Six months after its official release, Spellweaver finally gets its first expansion of 115 cards!
Since the expansion is released during the Valiant Dawn season, all new cards are added to the original Valiant Dawn set. Expansion number one brings you 7 new card mechanics (read more here), 6 new hero skills obtainable through a skill shrine, and something many of you craved for - MULTI-ASPECT CARDS!
Getting the New Cards
You can acquire all of the new cards from Normal Packs, Small Packs, Good/Evil Packs and Premium Packs. That is true even if you already had the packs in your collection before the expansion was released! We are also adding a new type of packs - the Valiant Dawn Expansion Packs. They are an exclusive item that will only contain cards from the new expansion.
A New Heroic Card Rarity
You will notice a new card attribute as well. We are introducing a new card rarity - Heroic. All heroes will now belong to the Heroic rarity, but it is not limited to only hero cards. For example, the Heroic rarity includes the multi-aspect cards from the expansion.

First Spellweaver Expansion Is On The Horizon
Spellweavers,
we know you’ve been waiting long time for this moment to come. The dev team has been working diligently for months to produce new content and to answer your call. The big wait will soon be over!
The first Spellweaver expansion will be released in July, 2016!
It will consist of 110 cards distributed between all six Aspects. Since the expansion is released during the Valiant Dawn season, all new cards will be added to the original Valiant Dawn set. Expansion number one will bring you 3 new mechanics, 6 new Hero Skills obtainable through a Skill Shrine, new creature types (plus old creature types appearing in unusual Aspects) and a big surprise nobody expects!
As a prelude to the big release we will have a number of exclusive sneak peaks we call Secret Card Releases. Starting June 21st, 3 or more Secret Cards will be introduced each Tuesday. These cards will be added to all Packs (Small Packs, Normal Packs, Premium Packs, Good & Evil Packs), but won’t be available for crafting and competitive play (Tournaments and Ranked) for the period of a week after their release.
We hope the Secret Cards will generate the positive hype Spellweaver’s first expansion deserves. This approach will also help us not to disrupt the competitive environment.

Masters Championship Final #1 – The Outcome
The first Spellweaver Masters Championship Final was successfully held on 05.06.2016!
It was won by the rising Spellweaver star William Speers a.k.a Peacekeepr! He dominated all of the four rounds and took home $860 out of the
$2866 prize pool
The first Masters Championship Final matched together the best Spellweaver players in recent times, while some famous guests joined in for the thrill of the battle. There were 10 Golden Tickets won via the May Monthly Rating Race (ssslock, PewQ, wh1sp, Lirysse, Jotto, Lorenthiel, _KK_, IcePunk, JohnnyV, Cruel_Tek) and 3 Golden Tickets were acquired trough Qualifier tournaments (Peacekeepr, Belarion, Balduin). 3 Wildcards were given to famous and exciting card game players that also competed in Spellweaver PIONEERS (AKAWonder, Xixo, MrScottyMac).
Peacekeepr, one of the chief culprits for the state of the current meta, played with a lot of confidence and skill and deservedly won the 1st place. JohnyV and IcePunk were the pleasant surprises and impressed with their performances, while fans’ favorite Jotto was let down by his OTH deck. Special mention goes to ssslock who undoubtedly brought up the most interesting decks in the tournament. Hearthstone champion AKAWonder played really well but had a terrible stroke of bad luck, while Magic: the Gathering celebrity MrScottyMac was able to gain an honorable win at the end. Xixo did the same as well, after he had to forfeit the first two rounds because of bad scheduling.

Spellweaver PIONEERS – The Outcome
Spellweaver PIONEERS is now in the past!
The first ever official Spellweaver tournament was a glorious celebration of the game. 16 high ranked Hearthstone and Magic: the Gathering champions met each other in an epic Spellweaver clash!
Two players from the original lineup dropped (P4whnyhof, Vlps) in the last moment, but amazingly enough we were able to find substitutions. On top of that there were no servers crashes, no technical issues, no bugs!
More than ten Twitch.tv streams were live during the tournament, including the Noxious one and SpellweaverOfficial hosted by The Fuzz and Boltor. Speaking of hosts, all of them did a great job commenting on the games and building the entertaining and intense atmosphere.
Ekop won the tournament without losing even one game, but there were many other formidable performances. Xixo was stellar, while Dart_HS, C4mlann and DTwo played really well. StanCifka and pvddr, who were considered favorites before the start, didn’t manage to get to 3 wins, but were part of some of the most interesting moments. Special mention goes to Hotform, who was the only competitor brave enough to play his own original out of the meta decks.

Spellweaver PIONEERS Invitational Tournament
We have invited a very special blend of 16 high profile Hearthstone and Magic: the Gathering players and champions to compete in this first of its kind event. We believe the tournament will spark great interest and bring many new players to the battlefields of Asperia. We also hope it will give the gaming community a hint to Spellweaver’s huge competitive scene potential.
The date is set for 20th of March, 2016. Starting time will be 19:00 CET / 18:00 GMT.
The match format will be Conquest (2 out of 3) and players will battle in 4 rounds of a Swiss system tournament.
There is a real money prize pool – currently set to 5000$ (five thousand US Dollars).
Famous entertainer and skilled card game player Noxious will be the host of the tournament.

Spellweaver Officially Released
The day has come. Spellweaver has been officially released!
Our 5-man team worked for endless hours more than 4 years to bring Spellweaver where it is now. But it was worth every minute!
After 5 months in Closed Beta, and then another 7 months in Open Beta. After more than 100 patch updates and thousands of fixed bugs. After more than 1 000 000 games played we are finally ready. Spellweaver is now complete enough to be brought into the gaming world, and to take the digital card game genre by storm!
Of course, there is no better way to do so, than a Steam launch!
By bringing Spellweaver to Steam we hope to be able to reach millions of cards game lovers and challenge them on the battlefields of Asperia.
Today we also mark the official start of the first Spellweaver Season – Valiant Dawn. The initial card set offers you 222 effective and potent cards, with 18 different unique Heroes among them. Valiant Dawn will be expanded by more cards, and single-player campaigns during the course of this year.
The team’s bold ambition has always been to have Spellweaver be an ever growing and long-lived card game. Our main focus remains on developing the features most desired by our players, working on new card expansions, and bringing you exciting events you can enjoy, while, of course, keeping the high quality level the game deserves.
