How to use "Remote play together"




  1. Launch the game
  2. Press [Shift] + [Tab]
  3. [Right-click] on the friend you want to invite
  4. Press [remote play together]
  5. Have Fun

  6. If your game does not launch in full-screen press [Alt] + [Enter]


Bug Fixes from Drone Update.

Bug Fixes.



  • -Flashlight Switches off when shifting between modes.
  • -Can no longer puke or get radiated in Drone Mode.
  • -There is no longer any air drag when in Drone Mode.
  • -Pressurizers now save their stored air properly.
  • -Hand shields should now block projectiles properly.

Update # 1.2 Local co-op with helper Drone!

We're finally back with a new exciting update!

We added a drone that can be played with a keyboard and mouse or in VR.


New stuff:


  • Helper Drone. Can be remote-controlled by the VR player, to repair the ship if you're out exploring or the like.
  • Helper Drone can also be controlled by a second player from the PC.

    The Helper Drone can salvage, repair, shoot and "grab objects". and interact with most UI panels.



Fixes & tweaks:



  • Fixed Issue where the radiation shower would not update UI.
  • Fixed issue where the "Titan" would move through your base.
  • Fixed issue where the "Hand Shield" would be dropped when you grabbed something (yikes).
  • Tweaked non-symmetrical displaying of gun ammo.
  • Fixed Issue where a spaceship was a missing collision.
  • Doors Auto-Open toggle now require a "hold press".
  • You must now confirm in UI when you want to salvage a part of your base.

A sequel


We're super excited to announce that Abode 2 is coming at the end of October.

The steam site is up now so check it out and add it to your wishlist.

Abode was an amazing game to make so we really felt like we wanted to take that concept and bring it up a notch, we really feel like we managed to keep the essence of abode while also adding a lot to it.
It's also our first sequel which is pretty awesome.

Update # 1.1.9 - Finally, long awaited fixes and improvements.

Finally, an update is here.



We're so happy to say that we managed to fix a bunch of things and even add some new stuff!

New stuff :

  • Crafting will be using both the suit inventory and the storage units in the ship.
  • Added Gravity gun mod
  • Added More tutorials
  • Added help in the main base computer (description of most of the stuff in-game)
  • Added more lore stuff in the main computer archive.
  • Added quest system
  • Added countdown for comets and incoming hazards if you have the map built.


Tweaks

  • Improved Radiation feedback.
  • Gates automatic toggle is now saved
  • tweaked wall plant pot collider
  • Debris despawning better
  • increased the minimum salvage time
  • Changed the handheld shield to be placed on the wrist and from there be toggled on/ off.

  • Fixed Index controller fixes
  • Fixed Suit radiation bugs
  • Fixed "Transfer all" button on nano storage.

Upcoming Update!

Finally, an update is in the works.




We just wanted to let you know that we have an update that will be launched at the end of the next month, with fixes, tweaks and some New stuff.


New stuff coming up:

  • Crafting will be using both the suit inventory and the storage units in the ship.

Tweaks

  • Comets will no longer randomly spawn, instead, they will have a countdown timer so you will always know when they'll come to be able to time your trips better.
  • Improved Radiation feedback.

  • Suit radiation bugs


There's more coming up as well.


We'll be launching this on test branch early next week (july 30th)

Update # 1.1.8 - Hacking game fix

At long last


Hey, all. Sorry for the delay in updates.
we're working hard to still make this game even more awesome.

Delay reason:
We have another project going to be able to keep us afloat since star shelter alone can't do that, so that has been stealing some of our time.
we're still very keen on improving the game but it might take a bit longer between updates now.

FIXES



  • Salvaged pressurizer reappears on reload
  • nano box storage number wasn't always accurate
  • Loss of suit speed upgrades after a restart
  • Shields were too small
  • Locker number font too big
  • Comets spawn too often later on.
  • upgrading storage space bug
  • Salvage things in the space station is now slower
  • Inconstant/broken hacking game.
  • Multiple comets were incoming at once during the warnings
  • Sleep text on the bed was backward.
  • Improved climbing colliders in the space station.


TWEAKS



  • Base nano storage is increased to 75
  • Decreased research cancel button size.
  • Suit start storage is reduced to 50
  • Increased flashlight range and reduced the radius.




Things we're working on now:


Grab Issues
We're reworking the grab/interact mechanic system in order to fix the grab issues people are having. it's also going to improve the physics interactions.

Multiplayer:
While we have to go through all the interactions we're also looking at multiplayer support.
We're not fully confirming multiplayer yet but it's quite likely now since we had a successful test where we could see each other. We don't have an ETA on that though.

Star shelter Full Release!

Star shelter is now released after one year of early access!

THE PAST:


I just want to thank everyone involved with providing us feedback, and being part of the early access process, it was all crucial to get it to this point.

THE PRESENT:


Getting the game out of early access just narrows down the possible changes and making it more clear for you as players to see what changes could be reasonable at this point.

THE FUTURE:


Dont worry, we're not abandoning it, we still have some patches planned ahead and if there's any issues we'll make sure to fix them as soon as possible!
