Developers blog. Entry 117 — “UMC Archives: Phantom frontier”


Pilots! We continue to share the latest features that will appear on the game servers in the upcoming updates!

The “UMC Archives: Phantom frontier” event



Soon, the next “UMC Archives” event will become available to all pilots. It will include a special battle pass, consisting of only one stage and lasting approximately one month. The event itself will run in parallel with the main battle pass “Forgotten stars” and will end in the beginning of December.

All pilots who complete the new “UMC Archives: Phantom frontier” event will be able to get a new Federation rank 17 tackler “Persei-8”, as well as the modules and weapons of this ship. And those who additionally buy pass packs will get additional bundles of resources, seed-chips and ammunition. You will be able to find them in most of the battle pass levels. We will share more details about the contents of the levels with you during the start of the event. The offer is limited in time and will be available until March 11.

New rank 16 ship “Persei-8”



With the start of the event, all pilots will have access to the new Federation tackler “Persei-8”.

The ship was originally designed as a light courier by the Undock Unlimited corporation, which it was for the next dozen years under the name “Persei”, until the blueprints were purchased by The Great Star Republic Security Service in 4623. The leadership felt that the ship had the potential to become something more than just high-speed transport.

Under the direction of Swartfarn Bert, a Doctor of Technology, the ship’s engine reactor and on-board electronic equipment complex were radically redesigned. Essentially all that remained of the old ship was the hull and engines, which were also subsequently boosted. An improved invisibility generator was chosen as a special module.

The “Persei-8” is now a dual-purpose ship. Still partially capable of carrying cargo, the ship is used to deliver ammunition and other critical supplies to combat sectors, and is often part of convoy security. The commanders of many pirate squadrons, who believed that the escorting “Persei-8” transports carried no weapons and posed no threat, made their last mistake by attacking these tacklers. Among other things, the ship has excelled in long-range expeditions to the frontiers of known space and scientific missions.

Currently, The Great Star Republic is providing “Persei-8” blueprints to the UMC forces for production in small batches. In the hands of mercenaries, this tackler is particularly dangerous, as it has a first-class weapon and suppression system, allowing it to fight not only light interceptors, but also ships of equal and higher weight categories.

The competitions will be held in the Pandora system, known for its anomalous zones. Those who can hold out in the anomaly the longest and remain alive will be included in the top list of Legionnaires of the fringe sectors! And the best will receive a special prize — the figurine “Last man standing”!

We live together, we die alone!

  • In the battle, each pilot only has to watch his own back.
  • The player can fly into battle on his ship, selected in the hangar before the start of the fight.
  • The spawn point is chosen randomly.
  • When the ship is destroyed, you can't take it into battle again.
  • The space available for flying gets smaller over time because of the anomaly.
  • Pilots can find temporary boosts on the map.
  • Your task is to stay alive as long as possible.

The brawl will be available to players from December 16 to January 13. Other brawls will be disabled for this period.
