Patch 0.6.0 EA - the dungeons



PATCH V0.6.0 - LIST OF CHANGES



Well, that patch took a bit longer...

So we always had one vision of SourceWorlds:

Ever changing paradigms, shifting worlds, changing challenges, dwelling at the limit. Nothing stays the same, but everything is eternal.

With this patch we finally introduce to you - procedurally generated dungeons!

ADDITIONAL CONTENT



  • Procedural dungeons!

    • The new system of PVE centric dungeons will give you the possibility to use your weapons in a never ending dungeon system. Here you can earn new items, test you skills and explore more content. For the start we will have two dungeons available:

      • The lingering caves of the lava dwarfes
        This dungeon is a more linear dungeon where you have to fight your way towards the endboss
      • The vast outskirts of the Foompa Loompa Islands
        These islands are non linear. You can explore these many islands or just go straight ahead to the islands boss and try to grab his loot

    • With each completed dungeon level you will increase the dungeon difficulty! Enemies will become stronger and tougher, however they will reward better loot.
    • On every dungeon level you have a shared life-counter. As soon as your last live is consumed, your adventures will end. This counter resets with each dungeon level! You'd better figure out a strategy.

    Your goal is to reach as many dungeonlevels as possible while not loosing your 3 lifes!
    For every start, you can choose a powerup (+ damage, + speed, + health).
    Everytime the boss is defeated, the dungeons resets and lets you begin the next level.
    With every new dungeonlevel the enemys will get harder - and you receive +2% dropquality (legendary drop chance).


  • Item gradings!

    • There are many different weapons in the game and most of them are good depending on the situation (PVE or PVP, big or small groups).
      Now every one of these weapons can be found in different gradings - so called levels. The higher the level, the stronger the weapon.
      There is also a colorscheme and a glowing effect depending of the perk (fire, lightning, frost, ...).
      Just be careful, higher itemlevel is not always better depending on the situation!


  • Additionally to the scaling system up to level 5, weapons also have a chance to receive certain enchantments. Currently the following enchantments have a chance to be randomly attached:

    • Fire: Sets hit enemies ablaze, dealing additional damage over time
    • Frost: With each hit you have a small chance to freeze an enemy
    • Lightning: Deal area damage with each hit
    • Lifeleech: Every time you deal a non-lethal hit you siphon 10% of the damage dealt and heal yourself


IMPROVEMENTS



  • SnuggleBeard Islands has received an extensive revamp. Tedious travel back and forth the main islands is a thing of the past! Benny will send you off to a nice round trip now.

BALANCE CHANGES



  • Reworked the balancing of several weapons and items

STABILITY AND PERFORMANCE



  • Fixed a bug which could potentially lead to a lost inventory (sorry if it happened to you...)

UI



  • Changed icons of items to show the current item lvl more clearly

MISCELLANEOUS



  • Fixed a ton of various bugs, too many to list here. And yes, there are still some left…


So, what is next?


We stated this is the last big patch before our full release! We are now optimizing our available systems, bring in some more items, characters, and content for the new dungeons.
Also we will finally bring in a sort of merchant, where you can turn in your precious gold for some nice stuff :-)

As we reach full release, our game will also slightly be increased in price, so grab it while you can!
And rest assured - we will still be providing content and patches after full release.

Patch 0.5.5 EA



PATCH V0.5.5 - LISTE DER ÄNDERUNGEN



Today there is a small intermediate patch. We fix some bugs, adjust some minor inconsistencies and improve the gameplay a bit.

This patch also technically paves the way for our next feature: procedurally generated dungeons, which grant you an increasing difficulty and better loot. Better be ready for it!

IMPROVEMENTS



  • Intro experience was adapted. After the Lobby Players will now start on the island hub, where they can decide whether they want a quick action of pvp or follow the storyline. For next patch a third gamemode will also be available. Stay tuned.
  • The golems on turtle islands are extinquished forever. Thank you for your service.
    But wait, are these cyber-raccoons from the future…?!

  • SnuggleBeard will now properly defend himself and put on a decent fight
  • Some weapons have their damage a bi adjusted

UI



  • Dialogues out of reach of any player will now continue after a certain time without player interaction

  • Fixed a bug where equipment wasn’t properly equipped after changing a level
  • Some spelling fixes in dialogues

We get it. Your comments have reached us. The fight against NPCs is great, collecting items is fun.
But at the end of the day, of course you just want to turn your swords against your best friends.

We present: PVP!

ADDITIONAL CONTENT



  • PVP Mode!

    • You can enable general PVP within the lobby settings now. With this, you can harm your buddies while roaming through the SourceWorlds

  • PVP Arena!

    • Striking your buddies during normal questing won’t cut it? Head off to two new PVP Arena maps. You can compete in a ‘safe’ environment. Try item combo’s, weapons and usables without the fear of loosing them permanently. After all, what happens in the arena, stays in the arena.
    • After an player met his last demise, he can still nag other players as ghost
    • In the arena there are some NPC enemies. They are not that relevant to your awesome PVP adventures, yet they can provide you with awesome loot for your current match!

  • New Weapons! As usual, we deliver you a couple more weapons and mechanics to have fun with! Maybe try the new Hook, so you can grapple your buddies towards you while they run away. Again.
  • New Accessories! Strike enemies with Lightning, incinerate them in engulfing flames, heal your friends with holy magic. The new item categories lets you cast powerful AoE magic!

IMPROVEMENTS



  • Loldania, PepperPark and the Arctic Wastelands have received a bit more love and are now more interesting to explore
  • Added some more unique sounds to items and throughout the world
  • Itemdrops have been adjusted - weapons and accessories are now distributed more consistenlty through enemies.

BALANCE CHANGES



  • Damage on many weapons and accessories has been adjusted

  • Reworked some enemy animations, makes them behave more smooth
  • ah, and we changed the logo, of course… :-)


We are still improving the PVP mode. One of the next patches will contain more settings to give you more flexibility to how you want to annihilate your buddies.

PATCH 0.4.0 EA - feather and sword

With this update we provide you some more convenience for your multiplayer sessions. Dialogues won’t get in your way during mid-combat, and items bring even more joy!

Beware - you might need to reallocate items in your slots, due to a small migration issue.

At the end of the patch notes you can find our current roadmap for the next features. We are very grateful and hope for your active feedback!

Next update will contain the glorious PVP Mode!!!

ADDITIONAL CONTENT



  • New items!
    Give your enemies a slight ‘touch’ to evaporate them from the SourceWorlds with the Touch of Death.
    If your comrades have biten the dust, you can now revive them on the spot with the new Angelic Intervention.
    Enemies are far away, you don’t want to walk over there? Worry not, pull them towards you with the new Hook!
  • Added new Islands in Snugglebeard

UI



  • Reworked Dialogue windows. They will now collapse to a smaller overlay when you are further away from talking NPCs.
    This means you can now also move freely while a dialogue is active.
    Careful though: You need to be in reach in order to continue talking to NPCs. Makes sense, right?

BALANCE CHANGES



  • Weapon overhaul! Nearly every weapon has had their damage adjusted to better fit into the current world and situation.
    Rest assured, there still are some imbalanced weapons.

GAMEPLAY



  • The Accessory-system has been overhauled! You can now equip two accessories at once and switch between them!
    This allows for a more combo-style gameplay. Grab the enemy towards you and yeet them right away with the Source Helmet!
  • Gamepad is now officially supported! Go grab your brand new Steamdeck (oh, you’re still waiting for your order request…?)

PATCH 0.2.1

Hello everyone,

this is a small patch, containing the following adaptions:


  • Overhauled the look and feel of our UI!
    More sleek and elegant design, items 75% less ugly, overall less demanding screenspace
  • Fixed deadlock situation at ending event in Snugglebeard Islands
  • Mouse sensitivity was sometimes not loaded correctly
  • Setting for showing controls was not working


We also did some preparations for full Controller support, which will arive in a later patch.
