Launch Update 1.0

After over 6 months of early access we're launching into 1.0! The feedback has been great and we've made some pretty big changes to the game in that time. Thanks to all who participated in the early access release.

Look out for more ghosts, more items, and some other little surprises in the 1.0 version of the game. We're excited to see everyone get a chance to play it!

The False King - Update 0.5.2

All bow to the mighty (and jiggly) False King! A new big boss is in town and he doesn't want to give up the Mask of Okeem so easily. Good luck!

Changes:

  • The False King must be defeated to acquire the Mask of Okeem
  • Fixed a bug with the UI displaying incorrectly in the chambers

Spectral Chambers - Update 0.2.6

What is that eerie glow emanating from behind the bookcase? Could there be secrets hidden there? If only I could find a way to access it, there must be a clue around here somewhere. This tower holds more strange artifacts then I thought...

Winter Wonderland - Update 0.1.70

'Twas the night before Christmas when all through the tower
Countless ghosts were stirring, charging up their spooky power...

A little holiday cheer is coming to Weirdwood!

Changes:

  • Festive decorations put up
  • Special holiday gift with new AoE mechanic
  • Ghost attack tweaked on laser eyes
  • New Christmas challenge added
  • Procedural generation tweaked to prevent wall objects getting hidden
  • Bug fix: relic challenge audio fixed

Relic Challenges - Update 0.1.50

Mysterious statues are appearing in the haunted tower.
These relics of Weirdwood seem to contain a spectral energy.
But how curious that they seem to present a challenge?
What rewards or dangers might they bring?

Changes:

  • Relics are appearing around the tower
  • Totems no longer require challenges
  • SteamVR Oculus Touch bindings added (native Oculus support still the default for Rift)
  • the Halloween festivities seem to have moved on
  • New collectable green fragments (what could these be for?)

Balance:
- blaster capacity gives more energy
- more lit candles on later floors

Fixes:
- (Vive) Strafing no longer causes blaster beam to stay shifted off-center
