Patch 1.2 - CONTROLLERS

Hello pilots!

And this time a new update to work on that accessibility. The controllers is something I've been working on little by little but until now I haven't dedicated time to improve all the systems and have a good support. I will be making adjustments during the rest of the month, but this is the main work so far.

* Xbox Controller & Gamepads support.
* Revised Zoom IN/OUT.
* Increased safe time range from 120s - 180s (up to 3 minutes) - Normal Mode.
* Increased alert time range (30s-60s) - Normal Mode.
* In-game controls help (can be hidden from options). - Hints.
* Added configuration needed to move Universal Windows Platform.

Bug-fixes


* Removed old time management scripts.
* Removed old input system icons.

Patch 1.1 - SMUGGLERS AND WEAPONS

Hello pilots!

A new version just out of the oven. After the release of 1.0, I wanted to implement several pending adjustments that, due to lack of time, I couldn't add before. The smugglers are an element that has been in and out of the game until now. You will finally be able to trade in other sectors; for now they only offer new weapons, but over time they will have special discounts on various items.



- TIER 1,2,3,4 and 5 weapons added. Higher TIER weapons are to be found in distant sectors.



I've also added the precious rocks - we don't know what they're for yet, but they're there.

Enemy stations now have a health bar at the top to make it easier to see how much health they have left.

Patch 1.0 - Portals!

Hello pilots!

At last! After such a long time, version 1.0 is here. It's taken a while but along the way we did the Epic Games Store release and a lot of bug fixing. I'm pleased to say that we'll finally have the portals to travel between sectors, I'll be making improvements to the system over time. The Stalkers are active again to hunt you down and finally... Yes, finally... Achievements! 40 to be exact. I hope you enjoy the release and as always I'll be checking your feedback to fix issues.

Patch 0.9.3 - Linux Support

Hello pilots!

Another intermediate release before the portal launch. There were some nasty bugs when starting the game with space stations, and I’ve been working on a new loot system for asteroids, so I’m bringing it all here, along with a new list of supported languages.

Patch 0.9.2

Hello Pilots!

The first of many updates. After the release in EPIC GAMES, I had pending to align both releases to 0.9.2. Next will be to bring the portals to be able to travel between sectors.

Patch Notes:

  • Random generation of the environment in normal mode.
  • New material added, coal.
  • Multiple upgrades added to MAYHEM.
  • Neutral events for hits on turrets and enemy ships.
  • Enemies make use of their shields based on their level.
  • Removed old API AI.
  • Enemy balancing (Turrets and Ships are now slightly weaker at the start).
  • WIP: Hint system to tell the player what he should do at each point in the game.

The future of Space Battle

Hellooo Pilots!

It's been an interesting few months with the development of Space Battle and other goodies in the pipeline. After the release of the DLC and after much reflection, Space Battle will undergo a pivot in its initial approach. The game will no longer be free to play. The main reason for this is because the game has evolved a lot since its inception and although it resists to die, there is still a long way to go to continue updating and improving the game.

By this I mean that in the following months the game will continue to receive updates with content as well as the next update will include the portals between sectors, later I plan to finish the smugglers and some other surprises. Some of the updates will be evaluated depending on the audience and obviously your opinion.

A demo will be uploaded soon so that everyone can enjoy (for a limited time) the content of the game, this way it will be possible to continue to enjoy the game in a certain way.

Another factor to keep in mind is that you will have seen some movement on other platforms. These are going to get the same treatment as on Steam. All content will be uploaded in parallel so it will be up to you to decide where to play. As always you have the community and social media to react and comment. I'll be posting mainly from the Steam community and Twitter (aka X).

Patch 0.9 - DLC Mayhem is out!

Something is moving in deep space and you don't have your space station to help you anymore... The Mayhem DLC adds a new Bullet Hell style game mode where you will have to endure as many waves as possible. It was planned for release on June 10th but I'd rather have feedback soon so I can work out the kinks.

There are still some details to polish and improvements that will be applied to the base game as well as the DLC. I don't want to publish a roadmap with all the changes but I can say that soon the game will be available in the EPIC GAMES STORE and I will be busy making the necessary modifications as well as upgrading to Unity 6, so patches will be common.

Although I mention it in the DLC description itself I will mention again that purchasing the DLC is completely optional. I wanted to investigate the process involved in making DLC, the technical and bureaucratic aspects. On the other hand, it is impossible to improve the content of indie games without funding, so with the purchase of the DLC you are helping to maintain the game and future games, which I anticipate, there are little things prepared, once again thanks for joining me in the space adventures.

0.6.5 Update Notes

Too much time has passed... I'm back with news.

It has been a few months since the launch of Space Battle and I have been able to retrieve feedback from all of you. After reading the reviews I have decided to support the game.
I will be working on a series of updates focused on the game's performance and gameplay. I want to give a longer experience.

I hope this will be the first update of many.
