Balancing changes



Weapons and slot ammunition



Plasma discharger

  • The amount of energy burned increased to 5000 pts;
Comment: the previous amount of energy burned didn’t allow the unique feature of the weapon to be used effectively enough.

  • Base spread reduced from 4.5 to 3.0 degrees.
Comment: the base spread is too high and makes the weapon unstable to use. Reducing the spread will balance the weapon and make it more attractive.

Plasmatron

  • Damage to your own ship is removed;
  • Projectile damage, speed and size increased by 30%;
Comment: the weapon is practically useless in its current form.

Turbophaser DN-1

  • Critical damage bonus increased from 50% to 75%;
  • Maximum spread reduced to 1 degr.;
  • Projectile flight speed increased to 7000 m/s;
  • Weapon ranks changed to 7-17.
Comment: at the moment, this weapon is largely inferior to the Assault Railgun, including in terms of usability, providing only one unique feature in the form of EM damage. This change will increase the average damage of the weapon and make it more competitive.

MIRV launcher

  • Projectile speed increased from 1450 to 1800 m/s.
Comment: a slight increase in the relevance and convenience of firing.

Attack drone (engineering)

  • Damage increased by 10%;
  • The drone’s durability increased by 600 pts.

Comment: firing this weapon drained the ship’s energy reserve too quickly.

EMR-3 launcher

  • Projectile flight speed has been increased from 2500 to 3250 m/s.
Comment: the projectile’s flight speed was too slow to effectively hit manoeuvrable targets.

Ion emitter, Pirate ion emitter

  • Range reduced:

    • Ranks 7-9 — to 2500 m;
    • Ranks 9-13 — to 2650 m;
    • Ranks 12-17 — to 2800 m;
  • Time to overheat reduced from 11 to 8 seconds.
Comment: these changes are aimed at reducing the effectiveness of the weapon, forcing the pilots to take a more careful approach to setting up their ships.

Heavy Repair Drone

  • Durability increased to 2250 pts.

Vacuum-resonant laser

  • The amount of additional temporary damage to the enemy reduced to 1000 pts/s.
  • Now the amount of additional temporary damage to the enemy doesn’t change depending on the size and distance to the enemy ship.
Comment: this change is designed to simplify the implementation of additional damage to the weapon.

‘Sk'Rah’ Launcher

  • The cooling time of the weapon has been reduced to 1.5 seconds.
Comment: this change is aimed at improving the usability of the weapon on ships without a cooler.

‘Tai'al’ launcher

  • Missile rotation speed increased by 10 deg/s;
  • Damage increased by 15%.
Comment: these edits are designed to increase the effectiveness of the weapon.

‘T'Har'Ok’ beamer

  • The ball's flight speed has been increased to 125 m/s;
  • The rate of fire of bullets has been increased by 20%.
Comment: these changes are aimed at improving the effectiveness of weapons in both firing modes.

Tai'Thaq

  • The rate of fire has been reduced from 90 to 70 shots/min.;
  • Flight speed reduced from 4000 to 3000 m/s;
  • Damage reduced by 10%.
Comment: this weapon was unreasonably effective and very easy to use, which is why there was no need to use other weapons on recon ships.

‘Draccar’ nanobot colony

  • Damage increased by 10%.
  • The duration of the nanobot colony has been reduced from 3 to 2 seconds.

  • Speed increased by 30%;

Special modules



Wormhole stabilizer

  • The wormhole is now displayed in the interface.
Comment: this change will greatly simplify the reuse of wormholes, since sometimes there were difficulties with finding them.

Artillery beam disintegrator

  • The rotation speed of the special module gun during firing has been increased by 75%.
Comment: this special module is uncompetitive due to the need for docking, the absence of instant damage, as well as low damage compared to the standard disintegrator, and therefore this change is designed to simplify firing at ships smaller than a frigate.

Mass defence system

  • Modulecooldown is reduced from 30 to 25 seconds.
Comment: due to the mechanics of the operation, the module’s cooldown was too long.

  • Fixed a bug that caused the ship to be destroyed by remaining damage if the shield was turned off due to lack of energy.

Warp-reflector

  • Shield recovery increased from 4000 to 6500 pts;
  • Passively increases the shield’s resistance to all types of damage by 20 pts.
Comment: the number of shield points that can be restored turned out to be small for the Jericho destroyer, considering the necessary conditions for its effective usage, therefore, this change, together with an increase in the resistance of the shield, is aimed at strengthening the special module.

Raid Diffusion Shield, Tech Diffusion Shield

  • Cooldown reduced from 40 to 35 seconds.
Comment: often the increased recharge rate of the special module turned out to be more beneficial compared to other options.

Vanguard ODG “Chameleon”

  • Now, after exiting invisibility, the damage increases by 10% for 5 seconds.
Comment: this edit will increase the relevance of Jaguar with this special module in comparison with Singularity.

Repair drones (Mole)

  • The preparation time for drone activation has been reduced from 30 to 20 seconds.
Comment: these drones are not designed for combat and only increase the survivability of ships, while being effective mainly on interceptors and attack aircraft, so this edit is aimed at improving the experience of using drones, allowing them to be used on a larger number of targets.

Weapon systems sabotage

  • Damage increased from 850 to 1500 pts./s;
  • Active time has been increased from 6 to 8 seconds;
  • Now the rotation of the enemy’s weapon is blocked while the module is active.
Comment: this special module had extremely low damage, that’s why many ships often ignored it.

Reflecting shield

  • Now restores 500 pts./sec. of the shield while the special module is active;
  • The number of charges has been increased to 15.
Comment: these edits will increase the efficiency of using this special module in comparison with the Router.

Beam destructor

  • The amount of drained energy has been increased by 100 pts./s for regular ships and to 500 pts./s for destroyers.
  • Now passively increases the hull’s resistance to all types of damage by 20 pts.

Green mist

  • Cooldown time reduced to 12 seconds.
Comment: the last edit of this special module was aimed at reducing the effectiveness of synergy with the “Gravi-Wave” module, capable of replenishing the charges of the special module. So now, when this is no longer relevant, it was decided to return the cooldown time back, while leaving the preparation time as it used to be.

Crystalline swarm

  • Turret mode: now increases resistance to all types of damage by 10 pts.
  • Turret mode: projectile rotation increased to 12 gon/s (now about 10), damage reduced by 400.
Comment: these changes are designed to increase the effectiveness of these modes.

Balanced swarm

  • Attack mode, hunting mode: increases resistance to all types of damage by 10 pts.
Comment: this edit is intended to increase the effectiveness of this mode.

All the swarms of Ellydium

  • Reduced the coefficient of explosive damage received by the swarm.
Comment: this change is aimed at increasing the survival rate of the swarm against projectiles with explosive damage.

Crystal Hunger

  • Now the description considers the last repairing tick;
  • The amount of the restored hull pts. has been increased to 4500.
Hive

  • Now the cooldown time of the special module depends on the rank of the ship:

    • Ranks 7-8 — 35 seconds;
    • Ranks 9-10 — 34 seconds;
    • Ranks 11-12 — 33 seconds;
    • Ranks 13-14 — 32 seconds;
    • Rank 15 — 30 seconds.
Comment: these changes are designed to reduce the effectiveness of the special module at the minimum ranks of the ship.

  • Now the module’s cooldown time depends on the rank of the ship:

Scavenger drones

  • The drone’s flight speed has been increased to 1500 m/s.

Quantum leap

  • Energy consumption at all levels of improvement has been increased by 100 units/s.
Comment: this special module showed overestimated efficiency, so this change is aimed at weakening it.

Jump crystals

  • The charge preparation time has been reduced to 25 seconds.


Active modules



Hazardous veil

  • The duration has been reduced from 15 to 10 seconds.
Comment: this module could prevent the enemy from capturing the beacon for a very long time, while having a relatively fast cooldown time.

Mail drone beacon

  • “Ion diffuser” no longer destroys the mail drone.
Comment: the use of this module with such a long recharge was too easily interrupted by an AI-controlled enemy in the open world, where there are quite a lot of enemy ECM interceptors.

Sniper drone ‘Partner’

  • The penalty to the hull resistance has been reduced from 75 to 50 pts.
Comment: this edit is designed to reduce the risk of using the module when the drone does not provide adequate protection compared to the received penalties.

Autonomous repair station. Autonomous charging station

  • The cooldown at all levels of improvement has been reduced by 5 seconds.

Satellite crystal

  • Maximum distance reduced to 1600 m;
  • Speed increased to 550 m/s.
Comment: these changes will reduce the effective distance of the module, forcing the interceptor to stay at a closer distance to the target.

Crystalline suppressor

  • Fixed a bug that caused the main charge to not hit the target.

Waz'Got battle station

  • Plasma turrets: projectile speed increased to 3000 m/s;
Comment: this edit is aimed at increasing the effectiveness of this improvement option.

  • Induction charger: energy recovery increased to 125 unnits/s.

Autonomous battle station

  • The flight speed of missile turrets has been increased to 2000 m/s.
Comment: Similar to the Waz’Got battle station, this edit is aimed at improving the effectiveness of defensive weapons.

Main caliber

  • Fixed a bug that caused the second shell in the volley to not hit the target.

Hull converter

  • Now the maneuverability penalty is not affected by implants and modifiers;
  • Now the module repairs 2 pts. of an ally’s hull for each point of reduced durability of its hull.
Comment: these changes will increase the module’s efficiency, increasing its relevance compared to other restoration modules.

Energy emitter

  • The amount of energy recovered when the module is activated is increased by 2 times.
Comment: this change will help to better cope with the negative effects of ECM modules.

Infobarrier

  • The working time has been increased to 15 seconds.
Comment: this change is intended to increase the efficiency of the module due to the possibility of its longer use.

Alien intuition

  • Now the energy consumption during activation depends on the rank of the ship:

    • Ranks 3-7 — 175 pts;
    • Ranks 6-10 — 195 pts;
    • Ranks 9-13 — 220 pts;
    • Ranks 12-17 — 250 pts.
Comment: this module showed excessive efficiency, so these changes are aimed at increasing the cost of its activation.

Wormhole projector, Jump system “Kapkan” and Teleportation sphere

  • Now, when one of these modules/modifier is activated, the others start to reload.

Hologram crystal, Phase Modulator

  • Now, when one of these modules is activated, the other starts to reload.

Nano-devourers

  • The restoration time decreased by 2 times (to 3 seconds);
  • The restoration rate increased by 2 times;
  • Now the restoration affects all the allies within its effective range;
  • Reloading time decreased from 41 to 35 seconds.
Comment: the module provided too little support to the team due to specifics of its mechanics.

Reserve shield system

  • Now the activation of the modifier is accompanied by a visual effect;
Comment: these changes are designed to increase the visibility of the modifier.

“Echidna” processor

  • Speed threshold increased to 35%.
Comment: this change is aimed at increasing the permissible mobility of the ship for the effective use of the modifier.

Iridium heatsink and Shared cooler

  • Minimum rank reduced to 8.
Comment: this edit is designed to increase the coverage of ships optimal for the game on these ranks, as well as to increase the effectiveness of rank 8 suppression destroyers.

Multipurpose shield

  • The shield volume bonus has been increased from 17.5% to 25% (for rank 17, Mk.4).
Comment: this edit is intended to increase the efficiency of using the modifier.

“Second Wind” repair kit

  • Now the amount of hull restored increases with upgrade;

Combat control

  • Rate of fire increased by 2 times.

Because of the new Alien Invasion, the Sentinels developed the long-range frigate Langsax. After forming their own defence units, they sent several ships to the Mendes and Liu Families. Having estimated all advantages of the new ship, Mendes bought blueprints from Sentinels and started their own production.

The frigate is equipped with new Needle-SM torpedoes, which do not leave a radioactive cloud but reduce the resistance of the target to thermal damage.

Currently, the Mendes family has a contract with UMC and any mercenary can order the frigate. The first ships bought are already aimed at fighting Aliens.
