we've just released our second big patch! This update consists of a major performance overhaul, so now the game should run much smoother on all systems.
The next updates will address additions to our game's features, including motion controls, HOTAS support, and much more!

Patch Notes - v. 1.1
Hello everyone,
the first big patch is uploading right now onto the servers! Here's the list of what we have been able to fix during the first days after release!
Bugfixes
Added the Oculus SDK as launch option
Improved Performance
(Ongoing) corrections in localization and subtitles
Correct implementation & effect of Laser Flak Weapon
Added missing Junk Part Texture in Sector 1
Sped up animations of Points of Interest in Station
Improved Asteroid spawning in Sector 4
Disabled multiple mining of same asteroid
Fixed movement of Barker enemies
Added Sound Effects to a certain moment in Sector 5
Animated an opened hatch
Player ships are now seen on the sightseeing platform
Edited dialog before cutting open the storage in sector 3 to better reflect what’s happening
Optional Objective now animated away when completed
Repositioned EMP Shield and Repair Gel icons to obstruct less of player view
Laser Cutter and Drill now show “Out of Range” when player ship is too far away
Laser Cutter now leaves a trace after being disrupted by approaching enemies
Added option to enable/disable subtitles for everything but intercom dialog
Fixed bugs concerning the loading screen in the main menu
Lots of small things not worthy of being mentioned here
Balancing
Enemy shots are now slightly bigger
Repair Gel now works faster, but takes longer to engage

Demo Version & Name Change
Hello everyone!
We have just released the demo version for Space Rift! We really hope this will enable more people to try out the game and see if they like the experience before buying.
We’re also working hard on the first big patch, fixing a lot of little issues throughout the game, improving performance, etc. That should be available within a few days.
Additionally, as a result of the feedback we got in our first week of release, we have decided to rename the game to “Space Rift - Episode 1” for reasons better detailed in this thread:
Thanks to your feedback, we are already working on patches and improvements for the game, and hope that we can include all of your cool ideas into the game!
Please keep the reviews coming, they really help see our game from a different perspective.

Space Rift Release Date
Hello everyone!
We are very excited to announce the release of SPACE RIFT:
AUGUST 2
That's only five days away!
We missed the goal of a July release by just a few days, but considering the delays of certain other Space Game projects around, that's not even half bad ;-)
The full price is going to be set at USD/ EUR 19,99 (GBP 14,99). So make sure to set some money aside during the upcoming VR sale this weekend (We're lucky - we don't have to pay for Space Rift and can buy aaallll the games!)
It's been quite the effort to push this to the finish line but we're so close now!
We really hope you enjoy the game as much as we have during development.
