👏 Super Easy Avatar SDK Tutorial and 360° vids and pics
Custom Avatars can be uploaded to Somnium for couple weeks now, but this in-depth tutorial makes it easy for everyone to be whatever one wants inside Somnium. It takes you through all the installs and settings, from our platform to the Unity SDK. So for those who are not familiar with Unity it will still be very easy.

Week Nr. 1 of our Landsale was success - Week Nr. 2 starts this Thursday.
The highly anticipated first week of the Road to Secondary Land Offering (or Road to SLO in short) has just been finished after 3 days of Dutch auction style selling of 25 waterside M(edium) and XL(arge) parcels.
Waterfront extravaganza
The first week focused on medium and xlarge waterfront parcels (including parcels close to the waterfront). Waterfront parcels are in demand and have seen considerable surges in value in the past months.
Number of sold parcels
A total of 25 parcels were put on auction by Somnium Space and all 25 were sold before the end of the 3-day auction period. The first parcel auctioned was parcel 2899, an XL parcel on the eastern shore of the biggest island in Deep Oasis Lake.
The total amount spent landed on 110 ETH, which is 4.4 ETH on average per parcel.

Somnium Space climbed the ranks on OpenSea as far as total weekly transaction volume is concerned, which landed on an impressive 224 ETH. This means an overall 4th place.

Our New Builder Is Live! Let's #BUIDL
We will start building history together, so let's get on it --> Our new launcher can be downloaded from our website. Click on "Launch PC Client", make sure you let all the updates run and you are good to go. Pick one of your parcels, or choose the test parcel and start building. Simple as that... Now start buidling!
Now you will be able to do some amazing stuff with this early version. From using our default assets to play with all kinds of shapes applying ANY textures you want and embed videos, that all under some cool light effects.

Parcel Reservation For Backers Was A Success!
Hello People of Somnium,
The past 7 days were truly amazing! Our crowdfunding campaigns backers were able to reserve their parcels by using our brand new PC Client available only for them at this moment. The area around the city center is already reserved, but there are still lot's of prime coastal properties available for the public auction (Initial Land Offering) coming this summer. We will update you here and on all our social media channels once the date is set. For the latest updates go to our Discord channel or Twitter.
In the meantime we are building Somnium Space 2.0 which will be a blast when everything is ready for a better performance and visuals and more importantly capabilities. We will be ready at the end of summer too and we are planning to leave early access for good.
In other news, we were able to finalize our investment round, which will help us to develop quicker our vision for Somnium Space and in an amazing quality.

Dear people of Somnium!
We've been hard at work to make Somnium better and we are glad to announce that a new Christmas update is LIVE!
What is new in this client? Here we go:
- New holiday decoration: snow, Santa, Christmas tree, light decorations, snow piles etc.
- Play snowballs. Reach out to snow piles, grab a snowball and throw it as far as you can! Enjoy! :)
- Performance updates and minor bugs fixes! We are now at stable 50 - 90 fps levels at almost all locations.
- Microphone source can be now changed inside the game. Have a look at the top right corner of your game window.
- Virtual microphones grab system update - now you do not need to hold your virtual microphone by holding grab button all the time, you can just click it once to take and one more time to release!
- Advertising panel on main square. Learn more here

Hello amazing people of Somnium!
What you have helped us to achieve so far is amazing! We have reached a 343% goal mark and there is still 39 days to go! World is watching and more new members join us every day!
Year End Final Event!
Throughout 2018 we have hosted a number of exciting events, starting from Live Music concerts with Kirsa Moonlight, to an amazing UFO deep dive talk with Kent Bye, political discussion,s VR influencers and many more. All recording you can find at our YouTube channel.
But for the end of this year we have prepared something truly special! Biggest VR YouTubers will participate in a final talk about VR. All that will be wrapped up with amazing performance of a live artist. We hope to see you there and have a lot of fun! Many surprises are coming too!
Working hard on new Somnium update!
As you know, we are preparing a huge update for Somnium in February, allowing you to enjoy crisp cinematic VR graphics alongside best performance on the market. We are working hard on each and every aspect of the map, environment, flora and fauna. Please see attached several amazing screenshots form our latest VR build. Please note: this is actual in-game footage. No post production was used.
You can expect fish, falling leaves, animals, wind, rains, snow etc etc. We are working really hard to deliver something not yet seen in VR in such a vast scale.
We are preparing a huge update when we reach 500%. This will be some exclusive preview of a new 2D PC client, full map view and much more!

last two weeks we were busy making Somnium even better. We have listened to you and made improvements to make life inside Somnium Space more interesting, alive, fun, social.
Please see below list of updates coming today to our client:
- dramatically improved performance. On average FPS is up 1.5 times of previous builds values.
- Bowling leader-board is live! Show people your real skills.
- Basketball on the main square. Enjoy game with our friends and play around the whole square.
- Interactive cubes! Build amazing structures with interactive cubes and see them fully synchronized with other players.
- Tablet sharing. It is possible to share tablet with friends. Take a selfie and see your friends tablet and both of you in the camera screen for much more fun experience. (browser sharing and other tabs is not active yet).
- Birds. Added birds on the trees, sky, water etc. Find a cool Easter egg related to birds and post video of it to our Discord channel!
- Back-end improvements, server stability improvements, minor bugs and fixes.
- Smoother avatar head movements.
- Improved sounds
