Release of SOD2 + My Birthday = Good mood !!!

Hi everyone!
I'm a young, but soon 30-year-old indie developer.

On the agenda, I have two grand events:
1. Release of the new game (Slash or Die 2)
2. My birthday
In this regard ... I would like to talk about my work and thank everyone.
Since we are all friends here, I do not want to write a story officially!

Let's go!
The way to indie-dev originates from the game Slash or Die.
I had high hopes for this game. I left a good position of a manager, work for 14-16 hours a day"looking only at the monitor screen".
And you know what? It was the best thing I did in my life.
I just did it.

I have tried many creative professions: I wrote music, poetry, learned to draw, rapped, opened the YouTube channel.
But nothing had last more than half a year.

And here, I feel that finally I can sit for 15 hours at the computer and at the same time say that I'm working))))))
Although it is killing the health totally. So DO NOT REPEAT - Fatal...

And here after two years from the moment of the beginning of my way.
Such projects have seen the light as:

SOD - No comments

EvilMorph - A game in the same universe with SOD, but we play for not quite a good hero, but simply help a less bad one to return his throne.

TailWind - The game that appeared thanks to my wife. She told me: "How log can you do hardcore only, do something nice for once ...", and I made a story about a very coward prince who went on a trip on a ship to gain courage and find his love.

And of course SOD2 - No comments, but I will say so "I left all the best from the first part, and revised and improved everything that was not best".

The task of almost any game is to get from point A to point B.
The question arises: "How will the player do so and which mechanics will he use?"
So, as I have an engineering mentality, I try to put new gameplay chips into each new game. This is exactly what I'm working on first.
Many people will say that this is wrong. This is their opinion!)
The ideal game is when aesthetics, mechanics, technology and history give a whole picture.
In large projects the whole team is working on it - Writers, artists, etc.
And when you start alone - do what you can do best!

If you put your heart in the project and believe in it, you can "put others on fire".
During 2 years of work I built up a team.
I'd like to thank following guys:

New Game "Tailwind"

Version 1.09

Good whatever time of day!
In this update I took a dark side again.
So that following features were added:


Added:
1. New enemy. Zombie-bomb
This character’s objective is to make you plan your impact path even more accurately.

Watch out!!! It is explosive…


2. New enemy: Elemental
This enemy is intended to make you plan your impact path even more accurately and to limit your movement.
As if a splinter of wizard yelds fruits…

3. New enemy: Assasin
This enemy’s objective is to make you die more often…

4. New enemy: Golem
This enemy’s objective is to show that there is an armor that is harder than your weapon.

5. Added a full-featured 4th level

Fixed:
1. Ghosts and Shield bearers now have a 30% chance to block attack (instead of 50%)
2. Slowed down animation of Lych attack
3. Rebuilt an engine of displaying enemy health (now it is more pretty to look at)

4. Fixed text errors.
5. Fixed graphic errors and program bugs.


And the main thing is:
In this large update rebalance was performed.

Now players who have completed the game can try to do it once again.

To fully reset progress press N on a language select screen.

Dear friends!
I would like to thank all those people who helped to find bugs in the game. I appreciate it.

New features and changes:

● Rewritten the engine of heroes attack: now he attacks everyone, are caught in his fire line and even if the enemy is close to the hero.
● Now after death quickly restart the game, or be resurrected, or come back to the list of characters.
● After the resurrection your endurance has a maximum value.


Fixes:

● In some cases, the purchase of abilities occurred at a lower amount than specified.
● 'Exhausted' is not displayed while playing a mage character.
● Maximum level of characters was not displayed properly.
● Errors in translation.
● Description of abilities.
● Background field picture at the final boss.
● Protection display of the magician hero.
● After death is nothing extra on the playing field.
● No achievements for passing the game. I apologise to all who passed the game, but you can get cheat codes for these achievements. Just send a message to me, I'll send you the instructions to get these achievements.

Added the new mode 'Survival':

● At the moment the mode is open immediately.
● The new hero is Samurai.
● His main attack: on attack a shockwave appears that deals damage to enemies.
● And he gets three skill:
● Shuriken: Attacking the enemy, there is a probability of 10% to throw 4 shuriken in different directions.
● Quick punch: 1% chance that the hero will kill the enemy when you are close to him.
● Duel: 50% chance to emerge victorious while the hero simultaneously hitting the enemy.
● Hero and enemies have 1 health.
● Hero has infinite stamina.
● You will meet all enemies from the storyline.
● In this game mode you can compete with other players and just to blow off steam if you are tired of the game story.
And added the leaderboard, showing 10 top players and displaying your personal statistics.

Dear friends. In this update I took a dark side.



I was afraid that after you become masters in slaying archers wizards will be felt just similar but with different appearance.
That is why update will bring you:

Gameplay:
1. Attack of wizard is not blocked by hero attack (it was already done, I just want to outline it)
2. Wizards now have first hit defense. No matter what damage you make first attack will only break their defense.

3. New type of wizard:
- Appears on level 2-2 and higher
- Does not attack hero
- Changes ground into quicksand – when stepping on quicksand hero loses speed to a level lower than 1.

4. two archers were added to a party of second boss. Fixed performance of his second half. Now it will be much more difficult for you to defeat him.)

Graphic and effects:
Disabled appearance of two dialogue windows on pressing ESC after death.
Now character choice is made not only by clicking on his picture, but on the whole box.
Fixed unnoticeable but critical bugs that made me mad (as a developer).


Some information about next update "Survival":
1. Access to game mode is granted after killing second boss
2. You have one life
3. You have unlimited staina
4. New hero with his own attack style
5. Steam leader board
