Matchmaking Server



  • Improved server performance and stability.


Gameplay




  • Rebalanced in game energy income to increase average game time.
  • Rebalanced base unit costs to reflect these changes.
  • As a consequence, abilities now add less overall cost to units.
  • Rebalanced basic unit stats to better serve the new gameplay style.
  • Added control zone & totems to the middle of the lane which damages the controlling players' enemy base over time.
  • Added visual feedback to represent taking base damage from either the void or control zone.
  • Added a 5 second pre-combat phase to give you a moment to prepare for battle.
  • Can now use keyboard shortcuts for selection units and faction spells.
  • Numbers 1 to 5 on the keyboard select units.
  • ‘Q’ and ‘E’ now selection Faction Spell 1 & 2



Gamemodes



  • Added 10 different premade bot teams that will be chosen randomly upon joining a bot game.
  • Added ranked functionality to 1v1 gamemode, where you will now verse players of a similar skill level.
  • Added challenge feature to challenge your Steam friends.


Camera



  • Reduced zoom out capacity.
  • Can now move the camera horizontally with the mouse cursor or the WASD keys.


Maps



  • Improved performance on all levels.
  • Newlands lighting update to reduce model washout.
  • Deadlands directional light rotated to show more obvious shadows.
  • Deadlands removed fences causing poor shadow quality and replaced them with columns.
  • Rhinelands lighting update to reduce model washout.
  • Rhinelands colour spectrum changes to create more variation in foliage and ground.
  • Rhinelands directional light changed to show more shadows on units.
  • Rhinelands water shader changed to improve performance.
  • Fjordlands lighting update to make it less blue and shadows less harsh.


Faction Spells



  • Skeleton Faction Spell 1 has been changed to spawn a wave of 10 Bone Warriors from the summon zone.
  • Damage, Health and Move Speed have been reduced on Bone Warriors.
  • All faction spell icons have been replaced to better represent what they do.
  • Faction spells now start on cooldown.
  • Human Faction Spell 2 has been converted to a barrage of large explosive projectiles.
  • Added new placeholder VFX to faction spells for visual feedback.


UI



  • New game logo has been added to the loading screen when connecting to the game server.
  • Placeholder names for factions have been replaced to be called Humans & Skeletons.
  • Unit names have been changed to their respective class names.
  • Ability icons now load in on unit cards when in-game.
  • Lighting removed from Main Menu.
  • New unit art for UI for all default skins.
  • Faction spell lock out now shows readiness.
  • Changed placeholder font to suit theme.
  • Added indicator at the top of the in-game screen to show control zone status.


Abilities



  • 15 x new abilities for each unit in each faction.
  • Ability descriptions adjusted to be more clear.
  • Complete rebalancing of most of the abilities to reflect the new base cost of the factions.


Audio



  • Added new placeholder SFX where there was previously no SFX.


Bug Fixes



  • Projectiles now appear when Ranged units attack.
  • AI no longer walks off the map after killing an enemy.
  • Team saves now work correctly.
  • Units being sacrificed into the void no longer crit the base.


Known Bugs



  • Human Ranged Unit death animation will sometimes play twice.
  • Unit pathing will sometimes cause units to push each other.
  • When finishing a round, your build will reset the selection back to build #1 in your decks.
  • Human Ranged Unit will sometimes not target enemy units correctly and miss.
  • Damage counter will sometimes display the incorrect amount (still works correctly behind the scenes).

Removed



  • Removed all abilities from the previous build.
  • Disabled Dragons, Orcs, and Animals Factions.

Gameplay



  • Added 5 x new abilities to each unit in Human & Skeletons factions.
  • Increased base cost for Humans and Skeletons.
  • Decreased the length of the lane to make it shorter.

Camera



  • Added zooming to the in-game camera.

UI



  • Exit button is now functional on the main menu.
  • Added loading screen before going into a battle to load in map.
  • Swapped placeholder Human melee and ranged unit art to make more sense.

Bug Fixes



  • Fixed ranged units using projectiles missing arrows and targeting nothing.
  • Fixed ranged units targeting the base after killing an enemy.
  • Improved Unit AI pathing, but still a known issue that units walk off the map at times.

Known Bugs/Things Missing



  • Bots are currently set to be made up of Skeleton Support Units with one ability each.
  • AI pathing still has units walking off the map at times.
  • Ability Icons not loading on unit cards when in game.
  • Death animations are not functioning correctly on some units.
  • Health bars do not disappear until death animation is complete.
  • Faction Spells missing markers not displaying any visual effects.
  • Units spawning with -0 on the health splash numbers.
