Hello, to all stalkers and fans of survival in the dangerous world of S.O.T.A 2
We have prepared another third update!

A lot of work has been done in this update. Throughout the entire time, we carefully listened to your wishes and, having selected the most important from everything, we implemented it in the game.

We spent a lot of time on the game interface. We remember your requests to introduce a compass into the game, as well as indicators of the direction of damage.

○ Changes in the game interface:
• Added a compass.



• Added the mechanics of entering a promotional code to receive a gift.
• Added display of the direction of the character on the map.
• Added display of the force of throwing throwing objects.
• Changed visualization of interaction with the subject.
• Added display of the direction of damage.
• Added hints in the inventory.
Similar buttons with a question mark were scattered throughout the inventory. When you click on the question, you will see a hint. Don't be lazy and read the information in these tips.



• Illumination of objects.
Very often we heard complaints from players that cartridges were not visible, and in general a small-sized swag. Well, we heard you. Now cartridges and other swag that can be picked up are highlighted.

○ New items in the drop:
• Grenades
• Optical sights.



• As well as a large number of other items.



and that's not all, there are many times more objects. We just decided to show what has been introduced into the game right now.
○ Changes to quest rewards:
• Revised and rewritten almost all tasks in the game.
• Revised rewards for almost all tasks in the game.
• Added a few more new tasks in the game.
• Added three story quests (Foma [Fizruk], Shurik [Smuggler], Vlad [Technician]).

○ Changes in game optimization:
• Optimized anomalies.

○ Changes to item characteristics:
• Changed and revised characteristics of some items in the game.
This mainly affected cartridges and some types of weapons. Those who are especially vigilant will be able to see the difference, for example, in the speed of a bullet.

○ Dialogues:
• Rewritten almost all dialogues for all NPCs at the checkpoint.
We express our deep gratitude to Daria for writing dialogs.

○ Changes in game mechanics:
• Added the mechanics of pumping the physical skills of the character.
Now, for various actions in the game, the player receives experience points, thereby pumping the level of the character's physical skill tree.
• Added mechanics of accelerators for pumping physical skills.
Foma [Fizruk], who lives in the barracks near Shurik [Smuggler], provides training services for stalkers. After listening to a lecture from a physical training specialist, the speed of pumping the character's physical skills increases depending on the course you choose.
• Added a mechanic for resetting physical skills.
If you want to redistribute previously distributed skills, talk to Foma [Fizruk]. A brief briefing and error handling will give you the opportunity to redistribute skills anew.
• Added event "Random box". A drop with interesting loot may appear on the map. All online players will receive a message with the location of this container.



• Added the mechanics of the weight carried by the character.



From left to right:
The maximum weight that the character can carry.
Total weight of items on the character (including inventory)
The total weight of items in inventory.
Maximum allowable weight in inventory.
The number of occupied slots in the inventory.
The total number of slots in the inventory.

○ Added new crafting recipes:
• New recipes will appear in mini updates after the current update.

○ Changes in weather:
• Corrected the behavior of rain if the player is in a building.

○ Bug fixes:
• Fixed a bug with dropping radiation after the death of a player.
• Fixed a bug with dragging items, when the wrong item that you selected could get out.
• Fixed a bug with a decrease in store capacity after the player rejoins the game.
• Fixed a bug with displaying players in the chat list.
• Fixed a bug with the effect of artifacts.
• Fixed a bug with the ability to submit a task without an artifact in a task to search for artifacts.
• Fixed bugs with animations.
• Fixed a bug with displaying the characteristics of the clip / magazine without cartridges.

○ AI NPC improvements:
• The behavior of wild boars has been improved.
Now after the death of boars, they will respawn at the spawn point.



What awaits you in the next updates.

○ Weapon and ammunition modification system.
We are actively working on a new system for modifying weapons and character ammunition kits. You can independently, according to your taste and desire, modify weapons and ammunition as you like. Lighten weight or improve shooting accuracy. Install a mount for mounting scopes, etc.
○ New location: City
We are actively working on creating a new location, the main models for the city have already been made, these are multi-storey buildings and related buildings. But there is still a lot of work to do. The city will be available in the next major update.
○ Recycling swag
We don't really like the current concept of collecting swag in abandoned locations. It somehow strangely fits in with the logy that, entering an abandoned village, you can easily find there a large number of cartridges and weapons. We decided to rework this moment and, in principle, you can already observe its rudiments in the current version of the game. We will reduce everything to the fact that it will be possible to find cartridges or weapons only in the appropriate places and then in a very limited quantity. The main swag will be all sorts of "garbage", which you can exchange with the NPC for cartridges and ammunition, or sell.
○ The points of attachment of the weapon to the backpack on the back of the character.
Oh, how we do not like the weapon hanging through the bag on the back. And you often talk about it ...
○ Display of yellow and green zones on the map in the PDA.
○ New set of ammunition [Stalker].
Are there any blueprints in the game? Now we need to give the opportunity to create this set of ammunition.
○ Geiger counter.
The game has already implemented radiation and radioactive contamination. The case is small, give players a geiger counter, and scatter radioactive anomalies around the zone.
○ Gas masks.
We plan to introduce several types of new gas anomalies. With a gas mask and a filter, for some time without harm to health, it will be possible to be right in the epicenter of such an anomaly.
○ Ejection.
One of the main mechanics in the game. Periodically, a global event will take place in the game, killing all those who did not have time to find shelter (secluded mink).
○ Silencers.
Silent shooting is cool ... Clicking somewhere in the distance, the whistle of a bullet overhead. It will be even worse.
○ Artifacts
We really want to introduce new artifacts into the game.
○ New random events.
The random event introduced in this update is cool, but not enough. We are planning to introduce an event, namely anomalous activity. A dangerous anomaly will appear at a random point on the map, in which you can get a new artifact. We think it will be very cool;)
