This one is a bit late as I wanted to sort out a couple of bugs in the Year 1 and Year 2 updates first, but here it is!
Please note that since this update overhauls many of the game's maps, it may have incompatibility issues with some existing save files. This is more likely to happen with smaller interior maps. If this affects you, then you can roll back to the previous version by right-clicking on the game in your Steam library and then clicking Properties. From the "Betas" tab, select "previous - Version 1.0b".
Here are the changes in this version:
Dozens of new character faces and expressions, for major and minor characters alike!
A new interface featuring graphics for the various interactions with the environment! Look at it! Take it! Use it! Talk to it!
An interactive map for when you're moving around the academy, which changes and develops as certain events take place in the story!
Larger graphics! Some players had complained that the characters and objects in the environment were too small, so the size of the character sprites and tiles have been increased by 50%.
Lots of little fixes and improvements! The stars now move when you're on a traveling spaceship. When you save your game, it will now show what stage of the story you were at. There's also an exit button on the title screen - especially useful for those who prefer playing in full-screen mode. There's also a fix for a rare graphics rendering bug in the engine which could cause random freezes.
Please let me know if you experience any problems with this update. The final one, for Space Pilgrim Academy: Reunion, should be coming in the next week or two!

Fame is a tricky business. You were all set to be the next big star in Hollywood until you got all tangled up in a chilling murder mystery. Can you solve the case while also delivering the performance of a lifetime?
“The Deed II is a very complex game with a lot of different variables and possible outcomes. We feel that actively involving a large number of players in its development will help us to achieve its fullest potential.”
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“The game will already be fully playable when entering early access, though it is likely to have a few bugs or inconsistencies in its present state. It already contains all of the features that are listed on the store page. Refer to the "About This Game" section for more details.”
