0.2.3 | Patch Notes - Updates, Balances and Bug Fixes!



Sker Islanders, we have an almighty patch for you to feast your eyes on! Including hot fixes, balances and new updates. Check out the updates for patches 0.2.2 and 0.2.3:

Patch v.0.2.2 - 20/12/2022 - Hotfixes



- Fixed an issue that made the character to grow in height after using the crouch a lot, which would block players from traversing trough certain rooms or get stuck
- Fixed an instance where "The Ashes of Sker Hotel" would not go dark if you exited to the menu during a dark round and played the map again in the same session
- Fixed another issue where enemies would get stuck in other areas in "The Ashes of Sker Hotel" after the player teleports
- Fixed Scoreboard & Game Finished screen stats duplicating
- Fixed Objective Marker not appearing on Lamb during escort in "Cursed Lands of Lavernock"

Newly Added
- Isaac now appears randomly in "The Ashes of Sker Hotel"
- Added a Random Map button to the Map Selection when using "Find Game"
- Added a rare chance for Lucky to give you the Thunderbolt & Howler in all maps

New Changes
- Added a light to the Cloning Machine in the The Labyrinth to indicate that it's usable
- Changed the Cloning Machine in The Labyrinth to not teleport all lambs
- Improved Visual feedback for statues in the "Strange Places" objective

Audio Changes
- Added impact sounds when the player has been hit by melee
- Improved the hitmarker sound
- Improved footstep sounds
- Fixed an issue that caused some sounds to not play if they happened too quickly
- Fixed an issue that caused weapon audio to not play from other players when they initially connect until they equip another weapon or re-equip

Balances
- Removed Invisibility from the Miracles Pool (Note: A New Miracle will replace it)
- Enemy count per Round now caps out at Round 30
- Enemy Health scaling now caps out at Round 66
- Lowered health scale between Round 37 and 66 by 10%
- Killerwatt spawn count during the dark rounds are reduced by 50%
- Stalker enemies now reposition themselves closer to the player if they have gotten too far from them
- Reaper enemy now follows the player trough other areas of "The Ashes of Sker Hotel"
- Reaper movement speed increased by 100%
- Reaper base health increased to 5000, up from 4000
- Lowered Magazine Capacity on higher tier weapons by 75%
- Knife kills now count as critical kills
- Improved Visual for Lighting Strike during the Isaac boss fight
- Improved Visual on Killerwatts Lightning bolt attack and impact
- Abraham now spawns closer to the player in "The Cursed Lands of Lavernock"

- Howler
- Increased Damage to 667, up from 243
- Fixed an issue causing the cartridge to be invisible during reloads

- MP18A
- Increased Max Damage to 59, up from 45
- Increased Min Damage to 39, up from 23

- Sie Rogotti
- Increased Max Damage to 137, up from 72
- Increased Min Damage to 102, up from 68

- RS10
- Decreased Max Damage to 129, down from 159

Bug and Performance Fixes
- Fixed a massive performance drop when an enemy would spawn very far away from the player
- Fixed extra bugs causing enemies to be stuck
- Fixed an extra Trial not having a chance to turn on
- Fixed slight performance issue caused by logs
- Fixed issue causing the Revive machine to not work properly online
- Improved camera movement input to not be framerate dependant

Sker Ritual Episode Three - FIRST LOOK

Happy New Year Sker Islanders!

We thought we would chase away your January Blues with an exclusive first look at Episode Three - Sewers of the Dead! We're already halfway through the month so we've snatched a screenshot of the brand new map from our hard-working devs for you to enjoy.



What new challenges will await you in Sewers of the Dead? There'll be a host of new elites and bosses, new story missions and trials, new free rewards with the Sker Pass, and MORE!

Sewers of the Dead will be coming this February!

0.2.2 | Patch Notes - New & Improved Sker Pass!



Thank you for all the love, support and feedback for Sker Ritual's Episode Two: The Ashes of Sker Hotel. Before our hard-working devs pack up for the holidays, we wanted to give you our last patch update for 2022 that is coming soon...including our new and improved Sker Pass! Find out all the details below.

New!


- Added a second Sker Pass for "The Ashes of Sker Hotel" with 25 Levels & 26 Rewards
- Added an extra ability to the Isaac fight
- You can now pick which Sker Pass you earn experience points towards, if your active Pass has reached Max Level, the earned experience will go to the next highest level Pass
- You can now use your voice line when you're dead and other players can hear it
- You will no longer hear footsteps when you or other players are Ghosts
- Added an Objective Marker leading to Abraham when you're asked to defeat him



Bug Fixes and Changes


- Changed the task in "Into The Void" to require the player to be in the spotlight while killing enemies instead of the enemies
- Bosses are now unaffected by abilities that slow down their movement speed
- Changed the "Shock n Load" perk to trigger the effect when a reload has finished instead of started
- Fixed broken navigation in "The Void" area in "The Ashes of Sker Hotel"
- Fixed several instances of enemies getting stuck in other areas in "The Ashes of Sker Hotel" when using the teleporter
- Fixed Rat Parts not disappearing for other players online if a player has picked one up
- Fixed an issue where going down to the furnace without picking up the cannister for the first objective would break the objective
- Fixed an issue where interaction the Teleport Navigation System was enabled earlier than expected and broke the objective if used earlier
- Removed Inactivity throwing you back to the menu when playing in Solo (you will still go into Offline mode)
- Changed the smoke wall color infront of Abraham to be White so it doesn't get confused with green walls for enemy spawn points
- Fixed a bug that caused a crash when using Invincibility ontop of a Heated Platform during the "Abraham" boss fight
- Fixed a bug causing enemies to disappear when trying to reach the nearest player
- Fixed an issue causing Ambient Audio to be missing in certain areas
- Fixed a line break in the Objective UI for languages where "Progress" is a slightly longer word
- Fixed a bug allowing you to upgrade your Lantern on "The Laughing Policeman's Super Charger"

Welcome back Sker Islanders to The Ashes of Sker Hotel, we hope you, and your squad, enjoy your stay.

In this brand new episode, we return to the ruins of Sker Hotel with a new threat emerging from the shadows. Defeat new creations and survive the hellish domain of a sadistic tyrant who threatens your cause.

EXPLORE THE BRAND NEW MAP





What challenges and terrors await you in a dilapidated Sker Hotel? Players will re-explore the Main Floor and the Basement and discover the secret path to other familiar and new locations around the hotel. Survive the onslaught of the Quiet Ones in this tight and tricky-to-navigate environment. Good luck.

FACE CHALLENGING NEW ENEMIES





KILLERWATTS
Beware these charged up Quiet Ones and their electrifying powers! Stay alert players as you may find that every few rounds the Killerwatts kill the lights, forcing you to battle against them in the dark!



HUSKS
Don't be fooled by Husk's ordinary Quiet One appearance, you'll need to be careful where you shoot or you (and your teammates) will be faced with an even more dangerous threat. Friendly collateral activated.

MYSTERIOUS OBJECTIVES





Think this is just a wave shooter? Think again. Sker Hotel is littered with objectives for you and your teammates. Discover hidden areas with unique challenges to complete the main quest and uncover the final boss fight with Isaac.

SHOOTING SOUND





HOWLER
Search for and arm yourselves with the Howler, the latest steampunk special weapon that you'll want to battle against the two new terrifying elites lurking around every gloomy corner. This is no ordinary weapon, the Howler shoots sound waves that inflict enemy damage and rebounds off of any environmental surfaces for extra collateral damage!

BEAT THE NEW BOSS



Defeat the sadistic tyrant Issac and his deadly purple gas. At first glance, Issac Williams may seem a slow and easy target but this boss has some tricks up his sleeve.

LEVEL MODIFIER





If this map is still not challenging enough...then a reminder Sker Islanders that the Ashes of Sker Hotel will also have a level modifier for you to increase the difficulty. There are two levels of difficulty for you to master, that only the bravest and boldest will survive. WARNING: In this mode some standard enemies have been gifted the powers of the Banshee and Blazeslinger...unfortunately, you won't know which ones to watch out for.

NEW FIXES AND UPDATES


- Added an objective pickup noise to all objective related items
- Changed the graphics for Trial Objective Notifications & Markers
- Fixed an issue that caused the Scoreboard & Game Over screen to display the player name as "Username"
- Fixed an issue causing completing a Trial succesfully not rewarding any points
- Lowered the brightness of the lightning projectile used for "Thunderbolt"

0.1.9 | Patch Notes + Episode Two Date Announcement!



Another week and another patch from our dev team who are definitely looking to spoil you.

New!


- In Higher difficulties, standard enemies have a chance of having more abilities
- The Elite Maker Trial now spawns a new enemy that will one shot you if it reaches you
- Lucky now only appears in one spot in the map, and after a few uses, he moves to another spot around the map
- Molotov damage now scales with it's assigned miracle rank instead of base enemy health percentage
- Added Combat Music that scales with the amount of enemies around you
- Changed how penetration works so we can now specify how many solid objects and units it can penetrate separately
- Adjusted visuals of several weapons, including their upgraded versions
- Added "Escape" as a button to disable Hiding the UI when using the "ALT+Z" Key Combo to hide the UI
- Added a respawn if the player ends up falling for more than 30 seconds
- Reduced the time between rounds to 5 seconds in Expect difficulty
- NPC Footsteps volume increased

Bug Fixes


- Fixed a bug causing only the host to see the Time Remaining between rounds
