Sorcerer King Beta 5.1 Released
The seriously long changelog of Sorcerer King Beta 5.1 is now implemented your game. We’ve added intro quests, tutorials, the Tower of Mastery win condition, once-per-game special city improvements, ten new tactical maps, and much more to the game with this patch.
This patch also brings the Sorcerer King’s aggression much more in line with his moustache-twirling evilness. So look out for that. (If we choose to believe that he has a fabulous moustache under that hood, that’s our right. Don’t judge us!)

We deeply appreciate everyone who takes the time to review Sorcerer King (or update their old review), especially on Steam. If you have the time, it makes a huge difference to us and we salute everyone who makes the effort. Thank you!

Sorcerer King Beta 5 Released
Swamp Giants only make okay friends (smelled a swamp recently?), but as allies against the Sorcerer King they’re way more effective now that you get a new awesome hero for befriending them. The Beta 5 update is available today, and adds Remnant Champions alongside new Remnant Faction quests, an overhaul to the quest system, and more.
Remnant Champions are the finest fighters remaining to the shattered empires crushed by the Sorcerer King's terrible conquest. Their loyalty can be yours, but at a price: you'll have to help their people by completing unique quests before the Remnant Factions and their Champions will throw in with you for one final gasp of defiance against the evil Sorcerer King's dark reign. Korthox the Ice Lord, Esperaza the Avenger, and more will prove capable allies if you can earn their trust through battle and sacrifice.
Among (many) other things, Beta 5 includes:
Remnant Champions – Earn the loyalty of these powerful, unique heroes by completing their faction’s hand-crafted questline
Quest system overhaul – More, better rewards and additional multi-step quests added
End-game stats – Get more detail on what went right, and what went horribly wrong
Balance, polish, bug fixes – Overall experience is hugely improved with latest patch

Sorcerer King Beta 4 Released
Biggest. Update. Ever. 400+ new quests. Huge crafting system improvement. New sovereign. Custom sovereigns. Graphical overhaul. Today is an excellent day.
Sorcerer King Beta 4 comes strapped with more new and improved stuff than most updates can even dream of. The full patch notes are crazy-long, and not even padded (much) with minor bugfixes for little cosmetic glitches that only the artists who stare at the game all day notice anyway.*
Among (many) other things, Beta 4 includes:
Enchantment system – Customize your items with elemental attacks, mana drains, impenetrable defenses, and more
Hundreds of new quests – Thanks to the folks who signed on to help implement quests, there are 400+ new ones to explore
Tinkerer sovereign – Unlock the full potential of the crafting and enchantment systems with the final premade sovereign
Custom sovereigns – Mix and match abilities, heroes, spellbooks, and skilltrees into your ideal avatar
Graphical overhaul – New forests and chasms, much improved lighting, and tons of animations and effects

Sorcerer King Beta 3 Now Available
Evil overlords everywhere beware; never before have the forces of good had so many ways to fight the good fight!
Which is to say that today’s update to the Sorcerer King beta adds the Priest and Commander sovereigns to the game. Huzzah! Fix the shadowlands, restore your armies to fighting shape, and call in divine favors for absurdly overpowered effects as the Priest, or field legions the likes of which other sovereigns can only dream of as the Commander. Either way, you’ll be taking advantage the big round of polish, balance, and content additions in Sorcerer King Beta 3.
Log into Steam to automatically download the patch. Make sure you opt out of any branches (like the development snapshots from a while back) to ensure that you get the latest build.
Read the full patch notes here. You may wish to pour one out for the demise of the longstanding bug that has eaten so many movement points of units entering and exiting armies over lo these many games, but that’s up to you.
As always, the team here at Stardock thanks you all for your support, your gameplay feedback, and your bug reports. Your contributions are invaluable to our efforts to make Sorcerer King the best it can be, and we deeply appreciate your efforts.
Happy conquering!
