Slam Fighter II Launching on Steam
Oh snap!
Slam Fighter II is finally coming to steam on November 17th and at version 2.0.0 it's the best slam fighting experience yet! All my love to the Slam Fighter community, who has cherished this game since it was first released in Japan as Sulamu Faitaa 2 for the Hyper Famstation in 1992 and to those who have supported the development of the localization since 2015. To everyone laying down smack for the first time in 2017, please enjoy one of the finest Slam Fighting experience modern technology can offer!
FAQ
Q: Where is Slam Fighter 1?
A: It hasn't been localized yet.
Q: How is v.2.0.0 different from v.1.5.3?
A: The game has been completely remade from the ground up with a new battle engine and new mechanics. Beat detection actually works this time!
Q: I have epilepsy and this game seems to have a lot of flashing backgrounds. Will I be able to play?
A: Yep, you can disable the moving backgrounds from the Accessibility menu in Options.
Q: This game runs sluggishly on my computer, is there any way to make it run better?
A: Try the calibration wizard to configure your input latency or go to Audio Options to set input latency manually. Disabling the moving backgrounds (via Accessibility menu) will also improve performance.
Q: Is there any content in this game that might be inappropriate for some players?
A: This game does not depict drugs, sex, or violence, but it does have swear words, both written and spoken aloud. The game is intended to be lighthearted, but since its core concept involves saying mean things, there is some content containing ableism, sexism, slut shaming, body negativity, and remarks that are racially charged. The developers do not endorse the opinions expressed by the characters in-game.
Q: This game didn't come out in 1992 and there's no such thing as a Hyper Famstation. You made this game yourself, didn't you?
A: aaaaaa you got me there
