Songs2See Game and Songs2See Editor updated to v1.40
With the most recent, free update you'll get some nice new features.
The Songs2See Game now includes:
A countdown in musically meaningful beats (count in)
A customizable instrument, which allows you to select the clef and score sheet transposition (not the music!) required for your instrument (even if it's not yet supported by Songs2See)
Selectable segments inside a song are now tied to bar beginnings
Note heads in the classical score sheet view are colored according to player's performance (see screenshot below)
The Songs2See Editor now includes:
Correct backing & solo tracks used after import of
.s2p files (useful if you want to mod the included songs of Songs2See Game)
Nicer tones for the piano synthesizer (used for Songs2See Game files)
Tablature viewer that allows to preview, print or save tabs for guitar, bass and ukulele (see screenshot below)
Songs2See violin preview
Many users have requested the violin as an additional instrument in Songs2See. In beta-tests we could not find an agreement about the most intuitive visualization. Please help us by picking your favorite among the three preview options below. Just comment below this announcement which one you'd prefer.
Please note that the visuals are work in progress. We want to know which one you find most intuitive.
Happy holiday season!

With the most recent update of the Songs2See Editor, you can now import GuitarPro files (gp3, gp4) in conjunction with an audio-file (wav, mp3). Then, the existing notation from the GuitarPro file will be used instead of the automatic transcription. You find this import option in the menu 'File->Import GuitarPro with Audio'
Songs2See Update: F-Clef for Piano
Due to popular request, we added the f-clef (aka bass-clef) for piano. Now you can practice your left hand on the piano as well. You can simply choose it below the instrument selection as shown here below.
Moreover, we fixed a minor problem with MusicXML import.
