Skytropolis

Update 1.1 Maintenance System and New Modules

We're excited to announce the first major update for Skytropolis!

Maintenance System
The biggest change in this update is the addition of the maintenance system. This system adds the concept of wear and tear of modules that require repairs. Modules that generate revenue, such as apartments, offices, restaurants will now wear out over time. If a module's condition drops below 50% it will turn brown and it's revenue will start to decrease. If it drops to 0% the module will be abandoned and no longer generate revenue.

Modules can be easily repaired by selecting the module and pressing the Repair button on it's stats card.

In addition to repairing individual modules, you can now build 2 new modules to help you manage repairs.

Maintenance Office

This is a small module that will perform repairs on all modules on the same floor with one click.

Maintenance Center

This larger module is a command center for Maintenance Offices throughout your Skytropolis and allows you to trigger repairs for all modules on floors with Maintenance Offices. This means you can repair everything with one click.

Grocery Store

In addition to the maintenance system, we also added a Grocery Store module that provides a small amount of food, health and employment.

New Music & Soundtrack
The game now features all new music, 5 more tracks and you can even get the full soundtrack on Spotify and iTunes as well as at: https://adriantalens.bandcamp.com/album/skytropolis-original-soundtrack

Update 1.03

We've released a small update with some bug fixes and have added a vertical movement control for desktop players. This new control allows you to move to any floor on your tower and shows you what floor number you're at.

- New vertical movement UI in desktop
- Fixed 2 hotel challenge bug
- Fixed selecting and reclaiming of modules on hidden floors in desktop
- Added challenge progress counter in desktop challenges
- Fix to museum and performance space placement

Thanks for all the feedback and support, please help us spread the word about the game and share it with your social networks :)

Update 1.02

We've just launched the 1.02 update which is mostly to address bugs and economy balance. Here's the major changes:

- Reduced loan interest rate to something more manageable and included the loan interest into the total revenue so that the revenue is accurate.
- In desktop you can now hide floors and keep them hidden while moving up and down (before it would rest to show you all floors if you moved up/down)
- Adjusted the costs and revenues of some modules and the difficulty level service usage (on hard it was very high before)
- Bug fixes, including a VR rotation issue of modules that occurred if you pressed the Steam button during the game
- Some improved text notifications.
- Game goal is now shown in desktop if you complete the goal before the deadline expires.

Thanks for everyone's feedback and help in reporting bugs.

Update 1.01

Thank you to everyone who has provided feedback on Skytropolis and reported issues since our launch.

We have just released an update to address a few bugs and improve game balance.

- Challenges display is fixed (challenges properly go away when completed)
- Settings text in VR is fixed
- You can click on challenge notifications in desktop to view challenges

Thanks again for all the feedback, it's very helpful to our small development team!
