Skjoldur Story is Now Available!
Skjoldur Story is officially released!
Grab your shield and start putting it to use! Block attacks to steal them for yourself, use those abilities to navigate past enemies and obstacles, and unlock dungeons to defeat the bosses inside.
Pay attention and keep an eye out for not-so-obvious paths and secret areas, as the way is not always straightforward. If you come across an animal friend, they can probably help you out!
Good luck with your exploring and don't be fooled, this adventure will be more challenging than it looks!
Skjoldur Story is Launching April 30th, 2021!
HANOVER PARK, Ill., – 8th April, 2021 – One man developer Snoozing Pixel today announced that the indie adventure game Skjoldur Story will launch on Steam for PC on April 30th, 2021.
Skjoldur Story is a whimsical top-down adventure set in a colorful pixel art landscape where your only tool is a shield. With this shield, or Skjoldur, you block and steal enemy attacks in order to progress past the world’s puzzles, enemies, and dungeons.
The game shows off charming cute looks but players should be ready for a difficult challenge. While the lighthearted music and pastoral landscape certainly emphasize exploring at your own pace, as dungeons can be unlocked in any order, Skjoldur Story is littered with unique obstacles and puzzles that provide little hand holding.
“Older titles like Legend of Zelda, Kirby’s Adventure, and Super Mario Bros. were incredibly special to me during my childhood,” said Adam Ampulski, sole member of Snoozing Pixel. “They were fun and distinctively tough, and therefore very rewarding. I just wanted to make a game that childhood-me would love.”
