Free Demo for the US/EU Server Testing (Jun 21-24)
Hey souls! The ping testing result from last week is better than we thought. Now we're gonna have another test via Steam Demo this week (Jun 21-24). This time we'll release a free demo for everyone to download which is only accessible to the US/EU server. The contents of the demo are no different from the full version Soul at Stake, so feel free to try all the new features out.
Here are some major updates since March 25.

We'll also UNLOCK all Devils, all Gamblers, all Cheats, and all Trumps with max levels for you in this test.

Bug Fixes
1. Fixed the bug that causes the Phantom's exclusive Trumps and Sophia's Trump [Bystander] to be reclaimed after they reach Level 10.
2. Fixed a bug that causes incorrect display of Steam friends list.
3. Tuned down the sound volume of the defeat cutscene of the Phantom.
4. Fixed the store rooms in the Dyehouse which can be only entered through a window.
5. Fixed the incorrect display of Sophia in the lobby.
6. Fixed a bug that causes game crash when playing as the Phantom.
Adjustments
1. Adjusted the smoke effect of mimicking as the Phantom.
2. Adjusted the sound effect of Phantom hitting and mimicking.
Compensation
If your characters - the Phantom and/or Sophia - reached Level 10 and are affected by the bug #1 mentioned above, we would like to compensate your -
1. Tuned down the sound volume of the defeat cutscene of the Phantom.
2. Remove the Game Hints about the [Ghost Eye].

Season 1 End
The first season will officially end at 23:59 on June 15th, Beijing Time. You may restart the game to receive your season rewards based on your highest rank on or after May 15th.
Off-season
June 16-21 will be the off-season. Your rank will not change during this period. The second season will launch on June 22nd.

Rank 1 - Daniel's outfit [The Exorcist], Daniel's emoji [Disapprove], Daniel's face costume [Topaz Glasses], All Gamblers' exclusive Trumps*5.

Adjustments
- The Prince - 1. Adjusted the Cheat [Death Breath]. Increase the distance that the Prince may sense injured or seriously wounded Gamblers, and decrease the distance that Gamblers may sense seriously wounded teammates.
2. Remade the Cheat [Soul Grasp]. Each time a Gambler gets hit by the Prince, they get a status that makes them bleed faster. This status is accumulative.
- The Corpse - 1. Removed the Cheat [Death Thrill].
2. The Corpse's hits may be charged for a shorter time, from 1.0 second to 0.75 seconds.
3. New Cheat [Atrocity] - The corpse's hits may be charged for a longer time.
Bloody Mode Adjustment
When the bloody mode is turned off, there will be no blood effects when Gamblers get hit, and Gamblers' bodies will disappear in 2 seconds after they are executed.
Bug Fixes
1. Fixed a bug when using the Bride's exclusive Trump [Demolition] the sixth double explodes instead of the first one when placing the 6th double.
2. Fixed a bug that allows Gamblers to seal a card exceeding allowed points when they shuffle the cards quickly.
3. Fixed a bug that doesn't put the first cardholder in cooldown when the Devil teleports for the first time in a game.
Game hints are displayed in the game now. We will give verbal hints to players about what is happening, what is the goal of the game, and how to play the game. We hope this function could help new players familiarize themselves with the game.
The Game hints are defaulted on, which could be turned off in the Setting page.
Explorer Mode
This mode could be entered from the character selection page (either the Devil or the Gambler). The player could play solo as a Devil or a Gambler on any map. There is no specific goal in this mode. The players could familiarize themselves with the map, practice sealing the cardholders or QTE checks, etc., and they can quit this mode by pressing "ESC" at any time.
New Contents
1. 8 new challenge tasks.
2. 1 new daily task.
3. Level-up tasks for Sophia and the Phantom.
4. New common Trump [Blood Romance] to increase the chance to go to the new map "Dreadful Dyehouse".
5. The Phantom's exclusive Trump [Vividity] and Sophia's exclusive Trump [Intuition].
Bug Fixes
1. Attempted to fix a bug that prevents store page from closing in the game.
2. Attempted to fix a bug that causes incorrect countdown (a few hundreds of seconds) of the extra item in the 1-on-1 games.
3. Fixed some hitbox bugs in the Train Station map and Tulou map.
4. Fixed some incorrect descriptions in the daily tasks.
5. Fixed the incorrect description of [Bear Trap] in the loading screen.
6. Fixed the issue that resets the mouse sensitivity after relaunching the game.

Season Format Update
The seasonal rewards are awarded based on the highest rank of a player throughout the season instead of by the end of the season, starting from May the 14th.

Gameplay Updates
1. If players didn't make good efforts in playing the game, such as hanging, hitting/dodging/wandering randomly for no purpose, they will NOT earn EXP after the game.
2. Items that have a delay effect, such as [Herbal Elixir], will award scores immediately upon usage.

1. Fixed an issue that might cause game freeze when opening a chest.
2. Fixed a bug that allows Angie's exclusive Trump [Perception] to observe the Bride's first double all the time.
