We will be making the Snowday source code open-source under the MIT license! The Breachgate team is no longer developing, or supporting Snowday so we are making these moves to allow the game to live on in some limited capacity. As part of this move we will be shutting down the matchmaking and gameplay dedicated servers and providing Snowday on Steam free of charge. So while the online multiplayer gameplay will no longer be supported, the endless snowmen mode will be fully functional for free.
If you are inclined to peek at the source code and potentially try and modify the game, or spin up your own servers, the code can be found Here
Thank you for your support!
Sincerely,
The Breachgate Team (Shem and Jeremy)
Single Player Mode and Touch Support Added
Howdy snowbrawlers!
Just wanted to let you know that we have a new update for y'all! We've been crunching the past few weeks designing a single player mode, adding Oculus Touch support, and the ability to invite friends to multiplayer games.. You'll also notice the surface of the snow deforming as you pick up snowballs. There are a few framerate issues for anyone running a 970 or lower, so if you're running those cards, keep in mind that you won't be getting a solid 90 all the time. We're working on fixing that as fast as we can. Finally, pleae let us know what you think of the new changes--we'll be continuing to add features to the single player experience based off of your input!
See you on the snowfield!

Layout for New Single Player Mode
Snowday single player:
The town is in trouble--a horde of Snowmen of unknown origin have begun clambering out of the forest. As one of the last children from a long-line of specially trained snowmen hunters, it is up to you to buy humanity the time it needs to prepare for this oncoming onslaught. Standing tall on the hill behind the white picket-fenced backyards, you are the only thing standing between the town and the oncoming blizzard. School may be out, but your duty has just begun!
Prepare for some single player action on the beta branch this Thursday, and give us your feedback!
Post Early-Access Updates
Hey guys!
Just wanted to post a few quick updates to let you know what's going on since release. After release, we found a bug that would appear whenever people stole the teleporters and ran away. This bug caused a crash--and we're glad to say that it's been fixed! In other news, we've listened to your feedback, and have started work on a single player mode for the game. We're bouncing ideas around, and here are some of the level designs we've slapped together so far.
Backyard level:
Pond level:
Tent Level:
Parking Lot Level:
We're currently working on distilling the best of these 4 ideas into one; please let us know what you think!
