Patch Notes 23rd February 2022

Refined the trailer mechanics, so it attaches to the hitch in the correct location, and detaches properly. I have also completely solved the trailer instability issues that caused jack-knifing and unhitching. The vehicle can now be driven at full speed, with the trailer attached, without any issues.

The flurry trailer now has 8 traps, mounted on a stepped shelf. 4 on the bottom shelf and 4 on the top. I have removed the wheeled bases and replaced them with flat plate bases, making their footprints more compact. This allows room for 8, as opposed to the previous 3.

Further improvements to the vehicle handling have been made. Hopefully it won’t need any further adjustment.

Fixed the mouse invert bug that resulted in the mouse being inverted by default, and being unable to change/save for some players. DELETING YOUR SAVE FILE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS FIX TO WORK PROPERLY. Save file is located at: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\SportShooter\Saved\SaveGames Delete the whole folder.

Done some environment optimization work. Gained back a few extra frames-per-second here and there.

Finished the stone wall material for the new buildings.

Reworked all of the trees and bushes in the game, for both performance and aesthetics. Made the trees look prettier and more performant.

Added a few more new trees.

Retextured a couple of rocks.

Added another couple of plants for ground cover.

Remade the collisions for the Olympic Trap bunkers, due to some clipping issues.

I have created three pine forests; two small and one large. These have populated a good chunk of the remaining landscape.

Finished the stand info boards on Sporting 2.

More new decorative props.

Patch Notes: 31st December 2021

Finished Olympic Trap Mechanics – Both singles and doubles are working as intended, with scoring. Singles releases a random trap from an array of 3, assigned to each station. Doubles uses the centre 3 traps only and fires a random pair on each call.

Added referee voice commands, indicating when a stand has been completed and to mark the end of a round. These have not been added to Sporting practice mode, allowing the player to replay the same stand multiple times.

Updated the navigation map to reflect the most recent changes to the landscape.

Fixed bug causing clay break FX to appear offset from the impact location.

Fixed bug resulting in clay sometimes failing to break upon being hit.

Finished the stand menu boards on Sporting 1.

Added a number of new prop models, for decoration.

Added more decoration to the Olympic Trap area.

Added bonus score increase on completion of round based games.

Added UI popup and sound effect for when the player levels up.

Fixed broken trigger on Sporting 2 competition mode. An oversight on my part.

Patch Notes 19th December 2021

•Resized key bindings menu page. Everything should fit the screen properly now.

•Added distance display to indoor range lanes. You can now set the target carrier distance without having to look at the target, to check its position. Range distance is in metres.

•Added 2560x1400 screen resolution.

•Fixed issue causing practice clay, called from the trap remote, to be added to the scoreboard. It got bypassed while working on something else and wasn’t re-enabled.

•Mud road and mud pathway meshes and materials finished and added to the map.
All gravel roads, mud roads and footpaths now have their new meshes and materials applied. This was a big job, due to the hand-editing needed to get the new meshes to sit correctly on the landscape. Some tweaking still needed, but most of it is done and I’m happy with the result.

•TV screens added for displaying tutorial videos. Seemed like the tutorial material would be best served in the form of video, viewed from the information/reception building. Video/mediaplayer is all set up and working. There is a placeholder video displayed currently.

•Two new pine trees added, to create a pine forest for some woodland games.

•Added another grass type, to add some variation to the grassed areas.

•Improved the handling of the vehicle (as much as is possible, for a vehicle with no suspension and a short wheelbase.)

•Populated the Olympic Trap area with trees, vegetation and a building, to store ammo.

•Populated 2/3 of the large empty area with woodland, roads and paths, ready for a multitude of game types. Lots of optimization was needed due to the large number of trees.

•Modelled another bridge, to replace the log bridge across the river. The log bridge looked a bit naff so it has been replaced with something more fitting.
