I was adding gamepad support to the original SS3D, but that didn't work out very well so it turned into this instead. I hope you'll have fun playing!

Hello!
This started as just a small gamepad support update, that quickly got out of hand. It's not really the same game anymore, I think it's better and hopefully more fun.

You can try it by selecting the 3.5 test thing when you launch the game, it's not finished but it's pretty close, just need to make the last boss fight/ending and polish/balance. Planning to get it done before xmas. This works with a 360 style gamepad, I ended up using all buttons except the dpad, might have gone a bit overboard.

Anyway, it would be fun if you played it and left comments so I can fix things. It's late and I'm going to bed but I'll fix bugs in the morning.

Remember that update I mentioned a month ago? You probably noticed that it isn't out yet, sorry about that. I'm changing a lot more things than I thought I would (and I haven't been as productive as I wanted). I'm planning to finish it in June, I'll be juggling a real job too but I'll do my best.

Footage and test branch soon.

Tested on Ubuntu 15.10 and Manjaro 16.02 not supporting SteamOS.

KNOWN ISSUES;


Unfortunately unity3d doesn't seem to play nice with the AMD fglrx proprietary drivers, at least not with my old card. It works with the xorg drivers but performance is pretty "eh."

If you got this or any other issue feel free to bother me in the discussions and I'll check it out.

Working on a content update next, planning to release that in two weeks.

Just a tiny update.

  • Added camera invertion toggle, y axis.
  • Fixed exiting settings menu putting you in the wrong place (after world snake).
  • Fixed player getting stuck on finalstar intro.
