I Hate You, Please Suffer - Basic; out April 27/28
Shortly after Slimes was uploaded on Steam, I started working on a new game called I Hate You, Please Suffer, which is now going to be available on Steam with its Basic version!
I Hate You, Please Suffer is essentially a game in a world of sidequests, with a freshly minted adventurer heading out into the world to pay rent. It's a more standard RPG experience than Slimes, though I've played around with some conventions to screw with people.
I Hate You, Please Suffer is still in development. I originally considered making this an Early Access game, but I do not have the time or power to fully dedicate myself to development the same wat a standard Early Access developer would. So, I've split up the Steam releases into Basic and Complete. Basic is a free version of the game carrying about 3/5ths of what I envisioned for the game while Complete will be a commercial game.
I think I finally figured out how to update this game without things exploding, please hit me up if something exploded. The changes in the update include:
Increased hit rate for revolver and shotgun; you'll still need to lean on Take Aim to deal with high evasion enemies, though.
Vastly increased hit rate for the endgame buff skills to make using them more worth it.
Lowered health of the second boss enemies a bit to make it more manageable.
Edited some text
Added two new secret achievements
Also I finally got to set a sale for this, so it's going to be 20% off for the upcoming weeklong sale. I mean, you probably already have it if you're reading this, but it'd be nice to let people you know about it.
Releasing on 6/12 + Price Change!
Okay folks, I've decided that the Steam version of Slimes will release on the 12th of this month. So, here are my reasons why:
I figured that it'd be best to release this before the Steam Sale, because it'd absolutely get lost
I also figured that releasing it after Steam Sale season is bad because a lot of people would have already spent money and/or wouldn't have the desire to pick up more games right away, so a Steam release would have to be way later on.
Due to real life circumstances presenting money problems, I think it's better to have this out sooner rather than later.
On top of this, the Steam version will have its price changed to $6.99. The reasons:
My friends told me to love myself more and place more value on my work.
This is also to account for Valve's own cut from sales.
It has 69 in it.
So yeah, there's that. Hopefully things will go fine? Well, until then I can try figuring out how marketing works.
Oh yeah and also, Black Lives Matter and take this off your wishlist if you don't agree. I'd rather fail than have an audience of scumbags.
