Updated HOLO-MAP!

Download the latest update for the game to get a more comprehensible and friendly updated HOLO-MAP. The primary giant trees, forest floor, main player icon, path to take in order, and final goal, are all outlined more prominently with better graphics. There is also a map-legend section so that you can refer to what an item in the map is. Hope it helps with a better gaming experience to help you get around the forest to your destination.

For more details regarding the HOLO-MAP (but with old graphics) refer to previous posts and the video "Get the First Body Armor". Although the graphics are old, the functionality of the map remains the same.

Get the First Body-Armor Gameplay/Tutorial Video

Watch the "Get the First Body-Armor" tutorial in the Video section to see how to fight the lake dwelling beast and acquire the first body-armor in the game. It also shows the next path in the map of where the ramps to the upper levels are from "Ground Zero".

NOTE: You will need ALL the body-armors in order to properly use the more powerful weapons in the upper levels & increase your health. Without armor, the blast from these weapons can kill you.

This video starts off from where "First 5 Minutes" left off.

Forest Layout / HOLO-MAP Explained

(Click on image to view a larger picture)

You will need the HOLO-MAP mostly to navigate the forest ground only. The Ramp-Ways are a one-way direction.

Your current location is designated by a blinking yellow arrow. Your goal is designated by a green non-blinking arrow.

You are stuck in basically what is a forest valley filled with swaps.

There are 5 giant trees that stand out in the forest.
Use the N, S, E, W compass signs in the HOLO-MAP to find them:
1 in North-East corner (N E).
1 in North-West corner (N W).
1 in South-East corner (S E).
1 in South-West corner (S W).
1 in the center.

You start at the giant tree in (S W) corner of the forest.

The LABs are habitable modules where you can replenish your health and ammo, get info about your next objectives / story plot, and save your game. There is a LAB on each level on one of those giant trees. You need to reach the LAB on the giant tree in the center of the forest.

The Ramp-Ways are a path-way to navigate around the giant trees. The giant tree at the North-East corner of the forest is the only tree that has access to get UP to the Ramp-Ways.

Game Tips # 4 - Get the Body Armor

I'll be making a guide as the number of tips and strategies is growing. Till then, here's one more tip:

NOTE: You have to collect ALL the body-armors available in order to be able to use the powerful weapons in the upper level. Or else the impact from their blast will kill you. Plus you get increased health. You WILL need the health in the upper levels.
Little-Blue (Rocket Launcher) - Armor Level 1
Dragon Head (Fireball Launcher) - Armor Level 2
All other weapons (except rifle) - Armor Level 3

After you get the rocket-launcher (as shown in the video - "First 5 Minutes"), go to this location shown in the HOLO-MAP (Press "M" to turn ON/OFF map).

You might need to go around a lake or two to avoid fighting those large lake-dwelling beasts to get here.

(Click on the images for a bigger picture)

Here you will need to retrieve a body-armor (increases your health level & prevents close range damage from your own powerful weapons). Follow the red-light HOLO-SIG trail to get to the lake.

Since you have the rocket-launcher, look for the ammo-dispenser at the far end of the lake. It keeps giving ammo for the launcher. This time you can kill the beast in the lake, and then get the armor.

Remember, don't fire the rocket-launcher at close range without the armor! The blast will kill you.

Once you are done, head over to the giant tree on the North-East corner of the forest to find your way UP to the next level. Check the compass markings in the HOLO-MAP to locate the tree (tree at corner N, E).

Fist 5 Minutes of Gameplay

Check out the videos section for the first 5 minutes of game play. It may help you understand how to get around the forest ground.

If anyone needs any other video tips, do inform and we will try to arrange.

(UPDATE: In the video when trying to retrieve the rocket-launcher it says "Don't bother fighting this beast without a powerful weapon and enough ammo..."

The rocket-launcher is powerful enough to injure the beast with a single shot, but you need enough ammo to keep firing a few times to actually kill the lake dwelling beasts.)

Game Tips # 3 - Use the Flashlight / Map / Log-Viewer

1. In case you find things too dark, press the 'F' key to turn ON/OFF the flashlight.

2. If you are lost or do not understand what to do in the forest, press the "M" key to display the HOLO-MAP. This will show you a simple path to follow to your objectives. Remember, the path displayed is a straight line in the map, you might have to zig-zag a bit.

3. Also remember to look for & read / listen to the HOLO-LOGs. They will inform you about your OBJECTIVES and options INFO section. You can view / scroll / listen to these logs separately by pressing the "O" key. Press "I" to turn off the messages.

4. Find your way to the upper levels on the trees from the ground. There's a lot more action and different enemies up there!

Game Tips # 2

Get Off the Forest Floor Level

"Ground Zero" - the first level - is a "slow moving" level. Meaning it is has only 2 types of enemies and just introduces you to the basic snakes. Once you get to the first upper level, more harder action follows.

The pace of the game picks up substantially as you go up the levels. So try to get to the upper levels.

Game Tips # 1

Episode 1 - Ground Zero (Level 1)

1. To find your way through the forest, use the simple HOLO-MAP (Press 'M' key). It shows a straight forward route, so you might need to take some twists and turns.

2. Remember to view / listen to those HOLO-LOG messages as you encounter them. They have vital information.

3. Unless really required (or you have a powerful weapon) don't bother fighting with the giant lake dwelling snakes. Just get away from them as quickly as possible.

We Are Live!

I am glad to announce that we are finally live! I hope you enjoy playing the game!

Game Tips & Strategies

I will be posting tips and strategies regarding certain areas of the game once the game is officially launched. Most of the game is straight forward, but some fights require a little strategy to defeat, or simply evade, the enemies.
