As announced in Keith Kanneg’s letter, the Legacy of the Sith expansion has been delayed to February 15, 2022.
We value the feedback our players have provided us, as it has helped shape Star Wars: The Old Republic these past ten years. We have opened our Public Test Server (PTS) once again so players will have the opportunity to give us feedback on all that 7.0 has to offer, with the exception of story-related content to avoid spoilers. As with previous instances, PTS leading up to launch will be updated in phases.
For this week, players will be able to give initial feedback on Loadouts and the new Character creation experience, in addition to changes and updates we have made since the most recent phase of PTS. We invite players to interact with these features and provide feedback here.
We will be updating our forums with new PTS updates as they happen, so we encourage all players interested in participating in the PTS to keep an eye on our Public Test Server sub-forums and the dev tracker.

Update on Legacy of the Sith
We have made the difficult decision to delay the release of Legacy of the Sith to February 15, 2022.
Like many of you reading this, I personally cannot wait for the launch of our next expansion. I've greatly enjoyed my time exploring the depths of Manaan, testing out new story and ability combinations with Combat Styles, and more during internal playtests.
Legacy of the Sith is something the team has been hard at work on for quite a while but as we get ever closer to launch, it is clear that we need a bit more time. We’re focusing additional testing on the many areas we have changed throughout the game to deliver the experience we want, and one that you deserve.
In addition, during our public test server (PTS) your feedback was invaluable in helping us to shape this expansion. Outside of story content (to avoid spoilers) the majority of the expansion and its features will be returning to the PTS for all subscribers this week.
We're thrilled to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Star Wars: The Old Republic with all of you over the next year with Legacy of the Sith and more!

New Rewards
While competing during the Ranked Season, players earned tokens that can be traded for rewards. Tokens are not season specific, so if there’s an expensive reward you really have your eye on, you can save up across multiple seasons.
This Season’s reward includes the Unrivaled Guardsman Weapon Set. This new Weapon Set from Season 14 will be offered at a discounted price of 50,000 Tokens until the end of the next Ranked Season.
Similar to last season, the Replica rewards from past Ranked Seasons will be available to purchase from the PvP vendor. These items look and function the same as the originals, but are branded “Replica” to maintain the prestige of the original Season rewards. Don’t wait too long as these rewards will no longer be available for purchase when the next PvP Season starts.

Facing Down the R-4 Anomaly Operation
In our upcoming expansion, Legacy of the Sith (7.0), we are changing how players gear their characters and how they grow in power over time. You can check out all of the details about these changes in our Legendary Items and Itemization in 7.0 blogs.
The greatest challenges we offer in STAR WARS™: The Old Republic™ are large group encounters called Operations. As we announced back in July, the next Operation coming to SWTOR is the R-4 Anomaly, where an obscure Sith cult harvests technology from an ancient weapon of terrifying power.
Ultimately, our goal is to ensure players have the best end-game experience possible. To help us achieve that goal, we‘re planning two changes for the R-4 Anomaly Operation.
First, the R-4 Anomaly Operation will only be available in the 8-player mode. The vast majority of our Operations are run in 8-player groups, so we are focusing on enhancing and carefully tuning 8-player mode for the R-4 Anomaly and all future Operations. Existing Operations will still be available in both 8 and 16-player modes.
Second, we’re staggering the release of the Operation and the release of the expansion. As noted in the linked articles above, there are a number of gearing changes coming in 7.0, and we want to make sure players have ample time to gear up their characters, settle into Combat Styles, and get their groups ready for the next great threat to the Galaxy. But players won’t have to wait long for the Operation; with Legacy of the Sith coming Holiday 2021, we’re targeting January 2022 to release the R-4 Anomaly Operation.
This staggered release also allows us to quickly put our “players should continuously grow in power” gearing philosophy into practice. Players can expect new gear to acquire when the Story and Veteran modes for the R-4 Anomaly Operation become available!
Our goal is to get the R-4 Anomaly Operation on PTS shortly after the 7.0 PTS wraps! We can’t wait for players to take down this new threat to the galaxy. Stay tuned to SWTOR.com for more updates!
