Investigating game crashing bug

Hello everyone,

We are aware that some (or all) of you are experiencing game crashes. With confirmation from many players on the Steam forum also, we are trying to find the source of the issue with hopes to resolve it as soon as possible.

While we are struggling to replicate the crashing issue at the present moment - with the game running on multiple machines at this present time, we have experienced two instances of a crash so far during the replication process. We are working hard to resolve the issue and are currently viewing all possibilities.

We would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused to those trying to play and hope to find a resolution soon.

We will try to keep you updated as and when we make any headway.

Happy Holidays from the Oovee team

Good day off-roaders,

As 2014 comes to a close - we would like to thank all of our fans for supporting us and would like to look back over the year. We have experienced good days and we have experienced hard days - while we can only wish for a walk in the park, we must face the truth that there will always challenges to contend with.

With the success of Spintires and further expansion of the game planned - we see that we couldn't have come this far without the support of all of you. Every day is a learning curve and every day is different - it is now that we should learn from the past so we can move successfully into the future.

Going forward into 2015, we look to see the release of mod support... a feature that has been patiently awaited by you all. Furthermore, both paid and free downloadable content will be makings it's way to you all, where new maps, trucks and game modes will be creating a longer playable life span to the game.

There is much to be enjoyed in 2015 and we hope that you will continue to support us on our journey, creating Spintires for you all to enjoy.

As it is that time of year to share good will and presents - as a Christmas present from everyone at Oovee Game Studios and IMGN.PRO, we are sharing with you a free map called 'The Pit'.

Before we leave to spend the holidays with our families, we would like to wish you all Happy holidays and a fantastic New Year!

DEV Update 29.10.14

Hi everyone,

Last night we opened up the experimental branch for you all to access updates and improvements that are currently in beta.

You can access the experimental version by doing the following:

Go to Library > Right-click Spintires > Properties > BETAS > Click drop down box > Select 'beta - Spintires Beta Build'

This will be update on a regular basis when a new build is available for testing.

DEV Update 27.10.14

Hello Everyone,

The update is now ready for download - boot up Steam and if you have the option selected for automatic download, Spintires will download on its own.

It has already been posted, but here is the list of items included in the update:

- Steering wheel support - Supports all steering wheels
- Bouncing rocks fixed
- Vehicle damage calculation more accurate (higher damage)
- Engine auto start when pressing accelerate
- "Engine stalling" progress bar looks changed
- ESC key (default game menu) can now be assigned/reassigned
- Analog Controller input

- Lobby buttons no longer grey out
- Ingame chat history and scroll
- Multiplayer inter-truck winch pulling improved
- Multiplayer trucks no longer fly through air when connecting

Not everything that was supposed to be in the update has been included - the reason is because some more work is required to finalize them.

Mod support has been postponed as the system that is being created for the core game is a bit more complex and it taking some more time than expected. It was decided to release the update without it rather than to postpone the entire update.

Information on the next update will be posted in due course, this will include the contents of the next update. We hope you will enjoy the new steering wheel support in the mean time.

DEV Update 22.10.14

Hello Off-roaders,

As some of you may have seen on the Oovee forum, the update has been pushed back by a few days - to a new date of Monday 27th October.

The main reason for the decision to delay the release of the update, was to allow for mod support to be implemented correctly and to ensure that it functions how it should.

We also have a little surprise for you all as well - the surprise is something that has been requested for quite some time, so some of you may know what it is - but we will see who gets it.

Happy off-roading everyone!

Dev Update 25.09.2014

Good afternoon Off-roaders,

A few days ago I mentioned in a topic on the Oovee forum that I would be releasing information and details of the next update after internal discussions.

But let us not dwell on what hasn't happened, let us focus on what is to come. Below you will find the list of what we can see in the up and coming update.

We would like to apologise for the delay, however, we are now back on track and able to bring you updates and more to the game in the future.

Hotfix 19.06.2014

Valued Customers,

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for purchasing and showing great interest in SPINTIRES, the response we have had has been overwhelming!

After reviewing and monitoring the issues reported, we are pleased to announce that a Hotfix is now available. This update fixes the following issue(s):

- Vehicle wheels becoming stuck under the map (described here http://www.oovee.co.uk/forum/topic/5963-wheels-can-stuck-under-the-map/)

We understand the importance of updating our platform and therefore we endeavour to provide regular updates. This is an example of a small bug fix, but we have plans for large scale updates in the coming week, including "camera" improvements (as largely requested).

Happy Offroading!

Oovee Game Studios.
