CHANGELOG - v3.4.0 - Hit detection has been revamped for Dedicated Servers running in Authoritative mode. When playing in a server in this mode, hits are validated by the server instead of by peers. Player-hosted servers and Dedicated Servers running in Witness mode will continue to run the "democratic" hit detection system. - Dedicated Servers can opt in to running Authoritative mode by adding this command line argument when you launch your server: --hitdetectionmode "authoritative". - In the server browser, you'll now see the current map name and server type. Player-hosted, Dedicated (W) for Witness mode, and Dedicated (A) for Authoritative mode. - Bandwidth reduced on all networked player objects (head, hands, play area, etc...) by 40%, resulting in lower latency when viewing another player's avatar. - When playing in servers running in Authoritative mode, you'll also see projectiles from other players synced much closer to the position of the projectile on the shooter's client, along with other projectile consistency updates. - Quest performance increased by ~15fps on average. This required an upgrade of our Unity version which can come with some side effects - so be on the lookout for bugs. - 2D Simulator, which is used for casting, has once again been updated as part of the Unity upgrade. It has new controls. I'm sorry.
Update 3.1.0
v3.1.0 is now LIVE after 3 months of development and weeks of closed beta testing. This is a very big update. Our game engine has been updated multiple versions. We've swapped out or updated many of our foundational systems such as voice chat, IK, and VR interaction. There will be bugs - please help us solve them by sending detailed feedback on how to reproduce the bugs to the discord #feedback channel. Thanks for your patience. As a reward, all players that hit Level 20 will receive the first ever Jersey cosmetic, which changes color based on team. ❤️

v2.8.2 - Jolly Mode is here!
CHANGELOG - v2.8.2 - Jolly Mode has come to the Snapshot Arena! Toggle it on or off the same way you would for Spooky Mode. - Tips and Tricks UI has been added to the Lobby and to the wall of each team pit. This has basic information on how the game works. Let us know what we should add for new players. - Short and Tall Cake bunker dimensions have been adjusted - Head and Hand networked position accuracy has been increased across all platforms - New SFX added for when a projectile collides with a bunker. We're looking for feedback on how this sound should be tweaked. - Discord bot in #live-match-updates now shows Time Remaining for the match - Legacy map files that were included with the build have been removed. We'll upload them to a public drive in case anyone wants to reupload them as cloud maps.
v2.8.0 - Airball 1:1 scale bunkers and Xball mode!
CHANGELOG - v2.8.0 - The new Airball bunker kit with 1:1 scale inflatable bunkers is live with the updated NXL World Cup 2022 layout. Find it in the New tab as `2dp_Air_NXL_World_Cup_2022`. You may now submit new layouts, or copies of existing layouts, with `_Air_` inserted into the file name to enable the new tileset when the layout is loaded (you may need to tweak bunker positions, as the bunker sizes are not identical between tilesets). - Xball mode (beta) is now selectable in the Game Mode dropdown. Xball mode is a 7 minute timed match that requires that the buzzer or concede button be hit to end the current round. The concede button is enabled by default when Xball mode is selected. Bots have been adjusted to be able to hit the buzzer. - Player hand and head positions have been updated to be more accurate when synced across the network. - Player min head/body height has been lowered to allow for playing of the new snake beams. - Multiple bunkers from the default Snapshot bunker kit have been updated to ensure they cannot be looked through when the head is colliding with the bunker. - Shot and reload capacity now resets twice per round. Once when the player is spawned to the field, and again when the point starts.

Instead of only being able to switch teams while match is paused or in between matches, now it limits you from switching teams too close to the end of a countdown that would spawn you on to the field. - Fix for voice channels. Still supporting all three voice modes, but reverted to the previous model of joining/disconnecting from channels during different game states. - Fix for spectators being kicked for being idle. - VRML S3 tab with season maps added to pedestal
v2.7.3 is live. New unlockable masks. So many quality of life updates.
CHANGELOG - v2.7.3 New Unlockables - New mask variants can be unlocked at Level 30 (Gray GS Pro Specs) and Level 50 (Red and White GS Pro Specs). If you've already hit this level, the next time you finish playing a match your new cosmetic will be assigned to you. - VRML Season 2 winners have been assigned Gold/Silver/Bronze variants of the GS Pro Specs mask.
Settings / Pedestal Changes - Competitive Mode has been removed. It was only controlling voice settings, and now Voice Mode can be set individually. - Voice Mode has been added as a room setting to the pedestal. Choose between Competitive (separated by team and alive/dead), Casual (separated by team), and Global (all talk). - New toggle added to pedestal to enable/disable automatic sliding for your player.
Quality of Life Improvements - Default joystick tracking set to Head - Concede Button has been moved to left corner of pit. Spawn points moved further to the right. This is a temporary solution to clipping the concede button on teleport. - Minimap has been rewired to address issues of it not updating automatically. - A max height has been set that your gun can fire while alive on the field. This is to prevent abusing roomscale to fire high above bunkers. - Players now may only switch teams between matches or during a timeout. This is to prevent abuse with last second team changes. - The VR Keyboard in the Lobby has been fixed so that it doesn't reset while you're entering a password. - Our voice chat integration was rewritten to allow for new Voice Modes and future Mute functionality. Mute not ready for this build, but keep an eye out for weird behavior with voice channels. - Logging has been significantly reduced to help with performance drops.
