SokoSolitaire is a card-pushing puzzle game that combines Sokoban with Solitaire. You'll find yourself pushing, stacking or flipping cards and more across 60 different handcrafted levels.

Patch 1.2.1

Hello everyone,

Following yesterday's update, I learned of a bug that would cause issues when turning off a colorblind mode and also that the paint barrels from the Aphrodite's Trial DLC would not change their color when colorblind mode was on, both of these have been just fixed!

BUNDLE - Sokobans in Ancient Greece

Patch 1.2.0

Hello everyone, just updated Sokobos to version 1.2.0.

This brings a couple of changes, but the most significant one is a the new Input system that I carried over from my upcoming game puzzle game SokoSolitaire.

New input system


This new input system allows for pressing and holding keys, which is something the old one did, but this one is improved. The old system would use a delay between inputs whenever you pressed or held the key. This new one uses delay for holding down a key but pressing a key will always move you, regardless of how long has passed since the last move.

No more settings require a level restart


Sokobos allows you choose a colorblind support mode and also adjust the transparency of the blueprints, however both of these changes required a level restart in order to take an effect. This is no longer the case.

Move optimization mode


In Sokobos you can choose to see a move counter and have a leaderboard displayed after you beat each level. This is a feature for those who enjoy not just solving levels, but also conquering them in as little moves as possible. Sokobos would start you on first time of turning your game if you'd like to have this mode on or off.

Looking back, this was not the best choice, as you aren't familiar with the game itself, what its levels are like and so on. This has been changed and all new players will be offered this choice after beating level 10. However, if someone wants to turn it on before then, they can do so in the settings at any time.

Bug with setting default gamepad controls


Last but not least, I've fixed an issue where if you reset controls back to default the D-Pad right and D-Pad left (for moving right and left) would be set to the wrong direction.

Patch 1.1.2

Hello everyone, I just updated Sokobos to version 1.1.2!

Improved PRESS ONLY input


When using this (default) input method, there would be a short delay between the game reading input between moves. This would result in situations where you could press a key after moving, but it would not be read and you wouldn't move. This has been fixed.

Improved memory cache


Few patches back I added a memory cache system that would store game objects in memory so that when they appear for the first time during your gameplay session, the game wouldn't sometimes freeze for a split second to load the new object. Few objects were missing which could seldom cause short freezes, these objects have been added.

Typo fix


In the second cutscene in the base game, there's been a typo. This has been fixed.

Sokobos GOLD

Hello everyone, it's hard to believe but a year ago Sokobos released on Steam, time sure flies!

As you may know, last November I released Aphordite's Trial, a Sokobos DLC introducing 30 new levels, with new mechanics and a whole new story.

To celebrate Sokobos' 1st anniversary I decided to bundle the base game and the DLC together.
The bundle is complete your collection type, meaning if you only own the base game, you can still get the DLC through it and save extra 10%.

Hotfix

Hello everyone, I just released a quick hotfix for Sokobos.

List of changes

  • Fixed a rare gate bug related to a single gate having 2+ plates where an open gate would close even though one of its plates was pressed. This most commonly occured in Aphrodite's Trial Level 15.
  • Final Aphordite cutscene had a wrong text formatting in one of its lines, also fixed displaying an incorrect sprite for Nikephoros during one of its parts.

Patch 1.1.1

Hello everyone, just updated Sokobos to version 1.1.1.

Here's the list of changes

  • Aphrodite's Trial - Moved the tutorial explaining interaction between Fire pots and Wooden frames to level 12 from level 11, since level 11 did not contain any Fire pots
  • When you would open the Level Select in-game, if you would switch between Original and DLC levels or pages of levels a bug could occur that would return you back to menu instead of game in case you decided to back out
  • Internal code clean ups
