated when no one is using it
Fixed long falling times in the cemetary. Player will now reset to last position instead of dying
Added missing texts to closed doors (Farm + Ballroom)
Red books will not get stuck anymore
Book soundeffects volume is now relative to player position

Increased drop rate of emeralds in the Submarine Dungeon by 50%
Increased Dead Beets HP to 3 when they can deroot from the ground
Fixes
Items possessed by ghosts cannot be collected anymore when player is quick enough. Need to use the bottle head now as intended.
Fixed Walking Dead Beets (they did not collide with static environment)
Fixed wrong camera angles at some places
Fixed visual glitch of ghosts
Ghost with the ectoplasma item on the graveyard will now respawn
Fixed flying over the Saferoom teleporter
Fixed Medusa softlocking the game when killed in the same moment as it takes over Skippys head
Fixed getting stuck at some places
Fixed Croco Boss stop working when kicked up some probs or after resetting back to the arena center
[Co-op] Some cutscene could be triggered multiple times by Ghost players
[Co-op] Wands cannot kick away other players heads anymore
[Co-op] Player 2 cannot collect the princess hair after the first Bossfight anymore.
Skellboy Refractured Release Date Announcement

Today we want to proudly reveal the release date for Skellboy Refractured! On January 13th 2021, one year after our initial release on Nintendo Switch, we'll throw you the biggest of bones:
Skellboy will come to Steam with the Refractured content already included!
The Skellboy Refractured update and PC release includes:
A new dungeon with randomly generated floors!
