Hello Champions, we are back with a bug fix patch to iron out a few issues that we have received with your reports.

The patch will be applied at 10:00 AM EDT / 04:00 PM CEST and a short downtime for the patch is expected. The game will be unavailable in the meantime.

Please restart Steam and update the game after 10:00 AM EDT / 04:00 PM CEST to receive the update.

These are not all bugs and we continue fixing them. It's one of many steps and in the upcoming weeks and months we'll follow up with many more patches for you!

  • Adjustments were made on the ESC Menu to fix the issue that resulted in the back button not working after a match ended or the player abandoned it.
  • Fixed bug that made the feedback of experience earned not appear on the Match Statistics.
  • Fixed bug that caused the account creation window to not close after the player creates his account.
  • Fixed issue with the Champion Frames during matches that were wrongly oriented.
  • Fixed bug that caused Battle Pass Item Description to be stuck on the screen.
  • Fixed issue that made the "Final Boss comes in X waves" to be overlapped by Erebus life bar.
  • Fixed issue that caused the Champion portraits to appear for the spectators on Custom Matches.
  • Fixed issue that made the back button to be misaligned in some areas.

Dear Champions of Skydome,

This is our first Open Letter since the launch of the Early Access and we want to thank you for all your feedback, suggestions, and ideas!

Your valuable feedback has and will help improve the overall direction of Skydome. We wish to address some of the issues experienced so far, along with what we are doing to help you, our champions!

We have been working diligently and evaluating your feedback about issues that you find important. Some of the major issues include long queue times and the ability to acquire Champions through playing (earning Gold).

The Skydome team has decided to help alleviate this situation by increasing the Gold gain over the weekend! That's right, get increased Gold from playing matches in Skydome during the August 21st weekend!

In order to improve the matchmaking experience for all players we have decided to disable ranked queues for the time being. Although we are excited to offer a ranked mode for Skydome, we have been evaluating that game mode's effect on queues in such an early stage of Skydome. Ranked mode is only planned to be temporarily disabled for now to help players focus on either quick or training matches to play together.

A feature for bots to fill teams is also being worked on and we really appreciate the feedback. This will especially help with training matches if there happens to not be 4 players in queue at certain times. We hear you and are making changes as we go. That is the beauty of Early Access.

Early Access Approaches!




Sagharo, Egon, Ellie, and all your favorite champions are getting ready for the next step for Skydome. With this new era of Early Access, you will be able to flex your Founders Banners, Icons, and even Skins! Become the talk of the Skydome lobby with all of that incredible Founders gear!

While Early Access approaches for everyone, Founders Access is slowly coming to a halt! This will also mean that you can invite your friends without them needing any sort of beta key or access code! With our Early Access release, you can catch all your friends up on the new Erebus Invasion we are all excited to experience!

What does Early Access mean? Well, we're still in development with new features, characters, and changes being added! Some bugs or errors may get by, but we're doing our best to squash them all!

The Erebus Invasion - Patch v0.21

Intro


Champions! It's time to show you how much the Skydome had changed!

Erebus the Shadowbringer and his Shadowlings are invading the Skydome arenas, join your team and defeat them to get the chance to send them to the enemy arena.
Starting 3 minutes into the match, portals will appear in the jungle and Shadowlings will begin to invade the arena, defeat them and use their tokens to invade the enemy arena and hinder your opponents. By defeating Shadowlings you decrease the maximum life of Erebus when he spawns. 15 minutes into the match Erebus invades the battlefield with his Shadowlings, corrupting the entire Greek jungle area with its shadows. The maximum life of Erebus is based on the amount of Shadowlings defeated until its appearance.

This along with so much more comes with this patch!

Ranked is here offering a new competitive edge and rewards for each season of Skydome!

Details
Ranks are divided into Five tiers, each tier has three divisions inside it.​ The tiers are in the order of: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond. This is based on MMR (Matchmaking Rank) that separates divisions and tiers.

You must complete 10 placement matches to get your placement rank. Players that are 3 divisions in either direction cannot play together, so a Bronze cannot play with their Platinum or Diamond friends.

Lastly for Ranked Matches there is a leaderboard on your in-game profile that allows you to see the top 20 people of the season along with your rank.

Erebus, the Shadowbringer



Intro
Erebus brings the shadows to the Temple of Dawn, during his arrival the entire Greek jungle area is full of shadows, cross the shadows and reach Erebus and defeat him before the enemy team to control his power. Its encounter Token allows you to take control of Erebus in the enemy arena, being able to attack and fight against enemy champions. Erebus is not targeted nor can it target towers and walls.

Abilities

Void Shackles: Extends shadow tentacles in several directions. Affected champions take damage and are imprisoned for a few seconds.

Blackout: Silences all nearby champions, making it impossible for them to use skills.

Umbral Spear: Throws a dark spear in a straight line, when hitting the first enemy the spear pushes it back and deals damage.

Spawn Darkness [Q]: Makes multiple Shadows appear around you, hunting down enemy champions.

Intro
The Shadowlings are minions of Erebus generated from their shadows that prepare the ground for their master's invasion, when defeating a Shadowling the player can use his token to invade the enemy arena and hinder the enemy team. Shadowlings are not attacked by towers nor can they attack them.

Stalk: Jumps in a straight line, stopping at the first enemy hit and dealing damage.

Possession [E]: Jumps in one direction, if you hit an enemy champion takes control of him for a short period of time, during possession you cannot attack or use the possessed champion's skills.

Titan Warden



  • The preview for the ability is now updated and will show the correct range for it.
  • The camp received updates on the colliders to resolve a problem with players being stuck onto the walls after being hit by Core Burst at the Convergence Layout.
  • A problem that caused the Titan to reset with players inside the camp is now fixed!


Troops



Tunnelier


The issue with the tunnels is now fixed! All troops able to will use and consider the Tunnels on their pathing.

Guardians


Fixed a Bug where both Statue Guardians (Mid Bosses) would not play animations properly.

Aspects


The issue that caused the Final Bosses to enter the tunnels when pushed into their direction is now fixed! With this resolved now the Bosses won't be capable of using the tunnels.

Wizard


Fixed issue on Wizard troop so now he won't stay still when he spawns.

Waves


The issue that caused the side where the Final Boss spawned to not be displayed on the Wave Preview Window is now fixed! Both sides should be displaying correctly at the 21st Wave.

  • Fixed a reconnect issue that made impossible to reconnect on a match if the player is playing as Egon.
  • Fixed issue that caused the 0% to appear beside the banners on the loading screen when reconnecting.

Fixed issue that displayed the previous matches as teammates on a Match's Info.

In-Game Feedback


The in game feedbacks for Hit Damage and the Construction Mode are now fixed! Players will be seeing the correct feedbacks.

Fixed issue that changed the languages displayed on the options menu.

Localization


Some alerts for groups at the Game Modes window are now translated correctly for players.

Loading



  • Now the loading bar represents the percentage of all players.
  • Reaching 100% means that all players have loaded everything and are entering the match.


Known Issues



Tutorial



  • When starting the Tutorial from part 2 it will be missing the prebuilt structures, this does not apply if you start the tutorial over from scratch.
  • The tutorial progress stops after defeating the Titan in phase 3. This occurs rarely, the solution to this is restarting the match.
  • Tutorial progress will stop after defeating the 3 minion waves in phase 2. This only occurs if you stay inactive for 3+ minutes.


Egon Ability Lock


Extremely rarely there will be an issue with Egon that will lock abilities and attacks.

Victory Poses


The game may lock the person(s) on the victory pose screen. The current resolution to this issue is to restart your game.

Invisible Players


Other teammates or enemies may appear invisible to the person(s) effected. This is a rare occurrence.

In-game prices using incorrect symbol


Purchasing currency in game currently displays $ instead of €. Redirection from our game to our website will use the correct currency sign.

Wave progression bar on reconnect


The bar may be stuck visibly on "preparing" when reconnecting matches. This resolves itself after the ongoing phase changes.

Match Reconnection nearing the end of the match


On loading a match there is a chance that reconnecting to a late match will cause your game to lockup. The current resolution to this issue is to restart your game.

Friend Requests


If both players send a friend request at the same time the friend request will remain visible after accepting.

Founder's Access has started

Skydome Founders Access starts August 11!



We take pleasure in informing everyone that August 11 will mark the beginning of Skydome Founders Early Access! Excited? We are too! Anyone who played during our closed beta may recognize many of the new changes coming with this Early Access. From August 18 and onwards, Skydome will be in our Early Access stage until release. If you or your friends didn't get the founders pack, anyone at this time can join in on some amazing gameplay during the full Early Access period. Many games await as you can compete in the new ranking system, start up a few custom matches to see who will main who, and check out the first week of Champion rotations! Product Team Letter

Dear Community,

We are very excited for the next major update to Skydome, but let us talk about the current issues we are facing. First off, we want to take a chance to thank all of you for supporting Skydome!

As we are preparing for Early Access, we have experienced several technical issues that have delayed our expected release date. Whenever we believe that we are close to being able to release, another unforeseen issue shows up that requires the assistance of our entire team to help solve it.

An unfortunate side effect of all this is constantly having to move the Early Access launch. Please trust us, we would have loved to see Skydome out there already. Our highest priority is to get Skydome out as fast as possible, however, we will not release a game that has these critical problems we know about and let you, as a community, run into such difficult issues. This is not the level of quality we want to deliver nor the quality you deserve.

Additionally, there is a rumor that we are delaying the launch to stay in the “coming soon” section of Steam. While we understand where this idea is coming from, this is not the publicity that is healthy for any game, including Skydome. This is clearly not an intended behavior by us but just caused by the attempts to have the game out as early as possible.

This all being said, if it has not been heard, the Founders Early Access and Early Access of Skydome have been postponed until Summer 2021. We will keep you all updated and improve upon communications between ourselves at gamigo and you, the players, in the future. Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you back in Skydome to try the new character, invasion system, and many more updates ahead!

Emoticon Contest

Hello Champions,

Welcome to our Skydome Emoticon Contest! We are excited to host a contest for our community so you can express your creativity with Skydome. We are grateful our community houses many creative minds who work diligently and willingly on various things related to the game.

Now is your chance to immortalize yourself in the Skydome Discord and Steam by submitting a Skydome-related chat emote in this contest.



Task:




  1. Create one (1) emote related to Skydome.
  2. Post your emote creation on at least one Social Media channel as follows:


Twitter or Instagram: Post it under the hashtag #SkydomeContest & #MOBA

Steam, Reddit, Facebook: Post (a link to) the preview in the comment section below.

Discord: Post (a link to) the preview in the dedicated Discord Channel.



Duration:



The event will run from July 17, 2021 - August 1, 2021, and the winners will be announced on August 6, 2021.



Requirements:




  • The image must be static. Animated emoticons won't be considered for this contest.
  • The ratio of the emotes must be 1:1.
  • The minimum dimension of 512px*512px must not be undercut.
  • The file must later be sent in the
  • .psd,
  • .ai,
  • .eps, or
  • .xcf format.



Rewards:



First Place: 3500 Diamonds

Second Place: 2500 Diamonds

Third Place: 1500 Diamonds

All participants that post a decent self-created Skydome emote on the above-mentioned channels are eligible to receive 4 common chests as reward.

The Skydome Team, Volunteers, and Developers will evaluate all entries and determine what emote(s) may get added to the Discord and Steam channels.

  • Only one (1) emoticon per participant is allowed. If you send multiple emoticons, we’ll consider the last entry.
  • The winners must send the file to a specified email after the event ends.
  • The original link must be given if the emote is stored on an external platform (Imgur, Deviantart, or other).
  • Plagiarism or stealing other's work is prohibited.
  • No NSFW submissions are allowed.
  • As we plan to utilize the winner’s emoticons for Steam and Discord, their respective ToS apply to this contest.
  • The winner will be voted by the Skydome Team, Volunteers, and Developers.
