SLEEPOVER: Slasher's Home is nearing the end of it's Early Access stage on Steam, and quickly approaching the dawn of 1.0
Below is some of the recent major changes made to the game, providing some idea of what's to come.
Now in Third Person
Homeowner now has Flashlight
Slasher speed increased
Slasher can Sprint now, though with Stamina drain
Homeowner can find and equip single-use weapons around the house (knifes get stuck in Slasher for example)
Slasher AI added for Singleplayer (players can seamlessly join and take control of AI Slashers)
Player queue and spectator system added so more than 2 players can be in one lobby, and the winner plays the Homeowner
Main Menu now features Feedback/Help button that links to bug report form
More to come in the future. If you would like to check out livestream development of the game visit the Twitch channel for JarthGames.
Yours truly, JarthGames
AI / Bots Added
AI / Bots have been added to SLEEPOVER. The game mode now works with one player and functions as a good warmup / tutorial of the environment and game mechanics before another player joins. Other players can join at any time and take control of the AI / Bot.
At the moment Hearing is not implemented for the AI but will be very soon. This is just a basic test of allowing the game mode to work with one player to help grow the community.
As always please let me know if you have any ideas or feedback etc. If you have a specific bug you would like to see fixed you can mention it in the discussions and I will try to fix it in the following update.
Server Browser / Friends List
Players should now be able to find multiplayer sessions hosted by friends on Steam. Until now the Server Browser would only show multiplayer sessions from users with the same Steam Download Region settings as you, this may still be the case but solving this issue is the current focus of the project. Please continue to report any bugs or issues you encounter and I will do my best to address them.
