Skirmish Event: Blight - Mega Arc Part 1 - 2022-06-02
Tam Elbrum and Gomtuu appear on the outskirts of the Alpha Quadrant, but something isn’t right, as Gomtuu attacks a starbase. Attempts to reach Tam or Gomtuu all fail. The living vessel must be stopped before anyone else comes to harm, but what could cause such a violent attack from such a gentle creature?

Announcing our Players's Choice Mega-Event: Living Vessel
Greetings Captains,
As part of our June Players’ Choice tradition, back in March you were asked to vote for the theme of this month's mega arc. The three options were:
- Facets of the Past (DS9 + Trill) - Tin Man / Bio-Ships (TNG/VOY + Astrophysicist or Exobiologist) - Archer Mega (ENT + Inspiring)
The winner was Tin Man/Bio-Ships, let’s explore what this mega-event will be about.
Starfleet is evaluating the use of organic ships within their ranks. However, the “Tin Man” returns, not quite the docile creature he was once known to be. This frightening encounter is only a prelude to a bigger nightmare, as a crew dispatched to study the wreckage of a Species 8472 bioship disappears and the remnants of their doomed expedition could herald disaster for the entire galaxy.
For the duration of this mega-event crew with the ‘astrophysicist’ trait will provide an event bonus for all four events, the schedule will be as follows:
2022-06-02 - Skirmish event - Blight - this event will introduce a new ship: Gomtuu! 2022-06-09 - Galaxy Event - Pruned 2022-06-16 - Faction/Galaxy Event - Apoptosis 2022-06-23 - Faction Event - Pluripotency

With today’s server release the following changes have been made to the game:
- Addition of a new collection, Curious Flora, for crew with the ‘botanist’ trait. This trait currently applies to 17 characters.
- Captain DeSoto: addition of the ‘resourceful’ trait, and stats improvements
- Professor Data: stats improvements
- 6 additional tiers of 5 purchasable crew slots have been added to the game, for a total of 720 crew slots available for purchase
- fixed a grammatical error in the IKS Bortas’s flavor text
- when playing on Facebook, the game will once again be part of the Facebook frame.

Server Release Notes 2022-05-17 New Honor Hall Ship and Gauntlet Crew
Greetings, Captains,
This week we’re introducing a new ship but this time, in the Honor Hall.
The IKS Bortas is now live and available in the Honor Hall where you will be able to purchase schematics to build, and upgrade it.
Each purchase will cost 25000 Honor and will grant 150 schematics. You’ll be able to purchase schematics 49 times to build and upgrade the ship up to level 10.
Please note that for this specific ship the schematics will not be allowed to be used as replicator fuel, this to avoid any accidental use.
‘Tribbled Koloth and Korax’ our new gauntlet exclusive crew is now live, participate in the gauntlet for a chance to obtain them!
All gauntlet exclusive crew have a random chance to drop as part of gauntlet rewards, regardless of streaks.
Additionally the following changes have been made to the game: - ‘Ephraim and Dot’ are now part of the Animated collection - ‘USS Titan Bradward Boimler’: the name of the uniform has been changed to Lt. JG Boimler’s Uniform.

Get ready for ‘Tribbled Koloth and Korax’, our next Gauntlet Exclusive Crew!

On Tuesday, May 17, we’ll introduce a brand new gauntlet exclusive crew, ‘Tribbled Koloth and Korax’, as seen in Star Trek: The Animated Series (S01E05).
There will be no interruption in Gauntlets prior to this change, the loot tables will be updated with our weekly server release. After our server update, an in-game mail confirming the change will be sent out.
Please note that unclaimed gauntlet rewards will take into account the new loot tables as soon as the server release goes live.
Balok, as all other gauntlet exclusive crew before him, will still be available in the gauntlet as part of the secondary chance loot table.

Faction Event Notes: Battle Ready - 2022-05-19
Starfleet Academy is reevaluating its physical education curriculum and trying to select one combat art all cadets must train in. As cadets from new worlds have continued to enroll, the pool of possible arts has continued to expand. During this reevaluation period, a group of cadets get in a fight with a group of Cardassians while on an excursion and concern begins to spread regarding the caliber of future Starfleet personnel. As an esteemed Academy alumni, you are asked to help mold the future of Starfleet, in curriculum and character!
