Developer Diary #2 - Region Introduction #1
Hey everyone!
We continue our Dev Diary series by introducing 3 of the 6 Regions in Spirit of the North 2!
Misthaven
A lonely landscape shrouded in mist. Hidden in this eerie region are the ruins of a tribe that revered the White Raven Guardian.
Mosswood
A vast forested region teeming with beauty and life. The people here were prosperous under the watchful care of the Stag Guardian.
Ashlands
A once peaceful volcanic region now lays desolate, filled with ruins of a tribe that worshiped the powerful Bear Guardian and chose to awaken him.
Each region has new runes, relics, Guardian Temples, scrolls, abilities and various mysterious encounters. There are many more areas you can look forward to exploring in Spirit of the North 2 which goes beyond the Nordic landscapes in the first Spirit of the North!

Developer Diary #1 - World Introduction
Hey everyone!
We're going to kick off a series of dev blog updates to give you more insight into the world of Spirit of the North and give some sneak peeks into what you'll have in store on the epic journey.
The Fox
In Spirit of the North 2, you step into the paws of an entirely new fox from the protagonist of the first game. Taking in feedback from the first game, the fox character has been completely rebuilt from the ground up, with an updated look and a newly designed movement.
The Raven
Joining you for this adventure is your new companion, Thought, a wise Raven who will help guide you on your journey and aid you in traversing this new world.
The World
Those who played the original Spirit of the North will be familiar with the icy Nordic-inspired landscapes they had to navigate. For Spirit of the North 2, we're going much bigger with the game world and sending players off to discover a variety of different regions, each with its own flavor featuring unique weather patterns.
Additionally, the move to Unreal Engine 5 has given us a range of tools to enhance the handcrafted world, bringing more detailed lighting and effects.
Abilities
Players will discover runes along the journey that they can equip to change appearance and grant them abilities.
Music
It wouldn't be a SOTN game without emotionally stirring music and immersive sound effects. This has been a major focus and our composer has truly elevated the experience of exploring the various landscapes.
We are excited for you to experience the beautiful journey of Spirit of the North 2.

Spirit of the North - Coming to Xbox Game Pass
Recently announced by Xbox, Spirit of the North is coming to Xbox Game Pass this December!
Alongside massive IPs like Far Cry and Tomb Raider in this month's selection of games, Spirit of the North will be available on Cloud + Console + PC GamePass on December 1st.
