After iOS 16 release Spectromancer became unplayable and broken on iPad tablets. Finally, the game is repaired and updated, so now it works as it should!
Chinese version crash fixed
Fixed crash issue on game load when Chinese language is selected.
Custom DRM removed.
We have removed our custom activation-based DRM. Forget about activation codes - you no longer need them. And it doesn't depend on the game server anymore. All the game features are available from start.
In addition, the game has been improved to work correctly on high DPI screens (like 4K monitors) in full screen mode.
P.S. This update applies to the latest version of the game: Gathering of Power. Old versions are not modified.
Server down on DEC 28-29
Unfortunately there was a problem with the game server and it was down on DEC 28-29. Now it should work fine. Sorry for the inconvenience!
The Secret of Card Revealed by Kealah
Kealah is an expert on the game rules, he knows all the nuances of game mechanics. That's why he can show and explain why Spectromancer is so unique and brilliant game!
New languages: Portuguese (Brazil) and Simplified Chinese
The game is now available in Portuguese (Brazil) language: many thanks to Úillis Rafael who made this translation patch. Older Simplified Chinese translation is also made available for Steam users.
Both language patches are made for the latest "Spectromancer: Gathering of Power" edition, so "Gathering of Power" DLC is required.
Astral Towers released on Steam for the first time
Astral Towers is a card game with "one turn - one action" mechanic - like Spectromancer. But this is mostly an adventure game: there are 89 missions at 2 difficulty levels.
The original game was made in 2011. It was English-only and designed for 1366x768 screen resolution, so it doesn't look great in full screen. Now the remastered edition has improved graphics designed for up to 4K screen resolution.
The game engine behind Spectromancer and Astral Heroes games is made open source and published at GitHub: https://github.com/Cooler2/ApusGameEngine
I've also published source code of some demo projects including Astral Heroes website, game backup/analytics tool, game auto-updater. They're available at the GitHub too: https://github.com/Cooler2/ApusEngineExamples
This became possible because of support I've got at Patreon. Now we're very close to the second goal: the source code of the Astral Heroes game server will be published. You're welcome to support this development - just become a patron to make this happen: https://www.patreon.com/ApusGameEngine
