Its been a while since I posted anything here, sorry for that! I want to be transparent and announce that there will likely not be any new content coming to Spell Defenders. I have worked on a few things that I want to add to the game but im a bit burnt so I cant promise it will ever get released.
I have found it hard to handle a full-time job, my social life, and Spell Defender all at the same time. And sadly Spell Defender have been my lowest priority. I have had a ton of fun working on the game and I am very proud of what I have accomplished and seeing so many people enjoy Spell Defender makes me super happy.

Island and Performance Update!
Hello there!
This new update will focus on performance and a new arena! I have changed some settings and optimized a lot of the game so hopefully it will not hog 90% GPU anymore :)
Island Arena
This new Arena is smaller than the previous ones and it has less enemies, but they are stronger and deal WAY more damage.
Change Basic Punch
There is now an option to reroll basic attack to any other passive or spell. This is quite fun to play around with I think.
Balance
Life regen and Life siphon has gotten a heavy nerf. I saw that it was quite easy to get a lot of regen and it was not hard to obtain AFK builds. With this change it will be a bit harder :)
Earth boulder nerfed a lot and other underperforming spells got some buffs.
Bugs and QOL
As always a lot of tiny bugs and QOL stuff has been fixed as well so the game will be a better experience now :)
Spells Update!
Hello all!
This new update contains 10 new spells, Endless checkbox for all levels and difficulties, Artifact drops and unlearn spell drops, and much more!
Patch notes!!!!!
Spells!
Added 6 new actives and 4 new passives
balanced and optimized many other spells and level 10 upgrades
Leveling a spell from 9-10 now has custom text that explains the level 10 upgrade.
New difficulty levels and endless toggle!
Added an enemy strenght slider. You can now make game harder or easier!
Added endless toggle option. can be used for all modes!
Drops!
Added artifact drop which gives a strong buff but with a drawback!
Added reroll drop that lets you unlearn a spell and choose a new one!
Bugs and QOL!
Black goo now reduce all healing by 80% instead of 100%.
Meta Enhancement upgrades now go to level 7 instead of 5.
There is a big chance I have missed some changes since I do a lot of stuff and sometimes forget but lets just call those "hidden changes" :D
Minor bug fixes!
Fixed some minor bugs with UI Fixed Fields Master Speedrunner achievement was not possible to obtain. Added text that shows limit to stats.
The Fields Update!

The Fields is the a new Arena and the focus of this update! The Fields has a different gamemode. Similar to other Survivors-like. constantly oncoming enemies, enemies drop Coins that need to be picked up and so on. Hope you enjoy!

Frost Orbit - Buffed Damage
Wind Vacuum - nerfed Cooldown
Heat Beams - Buffed Damage and Optimized
Skills that have been mastered (level 10) now have a permanent visual indication.
New difficulty level!
A fourth difficulty has been discovered! Enemies are harder than ever and there is no end in sight.
Bugs!
Fixed spell meta upgrades acting weird and resetting on restarts.
Some spells have better logic with illusions.
Knockback and knockup now works properly. Sometimes didn't apply correctly
And many other various minor QOL stuff.

Breakdown
So lets break this down: It seems in general almost all of these features is something we want to add to the game. I also think a lot of these features go hand in hand with eachother and believe that they make each other better together. Cosmetics is the only thing that was a bit controversial, some really want and some really dont care.
What to focus on?
So I have decided to pretty much focus on all of these things. The next update will feature a new game-mode, a new arena, a new boss type, and many small bug fixes and balance changes. I will see if I can also smack in some new spells but I might want to save that for a future spell and passive update where I dump a ton of new spells.

Spell Defender Next Fest Stream!
Spell Defender is a 3D, Third-Person, wave defence, survival Roguelite. In this livesteam I will show of some features and try to complete a few challenges!

Steam Next Fest Demo Patch!
In Preperation of the Next Fest I have updated some things in the Demo.
Top-Down mode
There is now an option to choose Top-Down when selecting difficulty. This will make the camera top down and game will have twin-stick controls.
New pickup
Added a new pickup that will boost all stats for a short duration
Controller Support (kinda)
Added controller support for in-game. The menu does not support controller but gameplay does.
Bugs, balancing, performance, and other goodie stuff
Balanced some waves that were way too hard. Bosses can no longer spawn infinite minions that tank FPS. Added short descriptions when a new enemy type is encountered.
