It's been a while since our last status report! (sorry! my fault!)
So we just want to tell you that we are still working on full throttle. Unfortunately we are still a small team in numbers so we can't produce as fast as we would want to. But hey, we are doing our best here!
Francisco, our lead programmer is rocket coding all the scripts needed to make bugs a little bit... smarter! Yes, I'm talking about AI!
And by AI you know what that means. Offline training vs AI controlled opponents is coming!
As you may know, this feature could take a little while to be implemented in the public branch. As soon as we have more info to share, we will let you know!

Status Report - 01-10-2015
Hello there!
Time for a Status Report!
Yes, we are moving in larger steps to a new update!
Yes, there will be bugs in it!
It's time to reveal to you the next Cyborg Bug that will join the roster!
Ladies and Gentleman...
I present to you...
The Darner Dragonfly!
Equipped with a Minigun as a primary weapon (or Mini-Minigun because...ahm....reasons) and Locking Missiles for a Special Attack this baby will be a terror for air assault!
Also, the flying maneuverability of this bug will be different from the rest, since this very insect can Hover and Strafe/Dodge while Hovering, like and Helicopter!
Also, there is a new map incoming!
The Living Room will be 2x bigger than the current map available!

Our programmers are also working on bug AI, so I believe you all know what is coming right? Right?
Yep! Its the Vs AI mode!
Although this is still on very early stage of development, now you can rest assured that there will be an Offline mode with bots.

Okay guys, so while we are working to release a new map in a very near future (more info about it will come in the next few days) we are proudly to announce a new game mode and other awesome stuff to make your experience even more... ehm.... Bugged (in a good way!) *ba dum tss*

Status Report - 28-07-2015
Hello!
Its been a while since a status report so be ready... this is going to be intense!
The next update will be deployed on the July 31! On that day I'll post a change log with everything that is new on the game as well as some bug fixes.
For now I just want to give you a sneak-peak of what we've been working on and that is going to be live this Friday!
To begin with we've been working on a more than an handful of updates and tweaks to the gameplay to give you an awesome bug free experience! (no puns intended :D ).
To begin with we've implemented a way to distinguish your teammates from your enemy without guessing who is who with the T (target). Nevertheless you will need to target your enemy for better aiming or to do some special attacks.
This is what it looks like:
Note that this font was influenced by the resolution and by no means represent what you are going to see when you update your game.
The next update also counts with the originally planned special attack of the Giant Hornet.
As we said in a post before, "Behead" is a melee "skill shot" where you dash to your enemy on full speed and instantly killing him if it hits in the right angle ( in the front of the target enemy). For this to work you need to target the one you want to well... behead!
You can also count on new power-ups!
Now you have the Heat sink, which dissipates heat and the Speed increase!
Bug description will also be available on the next update! With one click on the bug, you can see all the stats that he inherits.
And there is more! You just need to wait until the July 31 to check it out!
Trust me, it will be a blast! Or a Special Bug Cannon! Bah, I tried :(

Spy Bugs - Small Report 07/07/2015
Hello!
So our Concept Artist began the concepts for the next map, the Living Room!
In this map we are trying to eliminate the issue of the big open areas that we found while playing in the Room level.
This map will be bigger and more complex. This will open a window for kinds of strategies then the ones we can make in the current map.
Also, we are planning to improve the training mode and to introduce a small tutorial! What would you like to see as a tutorial?
Something fast like a video/images? Something playable? Both? Tell us in the comment section!

Spy Bugs - Status Report 01/07/2015
Status Report
Hello Spy Bugs players!
First of all we want to thank you for all the input and support you guys are giving to us! You guys are AMAZING!
With this, we are starting to make our roadmap based on your feedback and most wanted features!
First of all I want to state that we want to be as transparent as we could be. If there will be delays on the updates we will give you the reason why.
For now I ask you to keep in mind that we are just a 5 man team, with some of us having another job besides game development.
Our dream is to have everyone here working on full time and aim to be a greater studio always with the players in mind!
With Spy Bugs we want to show to you that Early Access is a viable option to make a game with the community's help and not a way to "trying to sell broken games". By no means we will halt Spy Bugs development, not now nor ever! Personally, as a Early Access buyer, I HATE when someone doesn't update its game that is still on Early Access. Those devs are a shame for the developers community!
After the full release we plan to support Spy Bugs as further as the community wants to play it. But its still too early to make that statements of what Spy Bugs will be after the full release because our roadmap can change a lot during the Early Access.
With that being said, lets just see what the future holds for us!
Right now, and with the help of some players we have identified some major bugs. Some are already fixed, others are being fixed:
Known Issues
- Some bugs land in mid air
- Sometimes when stuck, we can fall outside the level [FIXED Dev Branch]
- Xbox Controller bugs all the keys [Temporary Solution - Disconnect all the controllers and use Keyboard + Mouse]
- Sometimes the mouse cursor gets stuck on the screen after minimizing the game.
Right now this is all the bugs that we are aware of. If there is some others that aren't listed here please tell us via the discussions, Facebook message, etc...
What are we working on:
- The Living Room Map - [Concept Art]
- Battery Mechanics
- Giant Hornet Special Attack
- A way to distinguish team players from enemy's.
Now, just a quick FAQ:
Q: I'm not hitting my enemy's while I'm on third person camera! Is that a bug?
A: Nope! Use your T to target the enemy you want to engage. After that your crosshair knows that's the target you want to hit and it will center the shots to the middle. While on first person you don't have to do that since you have more precision on the shot.
Q: How regular you will release updates? A: Sometimes there are some minor bug fixes that we don't announce. Since we are only 5 guys to develop and to do stability tests we will just announce when we add major content or game changing. We are going to take all the time needed to ensure that there is nothing that could eventually break the game.
Q: What is the game mode we've been playing? A: Its called Info Retrieve! Kill enemy bugs and collect their black boxes (or memory sticks)! The team who collects more, wins!
Q: We see that you have an health power-up. There will be more right? A: Of course! The power-ups will be divided in minor and major and they will spawn randomly! Stay tuned for future updates in this matter.
