Soma Spirits: Rebalance will soon be a free download!
It's been an amazing few years, hasn't it? And in those years, I'm always thrilled to think about the love that players of Soma Spirits: Rebalance show for the game.
Today I would like to announce that this game will soon be converted to a free download, as it has run its course as a commercial product and has been available for long enough that it is time to make it more accessible to new players, especially in these financially trying times. This transition will happen approximately around Monday, October 18th, 2021. Our other project, Brave Hero Yuusha EX, will become free as well.
The game's free sequel, Soma Union, is also planned for a Steam release (though it is already available on other platforms if you don't want to wait!) And converting this game to a free download will help keep their accessibility uniform. So please look forward to it!
Whether you've enjoyed Soma Spirits for one year or five, I hope you'll enjoy this story for many more to come!

Version 1.1.1 Update
Soma Spirits: Rebalance v1.1.1 is now live. This is a very minor update that addresses the following:
- Fixed a bug related to the Text Sound Effect option in the Options menu. As part of this fix, existing save files that had the sound effect turned off may have the option turned back on under certain circumstances upon your next visit to Form's Temple. You are free to turn it back off again if you wish!
Version 1.1.0 Live!
August 12th is the 5th Anniversary of the original release of Soma Spirits, and with it comes a special new patch to help you replay the game with new features and adjustments! Version 1.1.0 is live and includes the following changes:
NEW FEATURES AND CHANGES
- Many skill and item descriptions have been updated to be more detailed and consistent.
- You may now change the game's difficulty in the Options menu at any time.
- You are now able to change Options at the start of the game, rather than having to wait for the intro scene to play out.
- The Options menu now has a "Confirm Changes" option. (Pressing X to back out will still save your changes as it did before).
-- You can receive a money-doubling Tycoon Ring from Melodus in Form's Temple if the difficulty is set to Easy and you did not receive one from choosing Easy at the start of the game.
- Upon starting New Game+, you will receive a new Key Item called Sleepy Incense. Using this item will disable all overworld encounters. This effect can be toggled on and off. Has no effect on the overworld encounters in the bonus dungeon.
-- If you have an existing New Game+ file, you may receive this item by talking to Melodus in Form's Temple.
- The intensity of many full-screen flashing effects, such as switching worlds or having HP/MP restored, has been softened to help reduce eye-strain and to be more epileptic-friendly.
BUG FIXES
- When using buffs or healing abilities, enemies should now pick a random target as intended, instead of always targeting the last enemy in a troop.
- Various text and grammar fixes.

- Flubbly - Increased weakness to Ice.
- Carniflower - Increased weakness to Fire.
- Adjusted one enemy troop in Mysterious Woods to have different monsters.
Fixed a formatting error on a snowman in Freezing Fjord.
