Hey Everyone, what could be better in summer than sweating buckets in a physically engaging VR game? In our case, not much! We have been developing and testing the heck out of Snow Scout, implementing a lot more features. Of course, with new features there are also new bugs, so we went from our last public build #35 directly to #53 with this one! Sorry it took a bit longer than usual, but we think it was definitely worth the wait. On the technical side there are lots of new comfort options like snap turning, grip toggle and stick swap. Gameplay-wise, we finally implemented some new things like recycling trash, skipping lift rides and a protocol that shows the last couple of lines Vreni said, in case you ever miss something. Also, there are a bunch of new and improved graphics, about a hundred new lines from Vreni as well as more music, most notably during the ski races. AND a bunch of new Achievements.
We hope you'll have as much fun playing as we had testing in these last couple weeks - but surely, there will still be some bugs around. Let us know in the discussion threads here on Steam or over on our Discord, and more patches will arrive in the coming days and weeks.

Patch Notes for Build 35
Hey Everyone,
Build 35 just went live. Its centerpiece is a big revision of the skiing system. Pushing off should now feel much more persistent and natural. Making pronounced, long pushing motions will now produce the best results, while "waggling" the sticks to quickly accelerate should not work anymore.
Also, the game will calibrate the ski stick length during startup. Of course you can still adjust the stick length in the ingame tablet menu (press X or A button). If pushing off seems too weak, try increasing the length, if it's overly strong (for example when playing seated) try to make the sticks a bit shorter.
Another nice new feature is that you can now delete save games in the save game selection menu. Also, there are lots of added animations, sounds and narration improvements.

Patch Notes for Build 34
Hello Everyone,
We just published another update for Snow Scout, which is pretty graphic-centric this time. It adds new surroundings for the canyon area, as well as for the view from inside the cannon shack. And the interior of the cannon shack also sports overhauled & improved lighting now. Also, several far & medium distance LODs have been improved, most notably for the tunnel on the 3rd skiing ground.
Additionally, there is a bunch of narration improvements and other small fixes … with many more to come ːDottieWinkː

Hey Everyone,
we just set a new build live which fixes some progression problems and adds graphics and audio improvements. Here's the detailed list:
- Cooking multiple times should work now - Stopping narration on day 4 is fixed - Incorrect narration on day 5 fixed - Several bumpy bridges have been straightened - TV now turns off when going to sleep & has more sound FX - Graphical glitch in snow cover test is fixed - Lighting & draw distance in area 6 are improved - Wind whistling sound has been added to canyon area - Several narration improvements

Hello Everyone,
It was a bit quiet on the update front during the last two weeks, as we had to do some important stuff with Rainbow Reactor: Fusion - it will soon come to another VR platform, if that is enough of a tease ;-)
But now we set Build 32 live which has some fresh fixes for issues that our test players have discovered. If you're new to Snow Scout's Early Access, two important PSAs first: When starting to play, please make sure to adjust your ski stick length in the in-game tablet menu to a setting where the tips of the sticks just so touch the snow. Otherwise, you will be much too fast, or unable to move at all. So until we improved that, this is a very important workaround!

This Build isn't super exciting, but we revamped the item spawning and saving system, so issues like keys and tools not appearing should be history now! Also, there are some narration fixes concerning the end scene of the game.

Patch Notes for Build 28
Hey Everyone, Build 28 has arrived! Here's the fixes it contains:
- Some drawers in hut 3 didn't work - There was a messy transition to and from the canyon area - after the big jump, you could fall through the terrain - game crashed when you were about to reach the end scene - There were no key locks on the huts of the 2nd & 3rd ski areas.

These are issues that have been fixed with Build 27, which is now live:
- After firing the 2nd cannon, Vreni remains silent - Going back from "cross-country autobahn" to skiing ground#2 is bugged - Skiing through the canyon section is bugged - Avalanche in canyon kills player in canyon without warning - Narration: Add clearer instructions on using backpack - Hut #3 cannot be entered - It's not possible to sleep in Hut #2 on the 3rd day - Going to sleep on the 3rd day in Hut #1 creates a groundhog day loop
Patch Notes for Build 25
Hey Everyone, Build 25 is now live and the following issues found by the community have been fixed:
- After getting on the 3rd lift, players float above the seat and can't get off - The handle on the safe in the cannon room won't turn - safe handle can even come off, bocking access to the safe! - Vreni can repeat previous dialogue about the snow cover test - Teleporting can occur on Ski Lift #2 - Vreni seems to get stuck in a dialogue loop on day four ski lift dialogue - hands are glitchy on ski lift - shovel sometimes does not spawn - The fire can go out when you leave the hut, leaving you stuck
