  • Improved the internal process related to the fullscreen mode.
  • Auto-set the default screen size (e.g. 1920x1080) depending on the aspect ratio of your display.
  • Auto-adjust the window size (especially if the display resolution is not enough).
  • Auto-adjust the window position if the window goes off the screen.
  • Enable to toggle fullscreen mode with ALT + Enter (on Windows) or Command + Control + F (on Mac OS).
  • Enable to toggle the window size (1x / 0.5x) with F4 key.
  • Enable to toggle the rendering scale (1x / 0.5x) with F5 key.


About Retina displays



On Retina (or high-DPI) displays, the window might not fit to the screen and be scaled 2x more than what it should be.
Using both F4 (toggles the window size) and F5 (toggles the rendering scale) keys might solve this issue.

Mac Version Released!

Solid Aether is now playable on macOS!

Mojave is recommended, but it is also reported that it worked on High Sierra and OS X El Capitan.
If you haven't yet purchased, a Demo Version is also available on the store page.

  • Particles were not displayed correctly when defeating the final boss.

  • Added a brief instruction to the loading screen of level 1.
  • Now the frame rate will automatically be changed to 30 if the actual FPS in the game is less than 70% of the ideal FPS.

Found a regression bug in the last version:
The program used to crash when you lost all the lives in the NORMAL mode.

I just did some minor fixes:

Features



  • Added moving speed options to the "SETTINGS" screen. Now you can adjust the moving speed as you like, both the high speed and the low speed.
  • Disabled awarding extra lives in the endless mode.
  • Added result display to endless mode. The result will be shown when you lost all your lives.
  • Added stage name to the result display.
  • Enabled WASD & IJKL operation.


Bug fix



  • The [ LOW FPS ] message was not displayed correctly in some cases.


Refinements



  • Refined the 5th bullet pattern of the level 3 boss as it was too much difficult.
  • Disabled the inertia of the player character so that you can move more precisely.
