New Permanent Upgrades / Enemy Spawn Change
The Expel mechanic changes how you interact with demon spawns. Instead of taking a hit because a demon spawned too close to you, now you will be rewarded with bonus experience.
Permanent Upgrade: Expulsion This upgrade causes demons to be Expelled when you touch their spawn notification, teleporting them away and dropping an Experience gem.
Strong enemies now have larger and differently colored spawn notifications.
You can now also purchase two points of +13% Demon Spawn Warning Duration in the upgrades menu.
Astrid's Time Dilation passive now grants +50% Demon Spawn Warning Duration
Spawn notifications now have a different animation instead of flashing.
You might want to turn off Damage Numbers if you are focusing on Expel a lot, to make it easier to see.
Ultimatum
You can now earn greater rewards using the Ultimatum system. Increasing the Ultimatum amount at a Corrupted Shrine will Spawn another shrine with increased rewards and difficulty, but enemy damage is permanently multiplied by +7% and yours by -7%.
Each step in an Ultimatum is harder & longer than the previous, and new Corrupted Shrines that spawn during it will become a part of your current Ultimatum. The Ultimatum ends when you choose an Arcane Upgrade.
Ultimatums will reward you with Charms, Demons, Astral Flowers, and Upgrade Chests, as well as a large amount of recovery orbs. The rewards are weighted towards Charms and Demon Chests.
Illegal Spell Selection
You can now choose what spell you want to replace when taking an Illegal Spell at the Smuggler's Shrine.
Treasure Upgrade Auto-Confirm
You can now enable an option that automatically skips treasure chest upgrade interfaces. A notification will be shown below your spells instead.
Rampage
Rampage is a new effect that grants +1.3% damage and +0.7% Movement Speed per stack (Max: 100). Drains rapidly if you haven't gained any Rampage recently.
The time it takes before Rampage begins draining is extended if you gain multiple stacks at once.
Changes & Fixes
De-Yandere'd a bunch of the stat calculation code.
Damage values over 1 million on stat displays are now shortened like "584.23m".
More spell info is now shown on the pause screen.
The Demon Summoning screen has been reorganized.
The description for spell ugprades above level 10 has been changed to "Base Damage +10%" instead of "Spell Damage Multiplier +10%". This is only a text change, the mechanic itself has not been changed.
Breaking the spell limit with Overlevel now shows the over-limit spell on the HUD.
The Overlevel button now displays the Overlevel tooltip.
Fixed an issue where Vella would only be unlocked if the spell you had 4 copies of had one of its copies in the first spell slot.
Fixed an issue where Time Splicer's damage bonus was only applying in increments of 100%.
Fixed an issue where Elite demon armor scaling was not working properly.
Fixed an issue where Goblin's demon equip bonuses were not being applied.
Fixed an issue where spawn notifications could spawn very far offscreen.
Fixed an issue where Sigma Stance's description said 33% instead of 30% (this is only a text change, the effect itself has not been changed).

Unbinding cap reduced from 2 to 1. This Aura was contributing too much towards reaching the Dodge cap, but the individual levels do not need to be reduced in power. This makes room for more of this stat in other places.

July 12 Update
Charms
Charm chests now let you choose between 2 charms, instead of giving you a random one.
Charms now drop more often, and the drop rate difference between the 3 maps is now less severe.
Gamble Changes
Gambling at the Smuggler Shrine no longer gives a chance to gain Astral Flowers. It now always drops a random kind of reward, and between 7 and 13 recovery orbs. It no longer costs Astral Flowers.

Corrupted Shrines
There are now 5 different types of Corrupted Shrines:
Spell Slinger: Fires projectiles at the player.
Chilling: Reduces how fast you can move (does not affect actual stats).
Recovery Jammer: Reduced HP / Shield / Mana Recovery (does not affect actual stats).
Horde: Greatly increases Demon Spawn Rate.
Ambush: All demons spawn from spawn warnings.
Other Changes and Fixes
The default dash distance on enemies has been reduced by 20%.
Hellhound's Stasis effect is now +77% Move Speed instead of +77% Move Speed Multiplier.
Reduced the player's maximum controllable movement speed (does not affect stats)
Fixed an issue where some descriptions that were displaying localization tags instead of text.
Fixed an issue where Bounty Hunter's mutation was showing the description of Acrobatics' mutation.
Quality of Life Improvements, and Buffs! [July 11 Update]
July 11 Update
Quality of Life Improvements
Global bonuses from spells are now shown in gold to make them easier to notice. NOTE: Global bonuses are kept for the rest of the run, even if the spell is replaced or lost.
You can now access the Demon Summoning menu from the Compendium, including during a run (but you can't modify demons during a run).
Tooltips now work in menus, and some missing tooltips have been added.
Keyword tooltips have been added for Recovery Orb, Demon Summoning, Demonic Choker, Global Bonus, and Extra Stat.
There is now a compendium section for Keywords.
Spell Changes
Illegal spells now gain 1 bonus level when learned. NOTE: Remember that you always keep Global Bonuses. When Illegal spells are auto-levelled on learning them, it includes their level 6 Global Bonuses. This means you can get them more than once by switching an illegal spell back and forth, or build up a variety of bonuses by transforming across many diferrent spells.
Meltdown's armor reduction aura boosted from -2 to -7.
Meltdown's level effect now grants a global bonus of -7 Armor to demons within your Light Radius, instead of setting the armor reduction aura to -13.
Throne of Darkness level 6 bonus changed from "Demons in Spell Area are Slowed" to "Effect against demons in your Light Radius: Movement speed -13 (Global Bonus)".
Blood Spark now grants "Recovery Orb Drop Rate +25% (Global Bonus)" at level 6.
Toxic Blizzard now grants "Illegal Spell Damage Multiplier +25% (Global Bonus)" at level 6.
Shrinkage now grants "Damage Reduction applied to Freeze Duration: +50% (Global Bonus)" at level 6
Indra's Sigil now gains 1 secondary projectile per 50% Crit instead of per 100%.
Thunderswarm's Base Damage per Chain increased from 3 to 5.
Thunderswarm's Global Base Damage per Projectile at level 10 increased from +1 to +2.
Other Changes and fixes
Strong Hellhounds (the ones that dash) are now slowed more when Frozen. The description of Freeze has been changed to be more accurate to how it actually works (it is a slow that can hit 100%, not a binary can/can't move).
Fixed a crash and performance hit caused by too many treasure chests being onscreen at once.
Pickup Range and Knockback have had their positions corrected on the stat display
New achievements for the recent added content will be coming in a future update!
Pierce demons with an electric wave. Calls a mighty Lightning Bolt whenever it chains or finishes travelling, dealing 200% damage.
Evolution: Arc Rift
Evolved Volt Surge. Creates shocked areas that slow demons and reduce their Armor by -3. Shocked areas trigger Lightning Bolts when they expire. Level 10: All shrines also grant: Damage +5%
Spell Changes:
- Chaos Orb and Dimension Bringer have had their base damage increased, and travel speed reduced. - Chaos Orb and Dimension Bringer now change their direction to match your aiming direction when they teleport after going offscreen. - Dimension Bringer now periodically Freezes all demons inside of it. - Fixed an issue where Dimension Bringer's inner orb had a much smaller hitbox than intended.
Other Changes:
- The Oblivion modifiers that slow down Banishing and Rerolling have been changed to -30% exp loss per point instead of -40%. - A new song by Valeriy Baryshev has been created for the game. It plays second in the combat playlist. More original music will be coming in the future!

Starting Stats: Light Radius +20%, Max Mana +1
Passive 1: Elden Gaze
Demons in your Light Radius lose 1 Armor per character level. Reduces the Freeze resistance of strong demons.
Passive 2: Phase Cast
Gain +1 Pierce per Max Mana.
Starting Spell: Chaos Orb
Launches a single slow orb with an attached Shrine area that damages demons. Demons in the area trigger random elemental effects on death.
Evolution: Dimension Bringer
Evolved Chaos Orb. Projectiles from other spells have a chance to fire from the orb's location instead, adding +1 Chain for each active Dimension Bringer. Level 10: Demons in your Light Radius trigger random elemental effects on death.
Meteor
Call a rain of meteors that create patches of burning ground.
Evolution: Starfall
Evolved Meteor. Projectile amount is increased by double your Max Mana. Level 10: Demons on Burning Ground have +20% chance to Explode on death.

Vella
"I'll eat you alive!" Unlock Requirement: Finish a run with 4 copies of the same spell at level 10.
Starting Spell: Domination Carves up nearby demons. Elites that have been hit with Domination are summoned on death, boosting your power. 20% of Choker effects apply to demons summoned this way. Evolves into Apex Predator.
Starting Bonus: Orb Recovery Effect +20%, Damage Multiplier vs Elites +7% (See Health & Mana Orbs section further in the update)
Passive 1: Berserk - You deal 1.5x damage. Max Spell Limit -2. Passive 2: Madness - When Elite demons are spawned, spawn an additional one.
The final spellbook Enigma will be coming in the next update, along with a bunch of new spells!
Demon Summoning
Summon demons, trapping them inside of a Shrine to massively boost your power!
Upgrades > Unlock "Corruption"
Win a run with at least 7 Corruption to unlock Demon Summoning! Reaching 46 Corruption will get you 7 demons at a time. You don't need to maintain a Corruption level to keep the unlocked Demon slots
Find Red Demon Chests to unlock more Demons Mainly drops during overtime
Level up demons to increase passive stats and summon duration Level up demons using Astral Flowers, or by summoning them if you successfully finish a run.
Find Demonic Equipment Equipment such as Demonic Chokers can be equipped into demon slots.
Find Overdrive Chips to limit break demons beyond level 100!
Drop rates are higher in the main game than they were in Beta.
Corruption Difficulty Scaling
Complete a game with Max Corruption to increase the Corruption limit
Each Corruption grants enemies +1% Damage, +2% Protection, -1% Knockback
Each Corruption level also increases the Score Multiplier by 5%.
Corruption increases the Demon Chest drop rate
Oblivion Modifiers and Charms
Oblivion difficulty options are unlocked after surviving for 20 minutes with 77 Malice
This is a new set of advanced difficulty options that massively increases the available challenge.
Increasing Oblivion allows higher rarity Charms to drop. You can equip 3 Charms.
To get Voidslayer rarity charms, you need to stack Malice and Oblivion.
Dashing Enemies
Certain enemies will now dash towards you to close the gap. The overall difficulty of enemy projectiles has been toned down to make room for more types of enemy behavior.
The "Hasted" elite modifier has been renamed to "Drifter", and now also allows the buffed elite demon to dash at you. Demons can shoot you while they're dashing, so make sure you watch out for dangerous combinations!
Enemy Spawn Notifications
Enemies can now also spawn directly onto the map, instead of only from offscreen. A quick warning will show you where enemies are going to appear.
Increasing your Light Radius will make demons spawn further away from you.
Health & Mana Orb Drops
Stronger enemies now drop orbs that refill your Health and Mana! This recovery is instant and is not considered Regeneration.
Spellbook Passive Buffs
Most spellbooks have been buffed in ways that allow them to scale further into endgame, or reach it more reliably.
Tammy
ːsteamthisː Passive 1: Adds a +7% Critical Multiplier bonus onto every Shrine, which improves with Buff Effect. Particularly good with String of Ears! ːsteamthisː Passive 2: Now also adds a 13% chance to get 3 upgrades from treasure chests. There is also a summonable demon that allows you to spawn treasure chests, working nicely with this effect.
Speare
ːsteamthisː Speare is stronger than you'd think on first glance, but is missing a bit of juice and early game. Her starter bonus has been upgraded to also have Spell Projectile Amount +1.
Wolfe
ːsteamthisː Passive 2: Now also reduces Aura Evolution level requirement by 25%.
Jeane
ːsteamthisː Passive 1: Now grants a 7% HP bonus per revive instead of flat +7 HP. ːsteamthisː Passive 2: Now also adds a 50% chance to duplicate buffs stolen from Elites.
Astrid
ːsteamthisː Passive 1: This passive gives +3% damage for each Astral Flower gained. This has been indirectly buffed because you gain Astral Flowers at a much faster pace in this update.
Berry
ːsteamthisː Passive 1: Chance to remain at the same level on levelup increased from 10% to 13%. ːsteamthisː Passive 2: Buff effect per collected treasure chest increased from 2% to 3%. It is also now possible to spawn more treasure chests than before due to Demon Summoning.

Ashes of Jordan
All Spells gain +1 Level, Experience Gain +13%. New: Also grants Health Reservation -13%. This is a NEGATIVE health reservation value: It can undo existing reservation or increase your recovery limit beyond 100%, letting you overfill your HP.
Petrified Blood
Old: When you lose HP, the amount is reduced by % equal to your Reserved HP, to a max of -50%. New: When you lose HP, the amount is reduced by % equal to your Reserved HP, to a max of -75%.
Old: Energy Shield Recharge is not interrupted by damage, but cannot recharge Energy Shield above 70%. New: Energy Shield Recharge is not interrupted by damage, but cannot recharge Energy Shield above 80%.
Bare Skin
Energy Shield Recharge instead applies to HP, based on your Max HP. Old: Regeneration Multiplier -50%. New: Regeneration Multiplier -40%.
Chained Projectile Buff
Most projectiles can now naturally chain off of the air, allowing chain to be used more easily alongside pierce. Chained hits travel further if they chain off a demon instead of the air.
