United Mercenary Center traditionally launches special operation "Knowledge Day". Destroy enemies, pass useful information on flights to the Center and earn its respect!

Star Conflict 1.12.8а 10th anniversary!


Ten years ago, on September 4, 2014, Star Conflict was officially released. Since then, the project’s world has changed significantly. For ten years, pilots have been fighting each other in PvP, completing PvE missions, and exploring Open Space.

During this time, new fighters, frigates, and destroyers joined the lineup. New weapons and new modules were added. New locations were discovered.

Over the past year, pilots took part in a lot of interesting events. It all started with the event “Ancient instinct”, where pilots had to assemble the new Jericho tackler “Baphomet”. At the same time, the pilots had an opportunity to build the engineering ship “Mole”, engaged in bulk mining of asteroids in the expanses of the fringe sectors. Later on, the “Dream armada” returned to the game, allowing players to build special ships of rank 15 at an accelerated pace, and new players were given the opportunity to take possession of the destroyer “Brave”. All this was followed by the “Secrets of the Precursors” event, where players were invited to assemble the new engineering frigate “Salamander”. At the same time, a number of “Gathering clouds” story assignments became available in the open world. Then the game’s universe celebrated its 12th birthday, and Targem Games celebrated 22 years in business! In the spring of 2024, something that many had been awaiting for years happened: the continuation of the “green” ships branch. Players were able to build and explore the newest Ellydium command fighter “Yith’Mor” presented in a classic version: with full-fledged upgrade tree and configuration. The ship quickly gained popularity due to its unprecedented power, which was later somewhat tamed. The “Unknown horizons” event started next in the game, and pilots were given a new goal: to build a modern cover frigate “Shrike”, in which most of the pilots had already succeeded.

In addition to the main two-phase events, the game continued to feature UMC archives, which are single-phase events that run parallel to the main events. Receiving an increased number of xenochips, pilots were free to prioritize the available events: either quickly level up one of them, or invest evenly in both. The very first Archives event was “Contraband”, followed by “Survival”, where the command fighter “Hadrian” became available to pilots. After that, the UMC Archives event “Winterfair” was held in the game, featuring the brand new gunship fighter “Manul”. “Fire of Love” brought the ECM interceptor “Cor Vulnus” to the game. Perhaps the most curious specimen appeared with the “Forgotten battles” event, namely the gunship fighter “Bark-2”, which has both a peculiar appearance and unique characteristics. Finally, the “Echoes of the empires” event added the covert ops interceptor “Pilum” to the game. Who knows what surprises the upcoming Archives will bring?

Some ships have gotten great upgrades to increase their relevance, gaining unique special modules as well as weapons, active modules and modifiers.

Over the past year, quite a few balance changes have been made. Some of them improved the quality of equipment operation, and some of them completely revamped the approach to competitive play. The game also introduced a number of unique missiles with special effects that can be obtained in the open space. Some equipment received updated effects.

In autumn 2023, the game greatly expanded the list of ships that were available to go on test drives. Some event rewards have been upgraded, and in the near future a number of DLC ships will become available for purchase for galactic standards. Not to forget the return of the weekly rotation of discounts on in-game bundles! By the way, we hope you weren’t disturbed too much by the seed-chip malfunctions; our engineers have been working hard to get the systems back up and running!

Over the past year, a number of stories have been released on the game’s social platforms that are definitely worth paying attention to: “The Lost Door”, “Distraction”, “A Meeting”, and “Madman’s Tales”.

In mid-summer, some very exciting news swept through the game’s community: closed testing of a new project with the working title “Project Void Space”. Although there were few opportunities to get in, a message to the attentive reader: the gift code is between the twenty-first and the twenty-sixth blocks, most of the players who were willing got access, and those who stayed in the game long enough provided invaluable feedback. We thank you again and hope we can continue our work together soon!

Tournaments by the player community continued without much interruption, both weekly and seasonal. The latter, by the way, underwent a change: the “Cozy Corner” management decided to divide teams into leagues to give newcomers the opportunity to compete on a more equal footing, while the real aces fight for the title of the best pilot! This system has proven to work, and the last tournament was highly appreciated by the members. Perhaps the biggest event was the introduction of unique equipment as rewards for great achievements, which players will start receiving very soon.

“Survival” mode update

Because of the new Alien Invasion, the Sentinels developed the long-range frigate Langsax. After forming their own defence units, they sent several ships to the Mendes and Liu Families. Having estimated all advantages of the new ship, Mendes bought blueprints from Sentinels and started their own production.

The frigate is equipped with new Needle-SM torpedoes, which do not leave a radioactive cloud but reduce the resistance of the target to thermal damage.

Currently, the Mendes family has a contract with UMC and any mercenary can order the frigate. The first ships bought are already aimed at fighting Aliens.
